Cowboys news on the Dallas Morning News listing TE Princeton Fant as their #5 breakout candidate this season. Fant played in just two games this year, but Michael Gehlken argues he should not be overlooked: “Ferguson, Schoonmaker and John Stephens enter camp in pole position to make the roster, which realistically leaves only one spot between Hendershot, Brevyn Spann-Ford and Fant. Don’t sleep on Fant, who projects as a potential core special teamer for a team expected to dress four tight ends on game days.”

One of them TE will get release. I don't think Fant will make the roster.
Man - I wish that Dallas would look at Princeton Fant as a fullback for another year on the practice squad. The man to me seems prototypical of the old-style fullbacks.

I wouldn't be surprised if Stephens or Schoon start the season on IR/PUP. They LOVE to stash players on there. Ball and Waletzko need to have company in there lol. It felt like thats what they kept doing with McKeon, he was always either on PS or IR to start the year

The only thing I can imagine why they didn't put DT on the list is if they aren't going to separate DT from DE/Edge? Then, the DL could arguably be the second most need (though I don't agree it's just a little closer).

Zimmer DID draft Kearse to be fair. But if Zim was to sign and move a safety to LB, wouldn't it just make more sense to keep Bell at LB?

@@mrgetmore1876 Anyways, if you were the GM and signed every last one of those players you’d stunt the growth of damn near every key guy on defense. Gilmore wasn’t very good last year (I don’t care about age I care about results). Kearse can’t cover a thing or be a consistent player in the run. Adams is still solid but again can’t cover a thing and stunts the growth of better safeties/linebackers. If you were intelligent you’d know those aren’t even top 3 safeties on the market… Also no one on that list is a playmaker aside from maybe Adams. Try again dumbass
