While i worked as a merchant sailor my ship would occasionally bring me to Japan. I loved walking out of the shipyard into town passing all the shops doing this kind of work at Sasebo Heavy industries. Getting a glimpse of those men working the raw steel and forging it into enormous crankshafts for ships engines was truly inspiring. The intense heat coming off the metal after it was finished being forged blowing out of the doors of the factory was crazy, standing like 30ft away and it felt like a hairdryer blowing on your entire body. I have so much respect for the people in that industry and the astonishing work they do.
What do you guys think of my new intro? :)
I've done a lot of welding in my lifetime, gas, acetylene, argon gas (Heli-arc)but I've never watched steel worked in this way. It's nearly hypnotizing, "eye candy" as your title says. Thanks for sharing this, I'd enjoy seeing more.
Wow, fantastic, could watch all day.
Ok number 1 was awesome!!
The person managing the manipulator arm does a very good job. Very efficient with an economy of motion, no wasted motions.
I always love forging metal and things like that, it's just... beautiful.
Cool intro😎😎😎....love forging!!!...

the guys in running shoes without safety glasses.... like frying bacon naked.
Second last one with the more manual take on the hole punching, the workers are legit!
Nice intro, and some nice steel baking.
Nice work, buddy! Keep it up! I'm Michael, from Anyang Forging Press Company, thank you for introducing our video of the forging hammer. We really appreciate it!
Fascinating!
The size of those billets. No wonder they don't need a second heat to get so much work done.
Number one was incredible
