I have a Mapex Tornado, I change the Drum Heads and I tune it, I absolute love it, I really recommend that drum kit especially for rock music! ❤️

@@AMJ564 zbts are heavier and I personally like the hi hats and ride of zbts in comparison to hcs's hi hat and ride.

The best electronic drum kits are made by recording a live drummer and using that as a sample rather than using a sound created with a synthesizer. When a beginner practices on an electronic set they are hearing a triggered sound amplified through a speaker or a set of headphones. The beginner is not creating the drum sound. If you are a beginner I would suggest that you only play on an electronic set for fun or because you have sound restrictions in your environment. The best way to learn how to play real drums is to practice on real drums.

Not even a mention of the Sound Percussion Labs Unity kit. I have that one for home practice and I absolutely love it I got the Aquarian sound rings instead of the Moon Gel which does a great job of getting rid of the overtones. Although most of the kits profiled her were electric I prefer acoustic more. Was hoping to me more acoustic kits profiled

Just bought the mapex tornado for converting it to an Electronic kit ain't a beginner though

I actually wouldn’t advise getting the Alesis drum kit. I started on it and two of the pads broke within the first two weeks, we then sent it off to be repaired, and it wasn’t repaired properly.

I am in the process of buying a beginner drum sets for my 12 yrs old son. Your video gave me some idea, but do you have a more recent video? I did not want to buy a drum set that was costly because I'm no sure if my son will continue playing with drums. Do you have any suggestions for other brand name drum sets for beginners?

My dad got me the alesis dm lite for my birthday, I am just missing the pedals for the drums

Now I know my base drum is 22” for the mapex tornado

I gave my son my kit from when I was in high school a Ludwig supraphonic and a Ludwig green sparkle with a 22kick 12tom 18floor and paiste 2002 17 crash 20 crash and 22ride my gosh I got that used for 500 dollars back in the day and know it seems paiste 2002 and Ludwig are very pricey now

Sure. It's great. But you might need to replace the heads, snare wires, or maybe even the whole shell of the snare. Also the cymbals. Other then that it's great, and also learn how to tune decently at the least.

im 13, im not planning on taking this seriously but I really want to play drums, im about 5'4, do you think I could use a jr. one?

brianna is salty I don’t know if you have made up your mind yet but get a full size kit your tall enough and big enough but you will need to spend 400 Pounds to get a decent sounding kit but I would look on ebay because you can find some bangers

You can make any kit sound good with some new heads, cymbals are a different situation

Actually my first kit was a Tornado Metal kit and please if you buy one throw away the included cymbals PLEASE

I would not recommend the Yamaha. My school has that kit and the crash pad shorts out and the pads keeps falling off.

I got a Ludwig Jr kit for $200, and didn't REPLACE jack. I just TWEAKED what it already had. (I reduced, mostly: ditched the adorablefloor tom, the cymbal stands, the reso heads and rims [my goal was to make it as minimal and light and quiet and tight as possible, to play outdoors]. I cable-tied two DRUMSTICKS to the mounted toms, as Cymbal Stands (!) and did add a Dollar Tree Plastic Vase ("cowbell") via cable-ties. It was ugly black so I took GOLD holographic ductape ($1!) and cut it into diamondshapes and afixed on all the shells. I taped the heads a bit too with this cool trippy tape to mute stuff, and my kit sounds INCREDIBLE. I added a couple small cymbals too. I really dislike waste, as well. I never ever break guitar strings, and I never break drumsticks or drumheads! I may be the lightest-touch drummer on earth, b/c i practice outdoors using rods. This video OFFENDED me as well!

For electronic drums, just roland. dont look elsewhere. Even you can buy second hand. Tornado is also good.

I'm thirteen and I have a pearl crystal beat with all zildjian k custom cymbals. I hate that just because your a kid you can't have a big, good kit. It's like kids have to be bad.....
