Agree with all you said and I’ll throw Hunter Luepke in that category, too. Once he fumbled, his season was basically over. To me, that’s TERRIBLE coaching. That’s one of the best ways to destroy a player’s confidence. This is all a big part of the reason why I am ready for a REAL HC.

  • @PapaLobo94

That fumble basically cost the Cowboys the game against the Dolphins. We score there and I think it's a completely different game. But half the blame goes to the coaches. Hunter hasn't touched the ball in forever, then you give it to him on the goal line?

Yeah and the play was a run/pass option, just run the damn ball and don't put that thought in Luepke's head. All season in short yardage situations you could have used Luepke but because the HC is hot garbage you didn't. The biggest back on the team and a former RB and you failed to utilize him in those situations, it's criminal for a HC to be that incompetent. Especially when you lied and said the running game will be the focus point of the offense.

My years in coaching & management have taught me that the Vast Majority Of People Who seek jobs where they get to order around others seek it for That Thrill & that thrill only. They do Not Care If they destroy a child's future along the way. Now y'all have to understand something here. NFL team owners are _business_ owners. They do not know what makes a good or winning coach & when humans Don't Know A Thing, they either avoid it or 'translate it' into something they *do* know. "Player's = employees, coaches = supervisors; That class of employee who acts as a buffer between me & the lower classes." You know who looks like a good coach to team owners? Tyrants like Matt Patricia & Josh McDaniels. You The Fans need to do better too because Matt Canada *_was_* chanted out of Pittsburgh. But fans have a mentality to. Most act as if questioning coaches is accusing one's own father of lying. That's gotta stop. Mike McCarthy's play-calling turns to sewage under even low pressure. I've never seen anything more obvious in my life. & I've yet to hear one other fan or analyst point this out. The Ravens, Cowboys, even the 49ers all got eliminated this season Just Because their HCs couldn't think clearly under pressure. Sean McVay *_just_** hired an assistant for* exactly that scenario, to keep him focused under pressure. I hope this starts a trend because there's only 1 HC I _know of_ who *doesn't* lose their cool even with Travis Kelce screaming in their face & I never want to be on a team that loses because of such momentary mental paralysis. Poor Josh Allen...

Personally i think the Cowboys missed an opportunity in the later portion of the season last year, to start getting Deuce more involved in the offense and start designing plays for his akill set. Get a change of pace back to go along with Deuce, someone to do the work in short yardage game and i could see DV developing into a real game breaker. Designed screens and even those cut back runs between the guard & tackles could be a gold mine for a compact speedster like Vaughn. I really hope they use the young man this coming season. Id love to see what he could accomplish and the effect it could have on the entire offense.

Thanks for the video. Most college players don't reach the NFL. That means that Deuce Vaughn spent much of his college career running against men who didn't have the physical tools or the talent to play for the NFL. In that scenario, a very small back has a better chance of beating those players and making good plays. In the NFL, he faces the fastest and strongest players. These are men who are better than some high percentage of the players that he faced in college. Even in the preseason, he's facing a lower quality of defender than he faces in the regular season. By the last preseason game, many of the players who will make the team are seeing limited playing time, and the ones on the field are the last guys fighting for the last spots on the practice squads. With his shorter legs and lower muscle mass, he may not have the physical tools to thrive in the NFL. Undoubtedly, some team would have taken a chance on him, but that doesn't mean that he has enough to succeed in the NFL. I hope that Deuce Vaughn will become a quality contributor to the Cowboys. I could see where he might get three to five touches each game and do good things with those touches. The problem is that if someone else is a better punt and kick returner, he's not going to be valuable on special teams. That makes him a guy who can only really be on the field five or ten plays each game. A player who has the potential to play ten to twenty plays each game, particularly taking over for another player who is injured, has more overall value. Maybe Deuce Vaughn will make the team again, but I won't be surprised if he ends up on the practice squad.

