Some of these guys were around before a signature instrument was a thing. Aria wasn't really known for making high end stuff as a mid tier Japanese manufacturer like Fernandes. To my knowledge Cliff was using them just before he died. He used his Rics more often. With the Thundercat you at least get additional features (semi?)hollow, 6 strings, 3 pickups. Interesting that they used EMG HZs which are both underrated and shouldn't add that much to the instrument cost. I think if you're going to pay a lot for a bass, it should have stuff on it most basses don't have, like Billy Sheehan's Yamahas with their dual outputs and unconventional pickups.

Anthony Jackson's signature Fodera Presentation II costs over 30k. And the funniest part about it is it doesn't have any controls on the bass, you just get a single pickup with a XLR jack. While Thundercat's model is expensive, it has fully active electronics and a Roland MIDI pickup built-in. You also didn't include Michael Manring's Zon Hyperbass, which costs around 7 grand.
I never knew Thin Lizzy was that popular
Now do one on signature amps
You've officially replaced the "bass" in brain with "behs".
Le Herman Lee: breaks a 25000$ guitar
There is a second hand Gibson SG bass in my local music shop, should I get it?

Status does sell the fancy versions of Mark King's tho, and I’m pretty sure those go way above 10k
Emptier than a bankers heart Classic
I‘m so happy that I own an original Aria Black‘n Gold from 82… Plays like a dream

can you recreate the swans bass tone
I believe Les Claypool's behs costs around $10k. Understandable, given the fact that it's 100% handmade
I'm not sure what the Buzzard bass runs for these days, but John Entwistle had it made completely out of carbon fiber after he left Warwick.
The Steve DiGiorgio 5 string fretless is colossal. Appx £1500
I would buy a Danny 4foot4 signature behs guitar
The only reason Thundercat's bass is so pricey is that nobody else makes a hollowbody six string. Eastwood could do a similar but not infringing one for 1500 and sell plenty.
The BG4, Billy Gould from Faith No More, has a signature bass from Zon Guitars. Street price for the BG4 is $3599.00. This includes a gig bag.
The spam emails though 🤣
Have you done a most expensive behs yet?
Anthony jackson presentation signature is 35.200$. Might want to redo the list a bit... The bit about Scott's emails was hilarious!
I used to have a ‘78 Stingray just like that. Cost me £695!
I want my own signature strat, maybe I'll make one
Hey now Cliff Williams didn't only play roots. He'd play the fith if he was feeling adventurous.
Janek Gwizdala’s bass is up there for sure! $8-9k I think.
You forgot the Antony Jackson, Victor wooten Fodera, Stanley Clarke, Mark King Alembic
Worth for Phil Lynott. Love him ❤
