I unfortunately impulse bought two geckos from petco and all the things for them, I have researched alot about leopard geckos and bearded dragons so I figured with the info from the lady at petco I would figure it out with some more KZread researched l. I've listened to you since I've gotten them and I'm so upset/mad bcuz she did nothing but lie to me and I've got the worst set up for them! And I paid close to 400$ for everything and now realizing I bought all the wrong stuff 🙃 and now have to buy different. And she says she has one too so I'm very scared for the one she owns.

Unfortunately the people working at these stores don’t always know what they’re doing and give the wrong info. It’s good you saw whatever was incorrect and are attempting to fix it though!

My crestie is a rescue, his/her feet goes from being really sticky to not sticky at all. Has appropriate uvb and humidity it's bugging me I'm trying to save them. Also I've seen on here that if there end of spine is thin towards the end is this true? My little one is 6months+ not sure 100% and has a little thinning towards spine not major more thin right next to the tail maybe 2 cm x

Before they shed/during a shed sometimes their feet get a little less sticky I’ve noticed. Maybe it’s something like that. And I would say that’s relatively normal from what I’ve seen. Some skinnier crested geckos have that for sure

My gecko is also a dalmation morph!

@@NaughtyOtty Nope. They take time to adjust to their new home. My advice is leave them alone for 2 weeks other than quickly changing out food, misting or filling up the water dish

Is a led light ok durring the day for a bioactive enclousure?

That would be the perfect option for a planted/bioactive enclosure! Since they don’t give off heat it’s perfect! I have a care guide coming out Thursday so stay tuned!

last night my crested geckos enclosure was between 72-74, now it says it’s a little over 90 degrees and Fahrenheit is around 63-70 degrees. I turned off his light and turned my ceiling fan on low and it still won’t go down i’m not sure if it is giving me false readings, it’s a circled reptile thermometer/hygrometer. It’s kinda of cold in here but i’ve tried making the temp. go down im not sure what to do. Any suggestions?

You ideally want their tank around 72-75 degrees Fahrenheit. 63 is definitely too low. If you’re in a basement or your house temp can’t keep the tank at these temps I’d recommend a heat source like a smaller ceramic heat emitter just to raise your tank a little. Ideally you could just move the tank to a room in the house that has these temps like an upstairs or attic to avoid adding heat at all. But you’d have to do research as to what is the best heat source for whatever tank you have. Cresties can dry out easy with heat so make sure you aren’t adding too much! Just enough to make the tank between 72-75 degrees

Other than adding a window air conditioner or something like that, I really don’t think so. I would try to move the tank to a lower level in the house if you’re finding that you can’t keep it at a lower temp!
