I need to go see it soon. I wanna see it on imax, but the nearest one is 50 miles from here. So, I've been procrastinating.

This movie will be the only reason I will return to an actual theater.

they filmed some of this where i live in fallon nevada. we live next to the naval air station... it was pretty cool seeing all the people involved passing through our small town.

Kinda sad Top Gun moved from Miramar. I guess with all he new subdivisions around the base the move was inevitable to Fallon and North Island . End of the greatest era in Naval Aviation though.

1:04:35 was just beautiful with the song in the background. Top Gun set the aviation bar interest really high for many generations, including my own father who was in a F-16 B-course back in 1986 when the first movie came out.

Yes tears to my eye also. What a fabulous fly by and dress blue on deck in back ground!!! Way to go NAVY! And great idea on menu for Top Gun premiere on USS Midway. Tom Cruise looked amazing and all the women beautiful. And what a sky blue drop dead gorgeous day in San Diego. Cannot wait to see this movie again hard to beat a classic but we will see how well they do. My husband who grew up in France bought the same motorcyle in the 80's after seeing the original movie.

As near perfect as you can get in a movie but what else would you expect from Tom Cruise? And major props to the Navy aviators that actually flew the Jets it was incredible

I think a lott of people don't like Tom Cruise, because he's into scientology, some people think he's gay, some are probably just jealous. But, I don't care what his beliefs are. He makes an awesome movie. He's a great actor. And that's what I'm paying to see, when I go to the movies. I don't know if I've seen everything he's done. But, I can say, personally, I've pretty much loved every single thing I've seen with him in it. I really liked that movie "Knight and Day", with him and Cameron Diaz. It's cool. It's part action, with a little comedy in it. It's kinda like a comic book, type of story.

Tom is great shape.

In 1988 when I first saw it I was just a 13 year old girl in a communist country. I saw it on a video casette with family and friends. This kind of movies we could only see secretly on video casettes that were circulating from hand to hand. Very few of us had video players those times and those who had one usually invited friends and relatives so it was a special occasion to meet and have a good time together, to see how the outside world was. I remember very well the emotions and goosebumps it gave me. Top Gun was and still is one of my favorite movies. I can't wait to see Top Gun 2 - Maverick.
