I like the Stephens selection a lot! I think you could argue for every RB (minus Zeke given where he's at in his career)

Rico Dowdle and the Jalens-WRs.

Thanks for the video. You skipped the offensive player that many, many Cowboys fans want to become the breakout player of the year. I'm sure that you know where I'm going with this paragraph, but I'll say it anyway. We'd all like Trey Lance to become the breakout quarterback in 2024. We'd like him to play so well that Prescott asks for a trade just to have a chance to play in 2024 and get some kind of free agent deal in 2025. For many of us, Trey Lance being the big breakout of 2024 is the big hope. The other offensive player who I hope has a breakout year and starts on his path to the Hall of Fame is Tyler Smith. I'd really like for Tyler Smith to breakout at left tackle where they originally wanted him. That would allow the Cowboys to put Tyler Guyton at right tackle and trade away Terence Steele's big contract. Maybe they could also trade Zack Martin's big contract and have Smith, Beebe, Hoffmann, Bass, and Guyton across the front. I think that lineup would be the offensive line of the future with Nathan Thomas being the swing tackle and Asim Richards being the the swing player all across the line. Jake Ferguson would be a good candidate for a breakout year. He might be the most likely to have that kind of year this year. The wide receiver room seems to be a complete question mark. Unless Jalen Tolbert goes through a late NFL puberty, he doesn't seem to be a player who will ever be more than a good enough WR4 or maybe WR3. Granted, that's the spot he's trying to get this year, but to me, a breakout year for any of the wide receivers would be a year in which that receiver was pushing Brandin Cooks for the WR2 position. Maybe Jalen Brooks is capable of that, but we haven't yet seen that potential. Again, maybe he has that "Ah Ha" moment where everything comes together for him. Otherwise, we have a bunch of rookies who didn't seem all that great in college. I'd love to see someone step forward as the next great wide receiver in the league, but that person might be a rookie. The running back room doesn't seem to have much promise. I worry that Rico Dowdle will continue to be hampered by injuries. Everything in his history suggests that he's not going to have any year where he plays all seventeen games. Hunter Luepke could do well. If he could erase the memory of the fumble, that would be a big step for him. None of the others seem to have much real potential. Maybe we'll be pleasantly surprised.
