    I'm 47 and got back into it a bit over a year ago. Hadn't touched Bmx in 30 years!! I've been bitten by the bug now. Love it as much as I did as a kid. I got me two Sundays and a We The People bike. These modern bikes are light years ahead of what we rode. For those that say "I'm too old", I call B.S. I'm almost 50. Get out there and discover the fountain of youth!

    Love to hear this! Age is just a number. Yes modern bikes have come a long way, and Sunday and WTP are among the best.

    I'm 39 coming back. I didn't do many tricks, but I lived on my Dyno Air in the 90's. I'm 5'8-5'9, but I have a shit back with one spinal fusion already. I'm waiting on my Fit str 20.5 from you guys (should be here tomorrow. I figured I didn't want too far of a reach since that kills me. Hopefully it doesn't feel cramped.

    Nice! I think you'll be fine and you can always get a longer reach stem and/or bigger bars if need be.

    @@danscompvideos Thanks for the stem idea. Hadn't thought of that. I recieved/built/tuned my son's 18" Tiro yesterday. Can't wait to get mine. Gotta get into shape. Now that my son has expressed an interest in bmx and I've been wanting another for a while now, I dove in head first. Idk of a better way for us to bond and work out at the same time.

    Put air in your tires!! Always see new riders at the sk8 park that don't have enough tire pressure. Also be observant to how people are riding the park and then ride harmoniously so you dont get killed

  • @danscompvideos

    Low tire pressure is definitely a thing for some riders. There is a point, though, where you end up beating the heck out of your rims, haha.

    Honestly, I rode brakes forever, until I started learning x-rides, in which (I know it’s an x ride but) my brake lines were getting tangled, then I went brakeless (keep in mind I had been riding for like a year).

  • @danscompvideos

    @danscompvideos

    Personal preference, but it's fun. Brakeless really pushes you to progress because there's no safety net, in a sense, with taping your brake to slow down at something. Definitely not recommended for new riders, though, who are still learning fundamentals and bike control.
