    One gotcha that I ran into was the quote was by the max panel capacity and not max inverter capacity. They are not the same, and I was not informed about the difference and why I should understand both. That would affect your pricing comparisons.

    Thank you for sharing, yes that is often time the case, and the industry standard is pricing based on the DC size not the inverter capacity.

    So quick question. If I use 22,710 KWH a year then I need a 22.7KW system? I have a few bids for 20.59KW, 18.45KW and 17.76KW, I am being told that based off of the software and how many of my panels would get direct sunlight that I do not need more panels and they will produce enough to cover the 22,710KWH. is this accurate? Thanks and love the videos. I have learned so much!

    Hey Travis! Can you email me home address? : info@solartimeusa.com I can do a design and see how big of a system is needed. IN Texas to generate 22,700 kWh If facing south you need: 22700/1,500 = 15 kW If Facing west or east ( conservatively) : 22700/1300 = 17 kW But those numbers can be totally off in other states. Especially higher north. I do highly recommend you use PV Watts website, its free and you can put in your address and direction of panels and see what system size will output. What is your response to a home that doesn't necessarily have a great roof for solar panels. My "free" analysis from Google's Project Earth says I don't have a good roof. And, if I can't put enough panels to caver my annual usage, what alternatives do I have?

    Hi Obie, Send me and email with your home address and I can view the google image and tell you. Sometimes its better to go smaller to offset lets say 30-50% of the bills by usuing the most effective areas. All also depends on utility prices in your area. Happy to review for you. 8:23 what to do if you barely bought a house and moved in (not even 1 full month) and didn't get a electric bill yet? what to do than if you want to install solar panels?

  • @solartimeusa

    @solartimeusa

    Жыл бұрын

    Hey Jake! Two options. Is the house new? Has anyone lived there prior? If someone live there prior, you can get the historical usage from the house from the utility company. If none lived there prior, and its a fresh new home, then the company you work with should do some analysis comparing it to other homes with similar size, AC units and amount of people living there. With new new homes I would stay conservative, and get a smaller rather than bigger system. If you want you can respond back with some details of the home and I can help you determine the forecasted usage. Baggest questions: 1. Size of the home? 2. How many floors( 1,2,3) ? 3. Is the heating gas or electric? 4. How many people live in the home? 5. Do adults work from home?

    Hey! Can you tell me a bit more about the home? I can help you determine/ forecast better: 1. Size of home ( sq ft) 2. City and state ( just so I know the sun hours) 3. Electric or Gas heating? ( if electric summer bills will be similar to winter ( both high) if gas heating, spring, fall and winter will be lower by at least 40%. 4. 1 or 2 story home? 5. work from home or no? 6. year house was built! :) You can also email me and I can do more analysis Info@solartimeusa.com Martyna

    I would personally not install it, I would stick with an inverter manufacturer that is in USA or Europe, since their customer service has better track record. Its a big company and a solid product, I would just stick with SMA or Fronius instead.

    Well if y’all sell something for cheapest price and different companies sell something for a bit more or even 1.5x higher doesn’t mean they’re scamming people. It just has got to do more with the skillset and business model. Y’all make money by selling lowest maybe because y’all are into a family business more like a traditional bakery (sell less sell lowest stay satisfied with less) but hustlers who work hardest on field, sell highest PPW and do an ethical sale in my view they deserve to be paid most as we live in the USA 🇺🇸 where it’s an open market and almost for everything prices are inflated the one who plays the right cards 🃏 is the one who makes the most. I don’t like the way you guys are scaring people via KZread to make them go away from solar 😂 honestly. I mean I know you guys are doing a good job but think in this way by considering an example of cars alone like you don’t even find 2 used cars of the same condition, same make and model in the same price range. How do you expect that to be the case with solar? I suggest you should stop using the word “scam” for such simple things as these types of videos only scare customers and kill high achieving salesmen from the market which impacts directly to the American dream and will slow down our country’s growth by shifting our narrative from “great talent will do great” to “everyone should be seen equally”. Would love to see your response on this and May yall have a prosperous year of 2023 ahead.
