    I have a "video request" for broken foot rehab exercises! For those of us uninsured, once healed there isn't physical therapy, so to have just a video of recommended exercises would be so amazing! Your crutch walking videos saved me when it first happened, I'm not very coordinated and didn't think I'd ever get the hang of using them, but your videos helped me more than anything! Glad to be off the crutches finally, but now need a little help on the rehab front since I've lost so much muscle in my foot and leg! Thanks guys!

    Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I just had a horrible euc accident and broke my clavicle, scapula and several ribs. I don’t have insurance or money to pay for therapy so I’ve been researching online and you guys share some of the best information I’ve come across. It’s only been 2 weeks since my injuries so I’ll have to wait a bit until I’m ready for these exercises but I’m happy that there person like you that share good information online, thanks

    One of the most painful things to happen. As a nurse I helped people with this problem but had no idea how debilitating until it happened to me. Thank goodness for great physical therapist who helped me recover. Been over a year and I still do exercise 2x week to make sure complete stretch capability.

    I had one of these fractures right by my rotator cuff. Proximal humerus. It’s been 2 years and still hurts. I don’t have full capability of my arm. I also don’t have health insurance or money for a physical therapist so I’m stuck here watching KZread videos. I just want my shoulder back :’(

    I started massage therapy (I am an LMT) and energy healing in the ambulance. 6 weeks after the break, my orthopedist was amazed at the amount of passive motion I was able to achieve. He could not guide me in strength. This video is wonderful as I enter into the next phase of recovery. Thank you.

    I go to physical therapy three times a week for a non-displaced fracture of the humerus. I like how you suggest readily available things at home to help patients do the exercises. In the rehab center, my PT uses the special equipment. I like your friendly exchange, too. Some of the exercises you do I do in the center and it is good to know that they are the ones you also do. I still have scapular weakness but have had big improvement since I started physical therapy. So far, I've had 5 weeks of therapy at 3 times a week.

    I have a broken scapula right now on the left shoulder for 2weeks and I am searching for this excercise. I hope I will get healed and recovered to my movement and force even if its extremely painful to lift and twist my arm. I hope we all get back to normal. We can do this. Thank you❤️

    I had a horrible motorcyle accident last October 2021 and had a surgery on my Complete broken right scapular and shoulder(inserted titanium) as of now im rehabing and continue healing my shoulder and cant do this right now, cant lift my right hand, its a bit dissapointing to myself. Hope i can regain my normal movements. Thank you for this video. keepsafe

    I broke my femur, ulna & humerus 5 months ago and the recovery for my arm has been the most difficult. 2 months ago I had to go back and have 2 screws put in my humerus and was in a full cast for 5 weeks. I was told I would probably never be able to fully extend my arm again. These exercises work! I went from a 55% range to 95% in the 3 weeks. I expect to be 100% in the next few weeks!

    You are my two most favorite physical therapists on the internet! 💗 I broke my humerus head 2 1/2 weeks ago. These are a ways down the road for me, but I definitely will have to use this later. I'm doing a few shrugs, gentle dangling, rotating my forearm, and reawakening bicep and tricep now, since I am still in a sling. Trying to pay attention to pain and what my muscles will respond to/seem comfortable with.

    I currently have a humeral avulsion fracture. I was watching this video while connected to our Bluetooth speaker. Our 16 year old son heard your voices and said, “Woah! You watch Bob and Brad too??!” I was like... “Huh? I just found these guys for the first time looking up shoulder recovery. But they’re awesome! Hilarious!” 😂 He agreed and said he watches y’all all the time and then proceeded to sing your intro song!! 🎶🎤😂👏🏻 I just thought y’all would like to know that if you’re watching Bob and Brad, you’ve reached the “cool” part of KZread according to our kid. 😎🤣

    Thing is not to rush you have let bone set at least 3 weeks before you start proper exercises on the shoulder , after 6 weeks of fracturing my collarbone I was able to return to manual work but it took a further 6 weeks before I had full pain free use in the shoulder

    thanks a lot, guys. this really is helping my post-op clavicle orif recovery. had a hard time returning to work once i got full range of motion in the arm but had no strength to cope with the physical demands of my job. really appreciate the scapula exercises as I was suffering the most with pain in my scapula muscles. will do these exercises daily from now on to see if it helps. it wasn't painful to do the exercises, just a little uncomfortable at first.

