Traveler86 Love Right! Surprisingly my hair has been in better condition since I’ve stopped DCing so much. I just make sure I’m using a good conditioner.
I’ve been watching them for so long these don’ts, do not apply to me because I’ve been taught to know better. 😌

Literally the reason i started deep conditioning overnight consistently was because of you guys! lol And yes I gotta put on 2 "plastic caps" aka grocery bags and then a beanie and then I go to sleep!

Be careful with doing this! Keeping your hair wet for hours and hours overnight is the number one way to cause hygral fatigue (or moisture overload) as your cuticles are swollen and open for long long periods of time, which eventually leads to the protein bonds in your hair breaking down. So it’s actually not healthy for your hair in the long run or continuously :)
@zzzCUPcake123

Grace Agreed! Experience this and took forever to recover
@OzariaGrace

Mirta Craft that’s true the balance is so important! But after a certain amount of time your hair would have absorbed all it can, that’s why directions normally tell you how long to leave it on for as adding extra hours isn’t necessary. If it hasn’t penetrated into your hair after the suggested time then the formula isn’t for your hair.
@OzariaGrace

zzzCUPcake 123 yeah it’s just as bad as protein overload :(

I had to stop playing in my hair. LOL! Just leave it alone.
I needed to hear the part about deep conditioning. I don’t do it and I need to start
I dont even look at deep conditioning as optional like its basically a part of routine

I just realized that one of the reasons why my hair is not progressing is because I don't use a deep conditioner or hair masque though I do deep condition, but I deep condition using a conditioner and not a deep conditioner. I do everything else and that one thing is preventing hair growth and retention. Thank you soooo much for the video. You girls look amazing as always. Keep up the good work.🤗
I’m a lazy natural but I’m working on the weekly maintenance 🥴. Thanks for the tips!! ♥️
I love sleeping with a satin pillow case. Tj max and marshals has satin pillow cases for a decent price.

I bought it from them a long time ago, so I don’t remember the exact price but I do remember them being a decent price and not too expensive. When I bought them the packaging said satin pillow cases. I didn’t read the inside tags of the pillow cases to see what the exact materials it’s made out of.
I was just about to skip deep conditioning too 😂 let me go put some in

Y’all look gorgeous 💕 Excellent tips!!
Thanks for the bun and ponytail advice! I wear those styles a lot and forget to loosen my hair tie
These tips are much needed. Thank you for sharing.
Great tips, my hair ins't as long as yalls but I want to start using those scrunchies for when I pull up my mini twists.
Y'all have taught me sooooo much about taking care of my hair, and different products to try...I'm happy I found Y'all channel.......love you both💚💜💚💜
I’ve been doing most of them on my head but I make sure I take care of my daughters hair!
Because of you two I deep condition every week. I will wait patiently for the day you release your own hair line and especially deep conditioner 🤎
Trying to finesse my wash and go routine for the summer. I'll keep trying. Thanks for the tips of course yall hair are gorg as usual!! 😍😍
I get my satin pillow cases from the Dollar Store! 🤣 Them thangs are really cheap!
Yes...I will be getting some silk/satin scrunchies. Thank you. Love you.💛💛
This video was needed thanks Kelsey and Kendra, DB was very helpful, I been using a satin lined cap but I’ll be buying a silk pillowcase, hope all is well ladies.
Thank you ladies I just love you ladies great job ❤️☺️😍
I can always count on my girls for the BEST hair tips 🥰 Thanks for this ❤
This is so helpful!!! I did know about the satin pillowcase I just needed some suggestions on a better ones thanks you guys!!
I'm loving the volume in your hair Kendra!!
"When?" I said it at the same time lol. I do all the "do's". Been natural all my life. I love you ladies...you all get more and more beautiful 😍
This video helped so much 🙌🏽 I noticed a small line of breakage from doing high puffs in the same spot, I’ll definitely try switching the position! Thank you 👏🏽💗🥰
Great don’t do’s video. I don’t do any of these things🙌🏽👏🏽. Thank you so much for linking the scrunches in the description box! I hope you both & your loved ones have been doing well💞.

