Everyone here in the comments is whining about the Coyotes in some way or another. I just want to let you all know that the Coyotes have a very special place in the hearts of many in Arizona. You should try to respect that. You have no idea how important this team is to some people. I grew up going to the Coyotes games from 2007 to now. They became such an important part of my childhood. Please try to respect that.

Exactly! The Yotes have made their mark. Youth hockey has grown massively thanks to them. They're no longer the new team that moved to an unlikely area. No, they aren't a team that has been around a hundred years and who have fans where their great-grandparents were also fans. But they've been around long enough that now they are getting 2nd and even 3rd generation fans in kids and young adults who don't know a time before the Yotes came.

Nothing but an absolute train wreck. And they have never drawn a dime either. Let go and move on. And this is coming from someone born and raised in Winnipeg and lived thru the Jets becoming the Coyotes

@sleeplessstudios7626 You want respect, but you speak for the minority. And you did get one thing right...the team was important to "some" people. Yes, there are hockey fans in the Valley, but most are transplants that are loyal to their home teams and not the Coyotes. It's true there are genuine Coyotes fans out there, but the truth is there's not enough of them. That's why most people at the games were rooting for the visiting team when they scored. The team and staff relocating to Utah was the best thing for them, as they deserved better.

Man these clips bring me back to when I was a kid. That arena was terrible for hockey, but the atmosphere was amazing.

As a Ice-Hockey Fan in my hometown, That's not really an Ice-Hockey Hotbed, of Baltimore,MD. It's sad to see what has happened to the Coyotes. Can't imagine what Coyotes Fans are going through.

If Phoenix wanted an NHL franchise, they should have got their own expansion team and forge their own history and legacy, not steal someone else's like the Winnipeg Jets who were beloved by their fans. It took a weak Canadian dollar and Gary Bettman's careless attitude in not preventing relocation in favor of his expanding the NHL into the Sun Belt states that the Coyotes came to be.

Moving out of AWA was the biggest mistake in franchise history.

The reality is that it is time for the NHL to move on from this market. They have been given many opportunities to succeed, but everything has failed. I know there are true hockey fans in Arizona, but the vast majority does not support the team.
