  For dress boots, you cannot beat Grant Stone boots for style and quality. Truman has the best range of leathers, including rough outs, and top quality. Wearing leather dress boots is the best decision I ever made and enjoy it tremendously every day.

  I'm still waiting for the answer. The Jim Green is bulky and ugly. The Redwing is heavy and has a wedge sole. Redbacks are good, but the overcomplicated sole looks silly and cheap. The Thursdays seem nice, but they're more of a dressy boot. My last Blundstones lasted 15 years, and I'm still wearing them for yard work. People buy Blundstones because they're light, incredibly comfortable, water resistant and are a perfect four season boot for snow, rain, mud, and just kicking around town or the woods, especially in winter. I totally agree they're expensive, and they're even slightly ugly, but there's really no better alternative.

  Have ysed redwings for years and finally bit the bullet and got some nicks. Theyre so beefy and durable not super comfy yet ( 30~hours broken in).

  Don't tuck in your boots? They don't work? You know some of us live in humid places with bugs and ticks? Also I tuck in my jeans into my boots for saftey cause when I worked renovating homes, it was a pain in the ass to have my jeans get caught on stuff. Also if you like tucking in your pants, jeans and all others included, into your boots for looks, why shouldn't you? Just cause you don't think it's visually apealing doesn't mean it's not useful or some people's go to looks.

  For me: 1. Nicks (first PNW boots I got and they bang) 2. John Green (great boots for the price and they're basically superheroes in real life) 3. Thursday (good formal wear boots, great gateway boots, fast break in, they actually listen to costumers) I'd add more but I'm still new to this scene

  This guy's voice is like sandpaper to my ears.... And then he starts off with telling us his favorite way to lace his boots ...and then shows the most common from the factory boot lace method that everyone already knows how to do . This is a waste of time.

  Are Thursdays Captain’s and Grantstone Diesel’s fit the same size ? I wear 10.5 D in Thursdays and they are perfect fit. About to get GS Diesels but not sure on what size I should go. PS: I live in Canada and not easy to exchange for the right size

  Which boot would you recommend to a bartender? I had blundstones for two years but the leather cracked on the top by the crease. Every shift stuff spills on the boot, sugar, beer, etc. so they have to be wiped often with a leather cleaner.

  Can anybody recommend a replacement for Blundtstones? I used to love them, but their sizing has changed and don't match my feet anymore. Also, just had the soles on a recent pair crack for the first time! Different rubber?

  I would not call Nicks Boots high end. I purchased a pair and they completely stuffed it up, wrong heal and very poor quality, send back, will never shop at Nicks boots.

  Kreosote no way. That dude is milking his craft, and why not we are capitalists. But for me if I am paying $2gs and then wait for 2+ years, them boots better come with stormy wearing them in lingerie. That aside, I think his boots are bulky and are suitable for those in the “strong man” look which I am not personally. Red Wings, Wesco and Truman, all day everyday.
