I drilled the holes in the base plate at 45 mm. The rpm is reduced when using a lathe. I recommend that the guide wall portion of the last jig be a color that does not show dirt.

A true engineer!
Luar biasa karyanya pak saya suka siaran anda dari dulu apalagi mengenai power tool direnofasih
For a lot of hobbyists, the safety rule is "If I can do it 20 times without injury, it's 100.0% safe."
This video convinced me that going to the shop and buying a tool is cheaper.

Even your sacrificial block of wood is super-chill bro!
I am saving all your videos in my playlist and in my heart
Such a clever guy and true craftsman - love to see that!
I had a lot of old pipes and rebar to cut up and from what I read kzread.infoUgkxPDBfLu68o58Aw85O_J-zIFfjJARBhp-3 this would be the tool for the job. Since I had never used one, I watched a couple of youtube videos and I'm so glad I did. Some really good safety tips, which I followed, and this tool did a splendid job. One good thing to know is the weight of the tool puts just about the right amount of pressure on the metal I was cutting, so I didn't have to use a lot of pressure, which is more likely to jam the tool. It made fast work of my job.
What ever you make with those hands of yours turns out brilliant

Very nice excellent idia.👌🏻👌🏻👍🏻
This is not a hack. This is very creative engineering design and execution. The base plate is such a brilliant idea making mounting everything possible.

You're right, this is not a hack. It's a very creative way to get yourself killed. Angle grinders spin at ludicrous speeds. Thousands of people regularly go to the ER every year, because the fibre cutting disk - that is specifically designed to work at those speeds - exploded in their face. Guess what happens, when your jerryrigged contraption with a belt - that is definetely not designed to run that fast - can't handle the insane speeds and forces and just blows up.

Much lower cost? That's a disputable statement. I mean, yeah, if you don't have anything else to do in your life, you can spend a lot of time - Labour, and money to buy the tools, materials and ancillaries to make all these "hacks". But before that, you need to have spent a few hundred hours in a shop to acquire the craftsmanship skills. All these are the definition of false economy, not only because of all the above, but to actually use them when you need them, you need to faff every time unscrewing and adjusting things to get the tool you want. Unless you are the guy who is making these videos, because then you are making money out of them. These ideas most certainly are ingenious and the definition of engineering design, but they are impractical for production which is why you don't see these "hacks" in real workshops.

It is always hard to believe for me in those "hacks" as soon as for making new parts isn't used previous hack. Why for sanding elements for "sliding cutting jig" weren't used a sander from the beginning?

The narrow minded comments reflect that the point is missed. The video was made to show you how, not to save you anything.

this guy is sick!
during world war two the enemy made bullets of bamboo. While the gun shot might not have been fatal the wounded soldiers suffered and died of the infection because the wood broke up into thousands of splinters. NEVER make spinning devices of wood!

This is a really naive approach The guide will be ground as you're cutting what's underneath, and it will get less and less precise each time. But it's not like anyone is going to actually build and use this.

Angle grinders are for grinding. Stop making useless and dangerous things. Go buy a belt sander and a lathe.
Or I just go to the store and buy a belt sander.
The price to do this isnt worth the effort- just but a sander!
it is NEVER a good idea to add homemade devices to a hand grinder
