Lol...its so fucking funny to see.

  • @mikehawk287

    @mikehawk287

    3 жыл бұрын

    @lldkll if you brake late you'll have to slow down below the minimum speed for that corner, that happens to me a lot, for example the Aremberg corner in Nürburgring, normally you are driving around 200-240km/h, once you approach it, you have to brake until you reach 100km/h, the minimum speed for most production cars in that corner. But, if you brake late, you'll have to keep braking untill you slow down around 60km/h, or else you'll get off track, while other racers come out of the corner at 100 km/h and they gain speed faster. That's why braking late is bad. If you brake late and everything seems cool, that doesn't mean you are braking late, that either means the other cars are bots designed to brake early so that you can overtake them, or are new players who just brake early. So you aren't braking late, you are braking just in time. So next time try braking late while driving behind a pro who also happened to brake "late" or maybe try braking late while driving alone in time trial.

    To be fair, the #1 mistake is kind of a good one to make, even the F1 drivers, who are known to be really skilled and technical, aren't afraid to try and explore the limits of their cars on any circuit they race, even if that means going to the grass sometimes. But hey, there's a reason why practice sesions exists, so that you can almost freely drive around and make any mistake before the race, and then have the perfect race without errors. PD: i said "almost" earlier because in real life, trying to go way over your own, or your car limits, not only will cause an accident, but also put your life and others as well in danger, so try to keep the reckless driving in just sim-racing xD

  • @sainesanalsa3324

    You're the master! Master Yoda! Very informative video. I mean I learned most of the racing skills against the AI (I don't do online racing) by observing the opponents (AI and real racing). But when I was learning to play racing Sim like GT sport, I decided 1st learn how to drive a car (GT sport) and it became difficult to learn/practice all the fundamental skills like acceleration, braking, turning, maintaining corner, defending, attacking, all of them simultaneously when car is in motion with (AI race) or without (time trial) the opponents when I am new. Especially when I am driven to win or passionate to play the game.

    The main thing is u have to understand about Shift games to get better is that there is no grip after C class. That means u have no grip just like the other cars do. U can use this knowledge along with understanding that its an arcade. Which will let u smash thru the corners really fast at still a reasonable speed

    My main mistake is that Im very occasional driver. Might not touch the wheel for days, just in case i got tired at work and driving car IRL on the way home. In that way I tend to quickly forget the tracks, especially if I play them on different games. But after about 30 mins by the wheel I feel comfortable doing some hotlap in a retro openwheeler :D

    note: you losen the brake at 7:13 way before the turn in point. That causes your off track even without a higher speed after slipstream ^^ But I am grateful for your summary for clean racing, especially the pit exit line. It annoys me so much with other people.

    The only mistakes I made are most of them (including the late braking and sometimes not respecting the opponent’s space), the one I made the most is the wrong setup, mostly because idk how to setup the car correctly, so I leave it on default setup

    #4 is way too common for me especially when I'm side by side with another opponent. The best thing for me is to back off and let them lead into the corner and just wait. I;m trying to stop dive-bombing into corners even with A.I. and breaking that habit of late braking at some corners now *shrugs*

    Since I mostly play PC2, something I knowingly do wrong is not use enough of the kurbs. Those suckers really get you in that game so I have to have a slightly wider apex and not as much runoff as I would any other time.

    When I first started sim racing, I could relate to all of them besides, the disrespecting peoples space. Now, I can only relate to number 3. As you race more and more, it gives you more time to experiment and improve racecraft. Which is what I have done. Now, i just have to work on improving my speed, which everyone does all the time. Lewis Hamilton, max verstappen, Charles Leclerc etc.

    One of my personnal demons is using the same break point on inside line than on outside line (in duel), which obviously means braking too late and crossing the whole turn from in to out, usually taking the outside car with me for a ride in the grass. (hopefully I haven't came into online racing yet, I'm doing this on AI)

    7:52 on the contrary, dive bombing and slamming the door on your opponent is completely fine as long as you don't rear-end, t-bone, or in any way punt them off the track. Some contact is acceptable especially in touring cars, prototypes, GTs, and stock cars.

    Hey bro. i've been racing sim games since i was 11 years old. Right now, I'm 19. Anyways, whenever I race, be at sim or carting, i always tend to figure out a line that no one knows or tend to use and i somehow manage to take advantage of the situation and make it beneficial for me, even though some say its impossible to pull it off and that only real pros can actually do it time and time again and everyone keeps asking me how i do it even though, honestly i don't really know what I did in the first place! So my question to you is: Is it really a good thing or a bad thing that i can somehow manage to find a line that no one has ever thought of using except for the pros even though I'm actually a rookie and I actually am able to pull it off no matter the situation?