    Broke my clavicle half a year ago. Had a surgery on it to install titanium plates. Will try this video. I can still feel numbness and slight weakness on my arm after the surgery

    What a helpful video. I have been doing sheets of exercises following a shoulder fracture 4 weeks ago. It wasn't entirely obvious what some of the exercises were actually doing for me or which ones I should focus on. You've really cleared it up for me guys. Thanks!

    Make sure you let your fracture heal first before doing these exercises. If you are in a sling it's important to keep your shoulder immobile until it heals which usually takes about 6 weeks - I was allowed to take my arm out of the sling to stretch the elbow up and down forward and lean forward, let the arm hang straight down and gently go left to right and in small to medium circles - I did those up to 6 weeks, then I started with running the hands up a wall and stretching the arm out to the side with a stick, now after 3 months I'm doing exercises like they show here.

    5 weeks ago mildly displaced fracture through the left humeral surgical neck with extension to the head. fracture of part of the greater tuberosity. sling came off a week ago. still hurts to move my arm in circular motions.

    Question, if one was hypermobile to begin with and had a hair line/stress fracture on the outer end of the clavicle that presented with pain only, and no actual passive decrease in motion. Is it supposed to be still painful after three years? All those tests come out evenly, only difference, bad side hurts. Stretches don't help, muscles are not tense, so it is easy to strech due to hypermobility.

    This is great advice guys! I got a humeral head fracture from a car on bicycle accident (me on the bike) on 1/4 and am just getting back to some PT. I will surely incorporate your stretches as I heal. I am a masters swimmer, mostly butterfly, so my shoulder is kinda important to have a full range of motion. Thanks again for posting!!

    @@christianfritz3373 Hey Christian! Thanks for checking in. It's much better, with one big caveat. I can ride totally pain free again and I can swim mostly pain free again, which is great. My streamline is not as tight as it used to be off the walls, but hey, that's the end of the world. The only part that is still a problem is I can no longer swim butterfly pain free. Meaning, big meaty sets that I used to just do as fly to get ready for the 200....not so much any more. But all in all I made a pretty darn good recovery.......And so will you. I really think you will be swimming before you know it.

    @@KidFury27 bro I fell off my bike because of my tires I fell on my left shoulder all my motions are fine but only with some help I got some and drank plenty of milk I had pain over he left side of my heart the bones connected it got pushed in I used a technique where that I have a friend pulling my arm and I hold my arm pit I heard a slight pop it felt better but then I used a relaxant I am a boxer in my gym when I do my smash move only a little hurts it’s been 4 days now all perfect any more tips for a better recovery

    For the exercise you show that start about 8:00, can you use a massage chair where your knees are bent and your face is in that horseshoe shaped head rest and your chest is on a rest too?

    I fractured both my shoulders at different times one about 10 yrs ago and the other about 8 yrs ago .. both healed and I’ve had no pain until about 3 months ago. Both shoulders are painful now.. especially at night. I’ve started doing stretches etc but pain is still there. Any suggestions??

    I broke my humorous at the surgical neck(no surgery) I have 3 out of the 4 range if motion points. I can't reach up my back equally. I get tingling in my outer fingers. My question is Thai Chi and Qi Gong too much 9 months post injury?

    At what stage can you do these exercises. I had a hemurus bone mid-section fracture 3 months ago and had a surgery and a metal plate placed around the bone, but not screwed into the bone. It’s a SS plate with 4 thin legs on either side of the plate, which is wrapped around the bone. So, it’s not a rigid joint but a semi-rigid joint. When I do these kinds of exercises, it pains like crazy. I can’t take pin killers. I tend to vomit badly after taking Tremmadol Hydrochloride pills.

