HYPNOTIC Video Forging Factory Steel Hydraulic Pneumatic Hammer Mega Machine Steelworks
Awesome and hypnotic video filmed inside an impressive forgery using a massive pneumatic Hammer. Forging, Ring Rolling, Open-Die Forging, Hammer Forging, CNC. Videos from USA, China, Germany and other countries. Watch!
Forging is a manufacturing process involving the shaping of metal using localized compressive forces. The blows are delivered with a hammer (often a power hammer) or a die. Forging is often classified according to the temperature at which it is performed: cold forging (a type of cold working), warm forging, or hot forging (a type of hot working). For the latter two, the metal is heated, usually in a forge. Forged parts can range in weight from less than a kilogram to hundreds of metric tons.
Casting is a manufacturing process in which a liquid material is usually poured into a mold, which contains a hollow cavity of the desired shape, and then allowed to solidify. The solidified part is also known as a casting, which is ejected or broken out of the mold to complete the process. Casting materials are usually metals or various cold setting materials that cure after mixing two or more components together; examples are epoxy, concrete, plaster and clay. Casting is most often used for making complex shapes that would be otherwise difficult or uneconomical to make by other methods.
Steel casting is a specialized form of casting involving various types of steel. Steel castings are used when cast irons cannot deliver enough strength or shock resistance.

It´s so satisfying seeing hot metal just being smashed and hammered down in size and into different forms and shapes. Like this 7:55 so satisfying!
Very skilled and brutal work. Yes some of the scenes show a frightening lack of safety gear, particularly eye protection. As the safety posters say, "You are down to your last pair of eyes, protect them" Thanks for the video, I enjoyed seeing human ingenuity.

Eye protection is something you don't see very often outside of Western countries. As a chemistry student in Russia, I can say that we are used to splashing hot alkaline salutions. We only have two pairs of goggles across four labs.

Kirby how can you assume this in our world? Ship-brakers in Bangladesh do one of the most frightening jobs but they get paid an average of 3 dollars a day, while the business owners play with hundreds of millions. My bet is those workers in the video get at best just an acceptable salary

The thing i love about computers and machinery is the rhythm they have, its like visual music. Its even audible 28 secs in :). However, the safety with industrial factory machinery is questionable

Unfortunately the safety regulations probably are not enforced like so in other countries. That is the only thing I can see. You at very minimal need eye protection, but I really can't see much stopping molten metal and a 3 ton mallet dropping from the ceiling..

They need ear protection too. Painful to see them working so close to these ear-splitting noises--I can only assume they already have hearing damage so it's not as uncomfortable for them.

8:04 I wonder how that big hammer (which moves up and down) made ?
@miketausig4205
ankushzap its a pneumatic hammer, sometimes called hammer press. In this case, because of its size, it’s likely powered on steam. Construction isn’t difficult. The actual “hammer” is made from softer tool steal (eg > 1% carbon, or other alloy agent) so that it’s grain structures don’t become brittle. The rest of it is standard. If you noticed, there is a lever which when pulled, releases the pneumatics and the steal drops. Depending on how far the operator pulls the lever (and sometimes how fast) will determine how much weight (ie velocity) the punch drops with.

Matthew Shoebrooks shoebrooks yup...and a lot of it. I’m used to blacksmith mill scale, but the the industrial size of the force must produce MASSIVE amounts in order to get the metal heated consistently.
