Maybe, but I started doing more straight arm exercises and my biceps grew a lot more than just curls in much less time. But well, depends on a lot of factors.

@@callmesupreme1533 Planche lean, straight arm raises, some ring specific workouts. It does make sense to train biceps in a straight arm way because you are putting stress on then while elongated, which promotes growth. You combine that with a couple. of curls ( and not huuuuuge ammount of curls, like I used to), and you've got stress in bith peak contraction and elongated poisitons. It also does make sens eto do it if you are into calisthenics

@@miquebts the bicep in this exercise is a stabilizer not a main mover. While the muscles is worked it is unlikely it's enough to stimulate hypertrophy. Gymnasts have big biceps because they do a lot pul pulling movements on the rings and the bar not because of place and other straight arm work.

@@miquebts Due to a lack of mobility and base strength. They don’t just jump into these exercises and movements, it takes months and sometimes years before they even attempt some of these moves and when they do, they train with or around professionals who walk them through it so they don’t get hurt. You could also tear your bicep while performing a deadlift, but that’s usually due to poor form. Does that mean you should never deadlift? No. If you load up a bar or dumbbell that’s too heavy and start curling it, you could tear your bicep. Common theme: don’t push yourself too hard, work on your technique first, and you won’t get hurt.

It's tru, bicep is made up of 2 muscle and the bronchiolitis stretches to the forearm.. And straight up exercises can increase bicep size and tension if done correctly, but this is usually for advanced, so mastering the basics like push-ups, chin ups, pull ups and Tricep dips will be incredibly helpful
