Madden06 was so deep, I actually had a physical notepad that I used for a scouting book. Yes I would actually sim seasons of NCAA Football, write down the Names of the Top players & award winners & add them to my draft board because you could import draft classes from NCAA. I literally drafted players onto madden that I had followed since their freshman year lol. I had so many draft steals because I had guys in late rounds that I saw have incredible seasons in college so I knew they were good players. I don't think EA will ever get that deep again.

While a lot of AAA gaming is going that route, there's still some good stuff out there. Single-player games are relatively unaffected by this wave of money-hungry games, especially indie titles. I can boot up Hollow Knight, Celeste, BoTW, etc. and get games that are still one-time purchases. At most, there's paid DLC, which isn't really that bad. And in terms of multiplayer, fighting games are a genre that can be monetarily exploited as easily as sports games.

So true especially for sports games. EA and 2K care more about micro transactions to make a quick buck than to actually make a simulation sports game. They’ve got kids addicted to gambling with MUT. They’ve become obsessed with “culture” and looking cool, like who cares if you can play as Migos in Superstar KO lol. What’s crazy is soo many people would dish out the cash if they made a game like Madden 07 or NFL 2K5 again. We’ve been screaming for it. We grew up on classics like MVP Baseball, when FIFA was actually good, NFL Street and so much more. At least companies like Rockstar & Naughty Dog still make quality video games. Playing RDR2 & TLOU series gave me hope there’s still quality in video games but it’s really rare.

It still boggles my mind how player movement and presentation is better on the ps2 than the ps5 and xbox one.

Madden 07 is so nostalgic to me. When I was a dumb naive little 9 year old, all I would play was Madden and NHL 07. Those were the best memories I've ever had as a kid. Me creating my own players with a deep and immersive franchise mode was some of the best experiences I've ever had. I've been watching your videos since 2019, and all I gotta say is, I love your content and it's always a blessing when you upload. You're the guy that made me realize that emulating old Madden games and playing them in 4k was a possibility, and I will be eternally grateful for that. I can ramble on all day about how new Madden sucks, and how I've been watching your channel from your first Madden bad video to Liquid Fever and present day. But I just wanted to say thank you for delivering top notch content and for being one of my favorite KZread creators. Madden 07 for life 😄.

I was playing 07 last night on my ps2 slim. First time in 2 years. It's still funner than any next gen Madden.

I used to play nfl 2k2 religiously nonstop all day. I was so amazed at the smooth organic animations and the insanely realistic passing trajectories. Then the broadcast presentation was next to none. While playing season mode I threw a Lil bit too high lob pass to Tim brown while on the run even though he still caught it. Seconds later while showing a replay the commentary team was specifically talking about how my feet was not set while throwing and joked about Tim brown having jump boosters on while showing a vertical scale to show how high he jumped. That's the moment I started to realized how superior 2k was🔥

Still play Madden 07 & NCAA 07 on my PS2. It's wild how good it is. Really looking forward to whatever 2k cooks up in the next few years when they get back in the space.

Another thing, in Superstar Mode you could import your NCAA 07 Campus legend and play out that career. The stories and lore man made investing worth it in a career mode!

For some reason when I imported him Madden 07 turned my 99 OVR, 4 Heisman winning dual threat QB who was black into a white stoner looking guy with blonde dreadlocks who was only 70 OVR. The most hilarious thing that's ever happened to me in a video game.

I recently bought a GameCube because I wanted an older system. The store I got it from also had Madden 07 and good lord, it’s easily the best version of Madden on any console I’ve ever played.

Madden nfl 07 on PS2 was my first madden game and what made me a lifetime football fan. It helped me understand what I was seeing on TV as a kid every Sunday watching football with my dad.

Played this game on Gamecube for hundreds of hours with my friends. Pure nostalgia.

All they care about is graphics !! They see better graphics they think it’s better and more fun to play ! That’s why they can’t get out of that nonsense they are stuck on because of the graphics.

I loved making my own play book and took my high schools team playbook to madden and to learn the playbook, I would use the playbook as my teams playbook when I played with friends. Friends loved that the team playbook was there and I gave copies of that to them to play for themselves. I think it helped us know the playbook and how we won a state championship.

I created this game in Canada For Madden 06, NCAA College football 07,I did all the basic running form, rout running form, basic catches, diving catches...but the diving side line toe drag camera review catch I made there,, changed EA motion capture system permanently for all EA mocap calibrations. When Stuart Hill was the contractor.

