Hi there. Great video. I have just recently found the royal navy coin in my change. What makes it really quite unusual is , around the outer edge of the coin it should say - The Sure Shield of Britain - But my coin has 2 miss struck letter E 's both The & sure have only partial print ,but the word shield the letter E is perfectly struck. I do have very good photos to show what I am talking about. Do you know if this would effect the value of the coin. Also its in very good condition. I would be happy to forward the photos to you for reviewing. Thanks in advance. :-) .

Love the plastic numbers appearing out from the coins. Reminds me of Jaws. I metal detect in UK. I have always put aside the odd £2 and 50p here and there. But only noticed very recently that the Commonwealth England £2 I have is actually a N Ireland coin. 😊.

Get in! I did the same thing!

Check out the Hercules £2 coins. Think a full set of 12 is currently on eBay for £7000 lol. Also they have just released 2 new IOMTT £2 coins there is only 3000 of each coin so should be worth an absolute bomb in future.

I apologize I hit the wrong thumb by accident and disliked the video, then changed it once I noticed to liked . Sorry about that was watching late at night 00:56🙈 and more tired than I thought. Off to bed now but great video 🙂 and my apologies for messing up . Fixed it .

I have one NI CWG and 2 lots of the third place coins found them all in change from local supermarket. 😋😋😋😋 NI coin is most valuable one I have.

2007 saw two designs.... there is ajigsaw design and one with '1807' on it. But neither rare tbh

Depends which year/design you have.... To get an idea of their value, I’d post some images to some U.K. coin groups on Facebook... people will tell you and often make offers!!

Ebay.... They have different size windows on them for different size coins. I'm hoping to get a video together soon explaining which sizes to buy that fit certain coins best.

I started collecting coins last week because I checked my purse whilst checking out a post on facebook and found I had the Wales Commonwealth £2 coin

That’s awesome!! If you check out my £1 coin personal collection video, you will see the folder sleeves I have to put those little packets into. You find the same people selling the flaps also sell the folder sleeves.... well worth it for a nice folder presentation 👍🏻

Hey Andrew! Just over 8 million of these minted (8,190,000 to be exact) not rare at all as far as £2 coins go..... Pretty much worth face value, if you were very lucky, you might get just over, but would lose a lot on ebay fees and paypal fees and probably make a loss.

I have two Florence Nightingale coins and one sold on eBay for 34£

Great question...I have held on to some things for way too long and now they are almost worth face value, but with the £2 coins, the mintage is really low on the CWG ones that they might even go up?!

Leeboy Charming then is no bubble more people want them less and less in circulation I have three complete sets including Kew Gardens I have sold all other coins and stopped searching to many yt people going through huge amounts of coins from the bank and taking all the coins for profit and yt adds so I gave up waste of time continuing as you now have to buy them now and were is the fun in that.

seems that you've got a dud, 2 pound coins were only introduces of june 15th 1998, minted in 1997

If you're talking about rarest £2 coins in circulation then the IOM Hercules set, youth games the toshi cat, or HMS Belfast 4th portrait would all be scarcer than these.

Keep hold of it! It's not worth too much, but a nice one for the collection!

I have a full set of £2 coins plus a few of the all gold ones and i also have a full set of olympic 50ps and full set of the other 50ps including 2 kew gardens all coins are mint or near mint.

wow, is brittania that rare? it gets into my hands so often.. as well as ww1 battleship, just got two of them last week - desided to keep them just due to perfect condition, as i don't save the copies :) i work at the till in one bakery, having a nice chance to meet them. so i've got like 3 of n.ireland, but none of the wales or shakespear's comedy.. funny, huh? though the rarest ones i owe are '98 guernsey and same year's bailiwick of jersey. now my wildest dream is to meet a coin from isle of man.. at least one of their mint!

Where is the rarest coin of all, the 1989 Tricentenary of the Bill of Rights. Scotland had their own special £2 coin, to celebrate the Tricentenary of the CLAIM of rights. This £2 coin is quite a bit rarer than the 2002 Irish Commonwealth games coin, with only 389,000 minted in llantrisant. That's nearly 110,000 less than the Irish Commonwealth Coin.

Because that is the value of circulated coins, no matter what condition (as long as they have not been run over by cars). If they are brilliant uncirculated in their original royal mint packs they are worth more. Check coin groups on Facebook, the prices for circulated coins like the ones in the video are correct.

Absolute coins is correct. A quick check on ebay will show BUNC Commonwealth coins selling for more than these prices. Also, most Kew Gardens that sell on ebay are in similiar condition to these, but that doesn't stop people paying over £100 for them.