    Guys….by the time I get to this stage of doing these exercises, I’ll be in heaven. Talk about non-surgical treatment for the first couple of weeks (I can’t sleep in a bed) to the point where I could maybe start to focus on walking my fingers up the wall…right now, I’m dying and just looking how to start any relief.

    I broke my arm up near my shoulder 4 weeks ago and can someone please explain why my whole arm is muscle sore! I’ve started to do the pendulum exercise and the pain is unbearable.

    Oh my - Had humerus fracture 4 weeks ago - SX 2 weeks ago (put in a rod and 3 screws) and there is no way I can do these on my arm yet. Hoping to start physical therapy next week. Thanks for the video - Maybe i will re-visit it in a week or two.

    I can't lift arm straight up after fully healed shoulder fracture.. doesn't seem to be due to muscular weakness. Once the arm is starting to lift, it goes "off plane" and that's the reason. No idea why...

    Fractured my shoulder 7 weeks ago. After surgery and 4 days in the hospital, I began PT in week 2. Now, no sling and most people might not notice any limitation. Mobility improving but still PT 3x/week and I have a long way to go before full recovery. Any views how long until full recovery? Specific exercises to do?

    Hi Doctors hope all is well. I had broken my clavicle about a month ago (Distal Clavicle fracture 1/3 Lateral) and had surgery 2 weeks ago.. on my last checkup the doctors told me its healing well but its to early for the bone to completely join together I was told to start moving my arm and do exercises (Not specific ones) I am asking if its ok to do these exercises even though my bone hasnt completely healed. My muscles hurt a lot when I keep it in one position when im walking and as soon as I start doing exercises the pain goes away. Id appreciate if you can help. Thank you!

    NofearGaming, hey how are now? What about the shoulder? It is okay, and recovered full. Can you used your hand now daily routine , I broke my shoulder humerus falling roof top one month ago, As I'm also gone through a surgery, and have inserted a plate with metal screws, after 6 week unable to move hand and strong elbow stiffness. Any suggestions would be help full. 🙏

    3 weeks in to a broken hunerus about 4-5" ' down from my shoulder. plus broken wrist in 2 places near my wrist bone. Md said to do pendulum exercises. he did ask me if I wanted to sign p for pt sessions, but it's so far to drive I said 'no - not right now'. videos on how are super helpful. I'm female - 5'10" 155 lbs and 65 years old. suggestions?

    I’ve fractured my humorous only 2.5 weeks ago I think some of these exercises might be a little too soon? Anything for earlier as the fracture is not healed yet. Thank you

    I had ORIF operation proximal humerus 6 months ago and I have been doing exercises I have improved much but my flexion and external rotation Range of motion haven't recovered like the other arm there is still a small difference between both arms Should I continue exercuses and it will improve or It's too late?

    Hi im from the philippines i have a complete angulated clavicle fracture with minimal callous and scapula fracture with no changes in degrees of displacement according to the result of my CT scan, it is my 9th weeks now, my doctor treated me with non surgical,using sling for atleast 8th weeks and suggested me to undergo for Rehab ( Physical Therapy) my question is can i do that exercise even if i dont to the 1st session of my therapy?

    I had a broken clavicle and was in a sling for about 6 weeks. I had full motion when I healed, but my muscles were still really weak. Hopefully these help.

    @@jbenano8730 For me I was in a sling for 6 weeks and then had to limit my shoulder movement for another 2 weeks. After that, it took about 1 more week to regain strength. Total about 9 weeks recovery, but I'm a teenager so depending on your age you might heal faster or slower.

    @@ian5804 did your doctor recommended that you should use your sling for 6 weeks or you just decided? My doctor recommend me to remove my strap for 4weeks.

    @@jbenano8730 He just made me check back every 2 weeks and after 4 weeks he said that it hadn't completely healed and he wanted me to keep it in longer just to be safe. I think I healed slower than average, though, so 4 weeks is probably the norm.
