@JKItsMeAlGore I would say, and others feel free to comment please, I feel it's best to keep the arms in an arc, reduce the weight, and drive with the extreme outside/pinky edge of your palms. Once you feel it more in the rear delts, you're probably on to something :)
Top “7” yo-yo tricks video coming soon 👀?
I still cannot believe John is gone. He’s been my go to for workout tips on KZread for a long time. RIP my friend.

Yep, John’s training videos is helping me right now! I appreciate them so much. Rest in peace, John Meadows. 🙏👍❤️💪
Seeing his son in this video made me cry instantly... The best die to young, always...
I wanna see Alexander combine a yoyo trick with a rear delt movement
John -- Thank you for being my online trainer during the pandemic lockdown -- these videos were and still are so important to my fundamental understanding of weight training. Your every-man approach to teaching was never snarky, never condescending, and always informative. I hope that you somehow know that every time I load my barbell into the landmine, your name lives on when I decide to do my Meadows Rows. I still can't believe you won't be showing up with new tips. RIP. And PS -- the yoyo tricks were such an unexpected and entertaining break during the videos.
So bummed about John. Your definitely missed sir. Rest easy knowing your still helping countless men and women with gains. Thank your always!!
I love these videos. I enjoy it when he says, "...and that's okay." So chill.
John, PLEASE keep on with your Mountain Dog "Build Your Own" Series!! In your Q&A video, you mentioned the responses weren't all that great or it might be too complicated. Hope I speak for many others when I say please keep on with the 4 phases for each bodypart. Very, very helpful and informative on how to build a Mountain Dog workout for each bodypart! Keep it going! Anyone that has any questions, John Meadows is one of the nicest, most patient, and most polite people in the world. I'm sure he will be glad to help anyone with questions about "Build Your Own".

I credit john for convincing me to use partial reps and making sure I dont ignore my rear delts. Shoulder progress has been noticeable since incorporating these suggestions.

RIP John 🙏 Thank you for all of your dedication and contributions to the sport of bodybuilding 💪❤️
I did your shoulder routine today. I haven't been able to lift my arms since.
This is just what I need right now, Thanks John RIP Edit @ 3 months: These are amazing exercises and really do work, I do 5 of these in a regular rotation...
All about results and no ego lifts, one of the things I appreciate about mountaindog, rip sir.
Thx man. You’re bringing back the golden era workouts.
I’ve been working on some very effective and creative shoulder routines latterly. Feeling good! 💪 Thanks for the content!
I've seen you recommend heavy dumbbell swings in several videos but today is the first time I tried them. Never felt my side delts work so hard before. Definitely a staple in my routine from now on

