@Daquan McDonald-yeah, it is. You can actually feel a difference in speeds in Madden 20. The WRs will go to the ball even if it isn’t directed 100% toward them. The QB doesn’t throw the ball behind his back when he attempts to throw during a sack, and you can actually run the ball. Madden 20 is not great, but way better.

Yep, Madden 13 is what did it for me. That was the last Madden that I bought. I swore off ever buying Madden again after playing that game. 8 years later and I still haven't played or bought a new Madden since.

Love him or Hate him, he speaks the truth. I remember when I was younger how creative Madden was and how I loved to play it on the ps2 more than any other game. Then I couldn't play for some years but I was still playing Madden 05,06, and 2k5. When I started back playing the newest Madden again it was Madden 13, 25, and 15. To me, Madden 15 was better than 25, and 25 felt kinda better than playing than 13 but I was still missing the more creative features in the past Madden games. I still have Madden 17 today and I don't plan on telling my mom to buy 20 at all because Franchise is kinda dead and that's the only game mode I can have fun in playing without having to spend any kind of money, and that's all Madden is about now, the money they get from being the only football game company and the games are trash but people are stupid and they don't realize that Madden is using them for their money and not really trying to improve the game overall. That's why I can't wait until 2k release their next football game they've been taking about.

I really miss those training camp style drills in the old madden's. Rushing attack, precision passing etc. So much fun and replayability. I haven't bought Madden since Madden 25.

man, remember early 2000's, when there were choices? NFL Quarterback Club, NFL Gameday, NFL 2K, Madden... every one of them improved drastically every year. every year it actually felt like you were buying a new game, not just paying $60 for a roster update and less features.

I was there. I spent a lot of time on Quarterback Club, NFL 2K, Madden 95. 90’s football was amazing.

This proves madden is trash so one day I was doing a rebuild on the bengals and second season picked up Andrew luck and Antonio Brown thats all the changes I made that season and won the super bowl and went 13-3

Hey softdrink here's a little story, when I was around 16 I was actually excited to play madden 13, as I got it as a birthday gift and with that blind excitement thanks to how fun madden 12 was in my opinion, gave it a chance, but the longer I played it, the game felt like it took a nosedive in things suc as gameplay and creativity to the point where I just couldn't play it anymore, and that's where I stopped caring about the series and it's now bleak future, I even gave ultimate team a try and I couldn't even get used to it. So that's how the fun in madden ended for me, nothing more than a game series that's a shell of it's former self.

@@khanman8113 I do say i have to agree, i only have NFL 2k5 and APF 2k8 and i had a blast, my dude, my 2k5 disc is a bit scratched up and i have no ps2 controller atm i'm waiting for my new one to come in, so i'm playing a ps2 madden game on my jailbroken ps3 as well as APF 2k8, i'm planning on bringing in some old school AFL teams with some NFL Europe teams as well.

Finally, someone listened about Madden 13. I remember getting thinking it was going to build off of a great Madden 12. I was wrong and disappointed as most of my favorite stuff was almost all gone. I have only bought 3 Maddens since due to this game. I played past games on PS2, I was too young to understand what completely happened. I miss the fun nature. I literally could not do anything that was fun other than playing with my brother as out favorite teams. It was just childhood naivety. The first thing I noticed was the missing create a team and mouthpieces. Small things that made the game fun and realistic were completely gone.

Spot on, once again my man. Ur memory & knowledge of sports games is so detailed & accurate. Always enjoy watching ur videos, great content. Keep'um coming man. Hopefully 1 day people's at E A will watch these videos & see da light. Thts the only hope we got as Hardcore fans of 🏈.

“It’s just a video game, you don’t have to play it” always sounds like a cop out for me. Yes certainly you can but if that’s the mentality of the ONLY football game put out every year, that’s very irresponsible. Imagine a player telling a team “you dint have to sign me, I’m just an athlete” you’ll be an unemployed athlete doing that I’m sure. And how can you be passive aggressive in that situation, but are still willing to pay for the exclusive license every year certainly “they don’t have to buy the license, let everyone have an NFL game” see the pattern here, that’s not justification when you are the ONLY NFL game that’s released consistently. But all good things must come to an end including lazy representations of billion dollar companies

@@sambeezy007 my personal favorite, when it comes to superstar mode, is Madden 07 on the PS2. It's very in depth, even showing you your individual game stats every season, much more choices for parents you can choose from, and you can play as any position on the field including O-linemen and kicker. It's the game I've put the most time in on superstar mode, and I've played '06-'10 extensively for the superstar mode.

@@sambeezy007 do it man, I think I got mine for like $6 on Amazon. If you pick parents who ran track in high school, or are Olympic athletes you should definitely be able to get a fast QB. I picked a quarterback who's mom had an IQ like 130 and dad who was a Hall of Fame QB and I started with like a 82 overall lol.

Capalotcortez 11 was my first ever madden so I had to put it up there. 16 was fun because I think it was the first madden to introduce Draft Champions

Hey softdrink, I feel you man my first madden was Madden NFL 10 and I LOVED it because of how smooth the gameplay was and I would enjoy how much customization was available at the time and I remember getting madden 11 and 12 thinking the same thing then when I got madden 13 I was SO disappointed and I would never play 13 I would always play 12 because the new manager at EA at the time was so garbage

I don’t even buy madden anymore but love watching Softdrink and Ryan Moody tear it apart.

I totally 100% agree with this list. Even M64. Loved it as a kid, played it as an adult and was like "this game sucks", the good memories were pure nostalgia. And I'm so glad you put M13 as #1. HATED that game, almost gave up on the series then but M25 was better so it reeled me back in. M19 however, broke me and I refused to buy 20. Love your videos dude, keep up the good work!

I got madden 19 for my birthday and was so excited until i realized 90 percent of sliders are glitched. Every time you try and customize a player, the slider gets stuck on 4 and 7 most of the time.

Well we all know now, that madden 21 is worse than any other

I agree with you 100% with everything said in your number one. Until they get back to PS 2 basics, I’m just going the the motions on any later madden. It’s not just a game. It was good memories. It was an escape. It allowed your creativity to stretch as far as you could without being associated to the NFL. I don’t see anything wrong with asking this of EA.

About the fumble slider, its really weird, you have to push it to the right and max it out to 100/100 to cause less fumbles

Tony Wade exactly it was glitchy and I think that was the year they started the park events but it was too laggy to even play if you could even get on.

Man I remember back when we used to have neighborhood franchises where everyone in the area had a team and we played each other. No games were skipped in the season and we did all off seasons together. This was Madden 02-05... Shyt Im currently still playing my Madden 09 on PS2 as i type this.

I remember spending hours upon hours on superstar mode back in madden 07

Madden 06(360), Madden 13, Madden 18, Madden 19, Madden 20 my predictions before I watch the video.

I never own a console. I played Madden 90 on my Amiga and then return to Madden franchise on 2019 on PC after 29 years. Listening to you for me is just like watching Lord Of The Rings.

I played madden 13 on the wii and it slapped didn’t have any ultimate team either and had a dope franchise mode

I'll 100% agree with you on the other Maddens,but I never had that much of a problem playing 19 or 20,and this is coming from someone who's played the game since Madden 02.

Madden 13 on the WiiU was the best way to play. Having the touchpad allowed the players to call audibles and draw out new plays live. The modes were lacking, but the one ability to use the seperate screen was so much fun.