Some UDFA players and late-round draft choices develop in the NFL and become stars. Others don't. His physical limitations might keep him from becoming a star or even making a team. Deuce has major untapped potential. His diminutive size made it hard for defenders to find him and his electrifying burst of speed when breaking off of blocks makes defenders often take bad angles and miss. As you pointed out, playing behind the second string o line, in situations where opposing defenses stacked the box knowing they weren't going to throw the ball, would make it hard for any back, even the great Barry Sanders would have had a hard time getting yards in that scenario.

I'm thinking Zeke is getting 12-15 carries a game while handling the blitz pickup on obvious passing downs. I also think Jerry wants to air it out this year and see if Dak is worth 60 mil. Deuce fits into that picture by playing a Darren Sproles like role. If he gets 90 receptions for 750 yards plus 5-7 carries a game next season, he would have had a damn good year for that role.

Deuce isn't a starting back in the NFL. But his lack of production isn't his fault. The line didn't seem to have a cohesive plan to run the ball. Biadasz struggled and Deuce got garbage time reps. I believe that part of a players success or lack of is because of the coaches plan or lack there of for the player. It's not going to make you look good. Deuce went from a feature back at K State where they had a plan for him to a backup back without a real role. While I like McCarthy, probably more than other people do, this is him and Brian Schottenheimer's failure. You NEVER take a player without a plan. You never try to make one player be another. McCarthy's coaching conservatively cost us the SF game last year and then he adjusted. DQs failures cost us Arizona, Buffalo, and Green Bay. But that's another conversation

@@sasquatchmedia9504Finally someone has the courage to tell the truth! He's a running back you will not be afforded to be granted "space" so you can run free. Deuce as you said has to get stronger Center of gravity or become Barry Sanders like with cuts and jukes to create space on his own. I swear Cowboys fans these days... Idk

If the Cowboys didn't have much Work for Deuce in the running game last Season then i felt like they Should have tried to Use him in the kick'off or the Punt returns for the Special teams Unit ! Especially after everyone have already Seen just how quick he is for his Size, the Cowboys need to find a legitimate Way to get the best Out of his athletic talents in a reasonable Manner.

Good video bro our line been trash every since Travis Frederick retired and Ronald Leary left cause Jerry didn’t want to pay him. Once those guys left every running back we had got tackle before the could get going. A trash line means trash yards 🔥💪🏾💯

If they used him right in the system. McCarthy is all about passing, obviously with greenbay. Daks numbers were pretty, but no rushing threat offense. More balanced with the defense they had would have gave them better opportunity. 2014 offense with the new defense as of late would have been huge. I think DQ got a fat offer and helped laid that turd against GB in the playoffs.

Well, unfortunately, Tom Landry is passed away. He knew how to use players. The reason Jerry and Jimmy got so much for Walker in that trade was Landry knew how to use Walker and made him look like Superman. Andy Reid is a Landry-like coach, innovative, gets most from his players.

disagree. dude couldn't get out of a tackle, period. the wind would knock him over. he is great in open spaces, but can't do anything when surrounded last year...doesn't matter who was blocking. he needs to get some bulk on him, which i sure hope he does cause when he gets in the open field, he can do some things.

The only way Vaughn will help with a championship is on the practice squad. Only reason he made the 53 was because of daddy. He carried the ball 23 times with a whopping 40 yards. He was demolished when he tried to run (especially against New England) and couldn’t pass protect what so ever. He was a good college back but the nfl is a different monster and it showed last season. Now we have to rely on Rico since the the team felt they are solid at RB going into the 2024 season 😔🤔

i'm not high on Estme. i think he will be an okay back, but he wouldn't be a 3rd round pick. that would be a big reach for this guy. you are probably looking around a 6th rd or 7th rd pick for him. he is just a straight ahead back, not great speed for an NFL back, has power but not elusive.

depends on how he comes out in training camp. if he added some weight, muscle he does have the shiftiness when he is in the open field. the problem is that he can't break any kind of tackles. that's why his yds per carry is so low. once a hand is put on him, he falls to the ground. it was his first year and i know some players don't come in physically ready and can't get to that level in the 1st year in the NFL. we shall see