04-07 Had so much creativity and innovation. The depth these games had was incredible and it improved year after year. Match that with the additions of the Hit Stick, Skill Stick, QB Cone (I know this mechanic is somewhat divisive but I actually enjoyed the challenge), Lead Blocker, and improved AI, these games were the complete package and made every August a time to look forward to. The immersion is all but gone with Madden. I no longer feel like I'm in the middle of a NFL season when I play. I feel like I'm playing a half-assed, predetermined, undercooked arcade football game that happens to have NFL licensing. The fun is gone. And there's no excuse other than EA's greed and laziness.

Something I really like about this one is the cover athlete. Fitting that the “greatest” Madden game has Alexander The Great on it. Sean Alexander wasn’t the latest diva player to be put in the spotlight, he was a workhorse who did all his talking on the field.

I actually got this and ncaa 07 again, been playing this since and having a blast! Can't believe the detail they put in both of these games, they actually cared about the game

Even though I liked the Xbox 360 versions of the NCAA Football games, NCAA Football 07 for the PS2 is the best game in the series. It just had so many features, game mode depth, and player/team customization that the other games before it didn't have, and more than the NCAA Gamebreaker and NCAA College Football 2K games had.

This is the video game I played year after year on the GameCube as a kid. It is the game that made me love football, understand it better, and helped me learn every player in the league. Franchise mode made me want to be a coach, and superstar mode made me want to be a wide receiver. So I’m very grateful for this game’s existence. This and NFL Head Coach we’re my favorites.

I’m in year 2022 in Madden 07 so all the players are imported from NCAA 07 I signed a 2nd year QB last name Brown from Virginia cause my franchise qb is out for 6 weeks I scored 4 TD’s with Brown bro fans was on the radio talking about Brown performance & saying “he got great field vision etc” I was shocked happy & entertained that’s really really deep into the franchise...meanwhile in a article in the NY post my original 2nd string is nagging about playing time...you’re not accurate bruh & my rookie TE scored his first TD all that & more in the NY post that’s really cool

If you could give someone madden 22 (series X/ps5) right after madden 07 came out back in 2006, I think there would be some complaints of lost depth and features but overall people would be incredibly Impressed with the graphics and the feel. It would be received incredibly well.. Now do the same think with NBA 2k7 and today’s nba 2K21. It would seem like the damn holy grail of video games. There would not be one negative thing said, the game would literally blow peoples mind. A sports game 15 years in the future should have that reaction of 2k. There should be no comparison at all. It’s night and day. Madden however still would have it’s negatives and there’s aspect of madden 07 that still do things sooo much better than madden 22.

Ahh the memories 😌 I would play franchise mode with my cousin, he played QB and while I played WR. Then on defensive, we would play as safeties! Good times.

I still get out 09 on my PS3 once in a while. It is the oldest version I have that runs on hardware I have in my house. It is sad, that when my PS3 dies, Madden will be a thing of the past. I probably play Sunday Rivals more than anything today, and want to thank you for putting that video out last fall, and it is coming along nicely.

So, it took place little over a year ago (middle of the covid craze). My parents and sister were going to the campsite and it was an hour away from my audiology location and I was already there. I decided to try to wait 3 hours but however, starbucks closed down their dining which prevented me from gaming on my laptop that I brought with me. So, I was driving around town and saw the Game X Change sign and figured "why not". Got in and saw 3 or 4 ps2s and NFL 2k5. Fast forward a year, now I have over 40 ps2 games and 15 ps1 games. I am happy that I went retro and I watched your videos on what to get next to add to my collection. Thanks!

Spent so many hours on this game and I still do because of recent maddens , definitely my favorite all time

This game was so amazing. I remember getting together with friends and having tournaments with this game. I loved Superstar Mode and playing through college on NCAA 07 and exporting your character to Madden. Oh the love I have for this game.

The running game was so good in these Madden's. It was so weighty and the o-line blocking AI was fantastic.

The vision cone is one of the most realistic things ever added to a football game, which is exactly why everyone hated it. Being an actual QB under pressure isn't supposed to be easy.

This is the madden my childhood friends and I still play. I always felt it was the best one, but felt it might be nostalgia. I'm happy to know me and my friends weren't the only ones who loved it.