Glad you like them!
Thank you again John for your experience and expertise!love these keeping it interesting during this time where some are limited!God bless 💪🏽❤️
One of my favorites is a Mike Mentzer inspired "superset" for mid delts. It's first ordinary dumbbell raises to failure, however you like to do them, going into a Smith machine overhead press (he did behind the neck, but I skip the risky lower part and only let the bar touch the top back of my head, where my shoulders feel good), which is subsequently done to proper failure. This lets you train the the entire ROM for mid delts, giving you two sets and two exercises for the price of one. It burns and feels amazing. For those who love high intensity techniques, like I do, this also lets you go very safely to failure, and when the positive is done, you can squat the Smith machine bar up and even do a slow negative or two, where I lower it all the way down in front of me.
Fantastic! I am doing all of the shoulder exercises you demonstrated. Appreciate all your videos. Keep up the great work and most importantly take good care of you.
Don’t have to watch full vid before hitting like always good thanks for all the great info
Tried the 6 ways exercise and that is no joke. Adding to one of my upper body days. Thanks for all the great info you provide.
The 6 Ways are great especially where I had Pectoral surgery and a few years later rotator cuff surgery. So building my shoulder back is a high priority. Also the YoYo tricks are amazing!
Man you are the OG. Much appreciate you and your wisdom, simplicity, humor and experience. I can look up to you.
Alexander is definitely progressively overloading his jo-jo technique :)
John is my favourite coach I watch on KZread. Proper vids and technique. Never met him but he seems a like a good man too, I hope one day I could visit the US to learn something from the big man.
John Meadows godfather of body building
As always, thanks for the awesome stuff you put out John. It is immensely appreciated. God bless and stay safe !! 😀😀 Happiness and health to you and your family !
Love these videos. You demostrate tons of ancillary bodypart exercises I would otherwise not think of. Thank you!
You are still my inspiration. I didn't know you personally, but I miss you, John.
Thanks for the videos
LOVE shoulder day, thanks John!
I love this series. As always thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Useful and entertaining series !!Thank you!!
Thank you John!
Woohoo! Another shoulder workout video. Delts and quads are my favourites to work out. I have been doing the partial side raises on every shoulder day 🙂
Learn something new every day! Thanks John
Those side heavy dumbell raises feel amazing... thanks for turning me on to them, love the simplicity of them
I love the way John starts his videos "hello everybody". Such a beautiful soul. Miss you man.
Short and sweet. Thank you 🙏🏼
Thanks John! added dumbell swings...great pump!
Excellent video, as always. Thank you. Please keep it up.
Fantastic tips here thank you
Hi Jonh, Great video! Really enjoyed watching the exercises and learning. Big thank you for making the video. Cheers, Billy
Great work. Cheers 🤜🏾🤛🏻
Great video!!! Definitely saving to “Favorites” playlist 👍🏻🙌🏻😀
Great series
I love learning from guys who clearly know what they're doing. Thanks and R.I.P. John.
Right in time for shoulders today!
Love the way you talk to us. Makes it easier to understand. Keep it up!
i've started doing Lying cable lateral raises since a few weeks ago and i love them i've never felt my shoulders better :)
You are looking in great shape John, your traps, upper back, biceps and chest are something else, thank you for the video.
Always great content and so humble
Can't wait to these!! 💪
Thanks John this is great 👍🏻
Man John those swings are absolutely brutal. I get weird looks at the gym I guess because of the partials but damn I’m pleased with the results!
I can’t believe that’s the first time I’ve seen the roll the barbell up the wall one...I can’t wait to try it. This is gold, thank you!
Very useful exercises and it works
thanks john nice exercises and all focused on isolating the shoulders.I will add a few of these in for sure
I like the use of the wall with the band and really dig the standing barbell press against the wall. I have shoulder problems from several injuries and haven't felt comfortable doing overhead presses with a bar since sustaining them. Thanks a bunch John, you truly are the man, man👍🏻.
I'm here for the yoyo tricks....why this dude keep talking about shoulder exercises????
Many thanks
Awsome video this guy always shows us the best exercises
I really enjoy all of your videos and use your exercises in my routines. Keep posting them please. You're a great inspiration and instructor.

I used the y raise and the 6 ways for shoulders this morning. I can really feel the burn with both exercises. Thanks a bunch.
Love the series. Heavy partial side laterals was great. God bless.
I liked your Smith machine leg video so much mine arrived today! I ordered one can't wait to assemble it! Great videos wish I could have seen them forty years ago!
I love that "bird" partial lateral raises you do with heavy DB. High volume with minimal rest has been better effective for me. Thanks 🤴
For me the best bodybuilding excercises and tips that works are in your channel.Period!!Thanks so much mountaindog🙏🙏💪💪💪🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
In the last video I commented saying that I saw it right before chest day, I was normally gonna do biceps today but decided to try these moves out instead. Loving it! I hope the timing's the same with the biceps vid, gonna go to the gym friday!
Great exercises! Alexander is rocking it too!! 🏋🏻♂️💪🏼🪀
Thank You
I love the spider crawl. You showed this a while ago and it fixed my shoulder.
Nice, I am going to note these

Love this video style. Make more. 👊🏼
Thx, John 👍💪
Your such a wealth of knowledge love all of your videos thank you so much
Great series John! I love these videos. Hoping you return to doing some more killer workout vids eventually! But these videos are awesome as well!
I am extremely interested in all of your very thematic videos with detailed explanation from you. I implemented many of your training advices in my routine especially when it comes to calves and shoulders... In just a 3 months my calves are 5 centimetres bigger! Thats amazing but I been doing it at least 6 times a week... Sometimes even twice a day but freaking hard. Shoulders too... And arms... Anyway I sending you greetings from Montenegro (small country on south of Europe). Thank You!🍀
Love this! Can you please do a video on tips/things you do to increase shoulder mobility and/or to stop shoulder impingement or pain please! I'm sure over all of your years of experience you have a lot of valuable knowledge on this
Amazing video John !!!
👍💪👊 Awesome! Got to try those spider crawls!
