I love it when Julia is excited. It’s like she turns happiness up to 11
White Room’s bassline was written by Jack Bruce for the album Wheels of Fire by Cream that came out in 1968. Important for people to know that the 24 Nights version was a later live version. And then for Layla, Carl Radle played the original bass part on the Derek & The Dominos 1970 album, Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs.

The late great Carl Radle
Old Love is just an amazing recreation. Nathan on bass adds exactly what the song needed to bring it up to current times. And that song still has legs to this day. Wonderful job, Julia!
Thank you Thomman's and Julia for being a bright spot in the world right now. 🌞
Have fun on the tour & I'm sure all Cream/Clapton fans will love your bass playing as much as your viewers here do. If I was over there I'd be lining up for tickets 👍
One of my favorite Cream basslines is Badge.
Julia has the best energy, the greatest grins and the sweetest smiles
Congrats Julia! Have a blast on the tour!
Nathan East, the beast. Great as usual, Julia..
Here in South Carolina all dreamy eyed over Julia!! Girl you are as cool as a breeze on a fall morning. Love your style and simplistic manner, keep it coming, much love from SC.
Proud of you Julia, touring with the Big Dogs ❤️❤️❤️ Nathan East is a bad boy, nice video as always and be safe
Sunday breakfast, coffee and new Julia. Enjoy your tour very much, it makes you very happy. We share joy.
Change the world
Thank you Julia! As always with true artists, you make it look (and sound) so easy, but I know there are hundreds of hours of hard work to show for it. Good luck on tour! ❤
Thanks Julia, congrats & very best wishes & fun for the tour ! Back in '96 I was fortunate enough to meet & speak briefly with E.C. backstage at R.A.H. London (from doing some gigs with one of the E.C band members). Mr. Clapton was a perfect gentleman.
Congrats on your tour Julia!!! Have fun!
I wish, I wish, I wish I could be in Germany to see you playing live with this group. Love Eric Clapton and love your playing, Julia.
She's Boss, That Girl!
Congrats Julia! have a nice and fun tour, you are and the band, great musicians.
That was a nice video. I would have put “One Chance” off of Pilgrim as my all favorite Clapton tune bass line. The bass totally dominates the song. Thanks for sharing your talent.
Awesome Julia, thanks, have fun on the Tour!
Happy to see The Cream of Eric Clapton live in Husum.
ohhh do i wish i could see it. Julia you rock those songs . Claptons always been number 1 in my book and you rocked those bass lines keep Rockin
Her smile when she's happy is contagious! I find myself grinning stupidly at the screen. But for good reason! 😊 I met Julia's doppelganger [Shannon] when I was in 6th grade; I had a crush on her throughout school into college but never could tell her how I felt. Last picture I saw of her, she's still SUCH a beautiful woman! So given that, you'll still be a head turner when you hit 50! 😊 A smile like yours still can melt this ol' guy into his socks! ❤ Best of luck on your tour!
Congratulations! I wish I could see the band. You will shine in this instrument-driven music style. If I have to choose just one, I will have to say that Strange Brew is my favorite Clapton/Cream song. I hope to see some video footage.
I'm a big Clapton fan I wish I could come !
oh nice!!! I'd love to see you yall!!! Have a blast!
My favoirite modern Clapton tune is My Father's Eyes.
So so geil!!❤
Number 5!
Great bass playing and tuition aside, I liked the wood panelling so much it's now gracing a section of my living room wall! "Antique pine" if I'm not mistaken.
Enjoy the tour.. My favorite bassline is Forever man.
Beautiful phrasing and a pretty rich sounding deep C
Wonderful tonight can't be left out of any Clapton's set list.
SOUNDS VERY NICE
That tour sounds fantastic! I wish you guys all the best. Will there be any live clips, or if we're lucky, the entire set?
Have a great tour,Julia! You'll smash it! Maybe a bit of Family Man's line as a tribute in I Shot The Sheriff occasionally - that would be classy AND tasteful. Anyway, good luck. Please come tour the UK soon.🥲
Have fun on your tour Julia. Loving your new album. My favorite EC song is Tears in Heaven. The emotions still hit me every time I hear it.
Awesome! ❤
Julia, I love to watch your passion on the bass!
love it
Awesome! Good luck on everything.
Absolutely AWESOME!!! Congrats Julia! Dbl hand waves of great luck, blessings and fun. This will further you reach at inspiring young women ( and men ) who want to be not just in the music world, but all other fields. Can't wait for your stories and music ☺🤗🤩🎵🎸🎶.....Oh and fav song? There are sooooo many, so here are a few, maybe with a couple that wouldn't be on some people's list. Bad Love, Wonderful Tonight, Knocking On Heaven's door ( gotta give some love to the reggae feel) an old standard Autumn Leaves and Tears In Heaven.
Classic Cream and Classic Eric Clapton you got it all Julia wow ❤❤❤
Congrats on the upcoming tour. My favorite Clapton song is "Tears In Heaven". "Change The World" has a great bass line to it.
Would love to see this in the uk
Great video and Congrats on your tour! Wishing you and your band much success! 🎉🎉
I got a chance to see Cream of Clapton here in Virginia, USA last year. What a great show!
Congratulations 🎉....
Ich persönlich fand Duck Dunn den musikalisch passenderen Bassisten. Aber die Konzerte ind den USA 86-88 mit Mark Knopfler als zweiten Gitarristen! Mein liebster Song: Same Old Blues!