Damn the ps2 maddens was amazing first madden I play as a kid was 2002. But madden 07 was a different breed back then 💯

Don't tell 2007 me that though as i was hardcore ps2 fanboy at the time even though i had an xbox for Halo.. *Rumor has it that you can custom playlist and Xbox allows you to drag/drop it into Madden files and ur own music now plays like the soundtrack does. in menu & stadium PA... but i never personally tested this theory....if so it sounds epic!

This was my most played Madden game. Creating an entire team with all original players (with a few free agents you had to sign to someone) took only about an hour. Plus the soundtrack; there is not one song on that game that doesn't bop or rock!

Tbh this video almost made me cry, what happened to us? Gaming is so weak nowadays 🥺😓

I am so glad someone finally mentioned the Lead Block Control. I was so mad when they removed that that I started buying the next few Madden second hand

I will forever be a fan of Madden NFL 2005 (my first Madden and still my personal favorite), but frankly most of the PlayStation 2 Maddens are exceptional. Hard to find problems with any of them!

I was 21 when 07' came out. Besides Halo and SSBM, we played the ever loving shit out of it in college with my roommates. Great times. I can still remember the rosters by heart.

I honestly never knew they made Madden 06 and 07 for the older consoles. I remember Madden 05 and is my favorite madden all time. Ray Lewis on the cover, Tony Bruno, great madden moments, easy trade and deep drafting mechanics. Plus the create a player. I remember playing games against my dad every saturday and us importing his great players from his NCAA teams - Go Irish - to bolster the team. Hits like a ton of nostalgia and I wish my only memory of Madden 06 and 07 were not those stripped down God-awful next gen titles. Thanks for the video. Making me wish I could take a day off and just play a match again against my old man. Subscribed.

I so badly wish Madden was good enough to at least play. Unbelievable how it feels like '22 was made by a group of 6½ people.

I literally forgot about being able to control the lead blocker... that could definitely help with the smoothie brain blocker AI in modern Madden lmao

That is what it was for back then too. PS2 Madden had the worst blocking until recently. Madden 10-14(25) saw massive improvement until more recent editions. PS2 Madden had only two kinds of blocks: the guy in front of you or pull. Double teams almost don't exist. Lateral movement doesn't at all. No traps or anything of that nature.

RIP John Madden. I played Madden from the beginning Sega days and through the different eras. Madden 2006-2009 on PS2 was definitely the golden era and the most fun time to play imho. It's such a shame that today's Madden has regressed so much in content and quality and relies solely on its paid content walls like most games do today unfortunately. And the fact that they monoplized it is absolutely horrible too. I certainly hope the Nat'l Fixed League lets go of EA's abysmal @ss once the contract is over.

I remember getting this game for Christmas along with a brand new ps2. I remember putting so many hours into that game as a kid EA is the king of ruining great franchises

I remember playing Madden 07 on Wii, was flipping amazing, the throwing mechanic was awesome at that time, throwing bullet passes into tight Windows, or lobs on fade routes, using the wiimote was a game changer.

Madden 04-08 was the best and the Golden years of Madden games ever

FACT! Me & old school homies say this all the time bout Madden 2003-2008'ish.. The only problem is the rosters got worse as the years went on.. I guess the closer to 2000 the better the rosters imo anyways... But i still know & claim em all..After Ultimate Team it went to total shite! **Sad how many parasite sheople are so loyal to the current anti gamer madden.

@@CT-nb5lm I hate the newer Madden games nowadays. EA has gotten lazier and lazier making each Madden game making a profit off Ultimate Team. That's one of the reason why I prefer playing old Madden games

For some reason, I read the title as “ Madden 07 Soundtrack was a masterpiece” , which is why I clicked on it. I’m glad I did because besides being great on its own it led me to the Sarasota Seamen series, which was hilarious . Good work all around .

What I love to do in these old Maddens is create an entire league of created teams and run them in franchise mode. It adds so much replayability. Anybody do that?

I did it too, madden 08. All cupcakes too so all the lowly free agents became beasts. But after a few seasons it would lag and crash on me. I think I’m gonna try it again soon however

I feel like Madden in the Golden age was really fun and the game developers knew what they were doing back then I think my favorite man in my opinion is Madden 09 in the PS 2 or psp

Had tons of fun playing franchise mode in all madden difficulty. I was in 7th grade at the time. Such a good game. Didn’t know it was so amazing for its time, so I took it for granted
