Just make sure you change fluids oil trans PTU and PTO if it has over 100 do cam phasers chain water pump and rebuild turbos. They're reliable if you take care of them,but reliability is relative to platform,and it is a twin turbo direct injected and AWD car; meaning higher maintenance.

69K miles, I use pure synthetic oil, change every 5K miles, bought a suction pump to change the PTU fluid when it warms up. I will be changing the transmission fluid soon. Thanks for all the advice as I plan on keeping it for quite a while. @@bobbybandz9194

Absolute sleeper of a car. My dad would take off the SHO logo so we could surprise people all the time with the twin turbos

H&R Lowering Springs ... a must.

All you need for your sel flex fuel Taurus K&N intake Roar pedal plug and play..throttle adjuster..plug in power tuner chip..gas mileage gos up runs like a battery out of hell sounds great and overall a nice beast..present gas mileage is 24-30 highway-18-22 city on a V6 ya can’t go wrong ..didn’t want to change the exhaust no issues or problems!!(2014 sel flex fuel)

I have a 2011 Taurus sel fwd* but even with just an exhaust and an intake upgrade and tune its pretty decently quick obviously its not a sho but its still fun for me as a daily and I plan on keeping this car for life and buying a parts Taurus so I can make it awd and maybe turbo one day who knows for now its acceleration about matches a stock sho and im happy with it for now

@@warlord6416 I got the regular fwd interceptor and she’s been a great daily driver for 20k no problems no lights on the dash nothing at 170k I plan on getting a awd TT hopefully within a couple years and give this one to my girl

Just got a 2013 SEL AWD. It's very quick. I mean it does have 288hp so I can't complain. Especially for a 4000lbs car lol

I own one it’s a 2016 and I love it mine has a down pipe and it’s lowered no tune just yet.

For anyone interested in buying one of these boats you need 1.) gearhead tuning power pack/Ortiz power pack 2.) epp/air raid intake 3.) h&r lowering springs/bc racing coils 4.) downpipes 5.) intercooler 6.) corsa exhaust/ somthing tame these cars get raspy These cars always need PTU and RDU fluid changes cause they fail often, then it’s good to go

Yes, I just got me a 2010 and windows are not tinted and that is the 1st for me to do.

I love my 2010 SHO Stock and clean.

Just to clarify, the model shown is a SHO. The other one out that’s out there is an SEL. The latter does not come with a turbo.

I own a 2016 Taurus SHO in blue jeans. Stock w/ tints. Looking to do some mods. Not sure if you've heard of hot pipes but that's definitely my first real upgrade I'm planning

I recently purchased a 2015 SHO with the performance package...the first thing I am doing is adding a cold air intake, then doing the 93 octane tune. Not sure what else to do after that. It is black and has tinted windows 😅

I have 2. Sitting in back seat of the black 2010, tinted windows, 22 inch dub shotcallers exhaust, and ITS PARKED. TQ converter is slippy, motors freshened... HORRIBLE ON GAS watching rn lol

My 2003 honda pilot is on its last limbs :( so I am considering buying a taurus, I just need to save up for a decent one.. :) and then to wrap and mod it,.... lol

EPP charge pipes, XDI-EVO HPFP, DW300 LPFP, XDI injectors, 500cc methanol injection, TurboBay turbos, PPE DPs, 2.5 exhaust, aftermarket intercooler, built engine, trans mods, and most importantly a good tuner. 650awhp, 647awtq. 0-60 3.4 seconds, 11.4 quarter mile. Full weight. Cost 20,000 just for the build, excluding the cost of the car.... So many insane SHOs on here. 802SHO, Autoracing, Ken Kyle Racing. Yes there expensive to take them to the extreme, but you get a well mannered city driver, but can put hellcats in their place all day long.