Thank you Julia for this new video. I always liked the 461 Ocean Boulevard album, a work of art and the song I Shot The Sheriff is my favorite. When is a tour of Spain? 😎
Tales of Brave Ulysses is another great Cream bassline. Jack Bruce used a Gibson Eb-3 (or maybe an Eb-0) that mudbucker was key to his sound.
awesome!
Congrats for the gig, Julia. Hoch verdient!! LG aus München
Great news Julia! Love it!
your so amazing!
Thank you Julia 🙏
Great songs, wonderful to hear the bass brought so clearly to the fore. Thank you!
Hi Julia!
Good luck on the tour!
Bentornata carissima Julia. Grazie ❤
Excellent. Hope you have a great time. I wish I could see you play live. Your spirit of joy from music is infectious.
That's going to be a great show!
Thank you for this video, Julia! Great to know you love EC's music and that you're on tour with great guys! All the best! Live versions of Tearing Us Apart always have great bass lines. And Nathan East's bass line on Ain't Gonna Stand For It (Reptile album, S.Wonder's cover) is just great and contains the only bass slap solo on Clapton's recordings I think. And from Cream era - yes, Strange Brew and Dance the Night Away. Hello from Moscow, we used to play gigs with great late Pete Brown here back in 2007!😊
Wow the fifth on that Jazz Lakland 5 is destroyer!!
You Actualy played my one of my favorite Eric Clapton songs, altough you played the Derrek and the Dominos rockversion and I like the unpluged blues version of Layla. my other favorite song is of cours tears in heaven
Brutal bass
Uma combinação maravilhosa: um contrabaixo lindo, as músicas de Clapton e a Julia tocando...Perfeito!
Congratulations Julia!!!🎉🎊🥳Super happy for you! I know it will be a smashing success! Any chance you guys make it over to the States? That would be the bomb 💣😎
Thanks Julia for this video ! I'm waiting for your Paris tour ;-) BTW, my preferred Clapton song is Cocaine. Tshuss ! François
I'd like so much to watch you live.. maybe in Austria in July? I usually go to south Tyrol in July (recommended for everyone!) . I like (and play) very much Sunshine of your love by Cream...
On the other side of the world but would definitely love to hear you play live some day
It would be so awesome if you did tab and notation like SBL does. Keep it up. Love your videos
❤
I like Badge and It's in the Way that You Use it.
I'm a big Fan of EC's later work in the 80s and 90s, thanks for featuring somme of these Songs/Live-Versions of older Songs. Please check out some baselines of the Album "Journeyman", i.e. "Pretending". Thnx in advance!
I saw you live in Bad Vilbel, 27th of February and what should I say, you were the best of the band. Great show! Would be interested in your live equipment. You didn't use any effects?
Come to Arizona Also, I hope your worn looking blue bass makes the tour. Such a cool instrument. But the soul is not in the instrument, but in the player.
Julie, enjoy the tour and congrats! How about doing a video on the top five bass songs by Andy Fraser with Free!!!
Great job Julia. And thanks for the pineapple 🍍 🎸
White room ein geiler Song , Julia spielt gerne Reggae
I think an honourable mention should go to the Babyface produced "Change the World" which has such a slick bassline
Run - great choice. That was the first song that came to mind when i saw the video title. Are you playing anywhere near Ventura County, CA?
Bass knows to be so tender
Wooow, sehr sehr sehr....sehr .sehrsehrcool 😂🚀
#DirtyLoops from Sweden. Sick bassist and drummer. #RunAway music video with the #DoubleNeckBass. #PinkStrings.
As a German, I have to say I've never heard of the five places on the tour. Where are you playing Julia? In the village barns of the country? I'll have to start Google Maps now...
You missed out the title of Song 3 - it’s “Old Love” from the “Journeyman” album.
To tell y'all the truth I did like some of Clapton's pre 90s music but I wasn't a fan. I didn't think much of his song writing talent, the amount of cover songs he did or the limits of his soloing. However, I think Tears In Heaven to be his first major composition of any significance. I am a slavish fan of Jimi Hendrix. To my mind, Tears In Heaven is simlar in style to Jimi's Castles Made Of Sand. But the latter is but one of Jimi's vast original repertoire. Eric dug deep down into his soul for Tears In Heaven. Gawd, if I lived in Europe I would physically follow your bass mind wherever you jam.
No events at this time - shows your website link to the tour. Can we see you in Berlin (Germany) ? Btw, when JustMusic is closing I saw a 5-string California bass, but didn't bought - still a 4-string-guy - but this thing is damned light. And one more thing: At the moment I see many vintage MusicMan Guitars & Bass Guitars (5x) at a retailer in Berlin - do you thing 2,500 € is a fair price for a 1980's instrument ?
Burning question - which basses in what tunings are you taking out on the road for the shows?
Hallo Julia, such nach dem Auftritt mit The Cream of Clapton Band , finde aber nur Februar 2025?? Kannst du mir helfen
layla, tears from heaven, after midnight, and It's the way that you use it. Can't just pick one.lol.
I shot the sheriff and Layla, favourites of mine too
No Alibis. 😁🤘🤙
Quando farai un tour in Italia?
Hey, I'd love to hear some fretless-action from U ! Tears in Heaven !
Julia. And chance of showcasing some Duck Dunn
1000% Österreich accent!
Layla, Tears in Heaven...
