Madden 05 and fight night round 2 were the very first game I got on the ps2 almost 20 years ago which is crazy

Madden 06 and 07 was the best maddens qb vision was a great addition idk why they took it off they ability to look off defenders was lovely

Madden 06 was the best because it separated the elite passers with the QB Vision imo

I agree with this list except for 1 thing. In my opinion, Madden 10 is the greatest Madden of all time for one reason.... The Extra Point presentation. At the time, this presentation was absolutely ground shattering, immersive, made you feel like you were watching ESPN or Sportscenter to figure out how teams were doing. Just perfection.

Madden 03-08 was the reason madden cant meet my standards today. Mini camp, hit stick, qb vision. The customized screens of my favorite players. 12 year old me was a spoiled football fan 2005 was amazing Madden 05 Espn 2k5 Mvp baseball 2005 All top tier games

I missed that because I had arguably the 2nd best one which was NBA Live 2004. Sports games in the 03-06 range are just unparalleled

Madden 2000 started everything for me. Mainly because that intro with Ludacris.

Madden ‘04 had rush attack too! Playing that in the dorms all night long. Better than 11 on 11. Made things more personal :)

Madden 02-05 were a three peat for EA. 05 being the best ever to me. It was flawless throughout. 03 was the funnest madden imo. You could get those EA created teams you had to unlock like the monsters. Miss them days💯

Great video! I like watching both your channels. I`m new to Madden and video games in general. I been playing Madden 08 on gamecube emulator the past couple months and recently got a xbox one x and now play Madden 21 as well. The controller layout is completely different. Anyway do you or anyone know how to switch the X and B receivers so they are on opposite sides of the field all the time in Madden 08. On the controller, B is on the right but on the screen he`s on the left and vice versa for the X button. Spent half a day on googoo trying to get an answer to no avail. Anyways keep up the good work!

U should go back and play Madden 06 on Xbox 360. U gonna laugh so hard by how much that game is broken. I threw a pass 90 yrds behind me on the 10 yrd and it was a fumble. Scrambling 90 yards to try and recover a fumble is something I will never forget.

06 and 08 were my favorites. Back when even the sound track was good

They need to bring back create a play where you could create your own formations and make custom run and pass plays🙌

I've logged the most hours on Madden 03 Marshall Faulk cover, 04 Michael Vick cover the best year, 05 Ray Lewis cover 06 McNabb cover, came back with the PS3 with that 09 Brett Favre cover. Went broke again and came back with that 12 Peyton Hillis #40 Browns fb cover. Took a break, came back with that PS4 O'Dell Beckham Madden 16 cover

For me madden 15,16 and 20 were the the most fun I had out of any madden games. 19 was just terrible

Madden 03 had the best soundtrack.

As a Brit who only got into American Football the last few years, I'm itching to play a Madden game. However, playing older games - I won't know half the players. Playing newer games feels like I'm propping up EA's terrible buisness practices plus it sounds like the older games were better...

Unpopular opinion but I got back in to Madden after like a 10+ year break the my freshman year of college 2018 so my first game was technically Madden 19. I have so many fond memories having my boys come to my room and we play madden for hours beating one another. We would literally set the quarters to 1 minute to get a quick game in before class lol. So I don’t hate that game no matter how bad everyone says it is. I know the gameplay wasn’t as polished or realistic but none of us knew any better since they were all soccer players & I hadn’t played Madden in over a decade. I know my opinion is biased but I would put it at decent for me 😃

I think you got the top pretty good 04-08 are really the hayday of madden I also really loved madden 12 and im still playing madden 16 because everything since has been absolute trash Madden 64 is the game that made me love football so I gotta mention it at least

Its so drastically different to see how most of the maddens in the early 2000s were some of the best madden games...and then the exclusivity rights kicked in, and then it was in the ok to good categories...and then ultimate team came and now most of those games fail to even be decent or memorable. Madden is awful now. Im glad i still have madden 07 to go back to whenever i wanna get a fix of football

Madden 15 was the worst one because they had absolutely stripped the game of all fun. It was barebones, the user sucked. Passing hasn't gotten the catch animations yet, ball carrier moves were cheesy and everything felt scripted. 16 was awful because the aggressive catches were extremely broken. 17-18 were still developing and had no identity. 19 and 20 were god awful. They tried to be too realistic and too new at the same time and ended up feeling terrible. 21/22 were decent and broken in certain ways
