Thrifted a pair of Tecovas, Suede Shane, for $19.99, barely worn. They were the hardest boot I ever tried to put on, but once my foot was in there, (and yes they are my exact size), they were the most comfortable boot I have ever worn. Hardest boot to get on, but the most comfortable I've ever worn. Lately, I have been eyeballing The Roy, suede side zip boot. I think they would be a lot easier to get on my foot. As long as they are as comfortable as The Shane...I think I would be greatly satisfied. Great boots.

Nick’s is #1 right now for me. I love Nick’s, Viberg, and White’s bounty hunters. But Nicks HNW in E width with all the MTO options is the best overall boot I’ve tried.

I love how boot snobs rag on Thursday, but when you ask them to come up with a comparable alternative for 2 Benjamins, there's crickets. Yeah, they're not perfect, but for the price they're the only game in town for GYW boots with the quality of leather they use.

Crocket and Jones are my favs

Can’t agree more; my Iron Rangers get all the wear they can when the path gets tough. And I’m really itching for a pair of Grant Stones 😢

Beckett simonon Williamson with the combat boot souls! Never worn anything more comfortable and they look badass.

Whites and Truman boots are the best boots made, hands down 🙌 Jim Green boots are the most functional and comfortable for your $$$. Red wings are too painful but rewarding if you don’t mind the brutal break-in. Wolverine 1000 mile boots with the Horween leathers are great as well.

Own two Thursdays their captain and the casa moto, they are so nice.

Haha, clueless. Thursday isn’t even close to being a work boot unless you sit at a desk all day. Very low end build quality. They are cheap fashion boots, nothing more.

I choose Whote’s and Nick’s over Wesco. Hand stitched stitchdown construction is old school lost art still employed by some of White’s. Agree w/Grant Stone being good value for $$ and the Truman being a high quality product for those who’s budget cannot afford the Nick’s & White’s

Tbh, Thursday Chukka Boots are the best and affordable boots you can have so far. I bought my Thursday Scout in 2021 and wear them to work daily and they developed beautiful patina over time. My second recommendation will be Oak Street Boots. I just bought 1 pair this Thanksgiving and they are marvelous in quality and design. I think my next brand would be Grant Stone. 😂

I got the Tecovas Dean roper boot not too long ago at their Waco location and they are the most comfortable shoe I think I’ve ever worn 🇸🇴🇵🇱

Well I have 2 out of the 7: Captain and Iron Ranger. I like the Wesco Mister Lou but I’m going to stick it out with my Wesco Boss for now.

Had my ear the whole way but heard tecova above Chisos! Grant stones are definitely on the list. Rose anvil will tell you all about tecova and chisos.

I prefer JK, they make great work boots. That’s usually what I wear, because I’m not into fashion boots. Thick leather and tough soles are the only things that survive in the deserts long, so I have a good appreciation for that

For me: 1. Nicks (first PNW boots I got and they bang) 2. John Green (great boots for the price and they're basically superheroes in real life) 3. Thursday (good formal wear boots, great gateway boots, fast break in, they actually listen to costumers) I'd add more but I'm still new to this scene

What’s the best boots for general purposes (work, social, outdoors, indoors, travel) and their endurance/ability to be refreshed?

Love Thursdays, but if going for a proper work boot to wear on the job and take a beating? I go Dakota. Have for over a decade.

1. Nicks ( Best boots I've ever owned. Their lasts, quality control, and durability are second to none amongst the PNW brands). 2. Red Wing ( For the money? You can't beat them. Their styles are awesome. Their Heritage line has great build quality and aesthetics. Plus they are a well built durable boot) 3. JK Boots ( From the high value 300/300X line is an amazing value. Their O.T. Boots are the perfect combo of a durable, rugged work boot, and a light, easy to wear, comfortable casual boot). 4. White's ( The cool factor for this brand is just amazing. Very classic, robustly built, and they are more comfortable than most of the PNW brands) 5. Wolverine ( They make a good little cheap work boot. And the 1000 Mile Boot is iconic). 6. Thorogood (Good build quality, nice style, and their Moc Toes might be the most comfortable boots you can buy). 7. Grant Stone ( For the money you won't find a classier, more high quality boot. Love their materials and their design choices).

If I were to buy any boots in the future, I'd buy them from either R.M. Williams or Rodd and Gunn. Both brands have incredible high-quality boots for their respective price ranges for the most part.

Are the Thursday's in the Tabasco color? Didn't notice it was that dark a brown.

I have a pair of the tobacco captains. I've only had them for like 2 months so idk how it'll look with some wear, but brand new, they're not as dark as this video shows. The video on Thursdays website is accurate, but the pics are a bit off

Red Wings are spot on, They do not send internationally so I had to resort to farfetch, the price felt outrageous and I kind of had to lie to my self it was worth it, luckly I got a 15% discount so I payed a fair(ish) price for what I got.

GS makes awesome boots. I have 3 pairs of Thursdays (2 captains and a pair of Loggers) a pair of BS Elliott Balmoral, and a pair of GS Ottawa’s. I think GS’s are the best for the money and they have awesome customer service and their boots are super well made with bar none qc. I have had my Ottawa’s for a month now and no loose stitches and the footbed are finally breaking into my foot. Their isn’t much padding on GS boots but that’s because they are all leather midsole and insoles. They are better than AE for sure and on par with Alden’s.

@@iHustleLXXXI definitely not “on par” with Alden. GS makes a superior boot. Alden is overpriced junk filled with synthetic materials. Its basically a $300 boot that they are selling for $600+

I have Tony lama, Nocona, Belleville. Love the lamas and Belleville. Was really disappointed in the Nocona. For the price they were, they weren't that different from their Justin cousin. Not worth the price imo, but still better than almost everything on this list

Zero drop anything? Something doesn’t squeeze toes. Natural foot shape. I found lens boulder boot the MOST COMFORTABLE I have every felt. Also, Vivo Scott boot. However the soles blow out IMMEDIATELY.