Thanks for the advice and just got your book as well. ❤📖
Thank you for mentioning the hair ties!! I needed to get these
You ladies look beautiful, curls poppin! 💕💕💕 I always deep condition when I wash my hair. I'm definitely going to purchase a satin pillowcase. Great tips!!! ❤😘
Great tips ladies. I just placed an order for pillowcases and scrunchies😍
Thank you for this ladies, so informative. Please continue coaching and inspiring us! 👑👑
I’ve never slept on a satin/silk pillow case, but that’s about to change now...thank you ladies 🤗
Love the tips ladies! I went Natural because of y'all 10 years ago and been following your routines for years so it definitely works! Thank you!!!
You guys are the OGs of hair for me I remember watching your videos when you guys were still in cos school all your tips I do so I know they work! ✨💖
Love you both. New subscriber!!! Been binge watching your videos. Love both personalities 💕 💓 ❤ from all the way from London
I deep condition overnight but I need to try using heat to penetrate my shafts. Just purchased the scrunches and pillow cases. Thanks for sharing! ❤️
I got lazy and instead of re-purchasing my deep conditioner after running out, I started using a rinse out conditioner instead and there was a noticeable difference in the health of my hair (for the worse). I recently bought some more deep conditioner and I already see huge changes in how shiny and moisturized my hair is. Like my curls are poppin and all I use is cream 🙌🏽
I liked this video very informative. Very helpful tips of what we need to correct for our hair. Thanks for sharing! 😁
Thank you ladies I love y’all
Awesome tips. I've started co-washing more and washing with shampoo a little less, and have noticed a big difference from that as well. And of course, I learned that from y'all too, lol.
Thanks twins, learning a lot from you ❤
I have worn a high bun all week long. Also, out of laziness I keep the bun at night underneath my satin slap. Now, I will switch it up to a low bun and mud bun in one week.Great list!
Hi ladies, I’m taking 📝 Thanks for sharing‼️🤗
Great video! I had to start using oil only for my scalp instead of all over my hair. Most leave-in and stylers have oils in them already & adding extra oil on top dried my hair out. Thank you for the tips again :)
All if my slick pillowcases are from Walmart and I’ve had them for years. No damage from washing.
Love this video! Awesome tips Ladies😍
Gosh. I gotta start doing this for my daughter. Thank you!
Because of you guys deep conditioning has become an IMPORTANT part of my wash routine , I never skip it and I encourage everyone to do it once a week.

Im a true believer that deep conditioning is a life saver !!!
I just started using satin scrunchies. I love them!
This video helped me so much! Thank you!
I so agree with the leaving your hair alone and just letting it do it’s thing. I have a friend who did and her hair grew so long because she left it alone. Thanks ladies for the other tips
I would like to see a weekly hair routine for Kendra !
Kendra’s hair though ♥️♥️
Deep conditioning is something I do not skip!!! That definitely makes a huge difference!!!! But I do have to stop doing tight buns!! Love these tips!
More deep conditioning, utilize satin pillowcase and focus on healthy hair. Thank you for the tips! 🤗💖
Thanks for sharing. Excellent tips.
This video came right on time😊 Stay safe and Stay blessed Ladies👑👑❤️
Thanks for the tips!! I definitely wear my bun up a lot. It’s broken off.
I’ve been doing all of these...because of y’all!
Thank you ladies 💜💚
Kendra! Your hair is growing and looks thicker! 😍
We have many silk bonnets and I brought silk pillow cases from Amazon in different colors. This was really helpful.💯👍🏾Thanks!!!
Y'all hair is so beautiful i can't wait until my hair grows back
Thanks an I agree you ladies curls so healthy looking
Hey ladies I miss your videos. I deep condition weekly. I cover my hair with satin scarf and bonnet. I've learned a lot from u about keeping my curls. Thanks
Y'all were my inspiration on going natural ✨❤️
Great video. I love your book!
Thank you this was very helpful.
Thanks for sharing these tips. So interesting that y’all did this video today because last night I was rewatching your Straight Hair routines from last year (for the millionth time, lol). Y’all inspired me to go natural a few years ago. My last relaxer was October 2016 and I transitioned until March 2018. And haven’t used direct heat since Oct 2017 while still transitioning! Thanks to you ladies, one of the main things that I did from the very beginning was making sure to deep condition every single wash day. I sleep with a satin bonnet or scarf every night but I am going to order some of those pillowcases just to be extra, lol. Btw, y’all look amazing and those curls are POPPIN 😍
Heyyy tall tgank you for your endless knowledge you both help the Elliott family of 7 keep up with these long hair kids 🥰
Thank you for this video!! 🙌🏾
About to get me some silk pillowcases on Amazon. Thanks Kelsey and Kendra Xxx
#1 is why I stopped going to the African hairbraiders. I got some micros and while the lady was braiding she kept yanking on my head and I told her she was braiding that particular spot too tight. When I took the braids out two of them took my hair out down to the scalp. That part of my hair no matter what I do to it now does not grow like the rest of my hair.
COME THROUGH ladies!!! I'm trying to get my curls back popping!!
🤦🏽♀️ I have to definitely do better. I’m going to start back with weekly shampoos and deep conditioning! Thanks ladies 🤗
I was feeling pretty good but I don't use satin scrunchies or pillow case. I do have the bonnet. So, hopping on Amazon now. Thanks for the tip.
You guys are glowing so beautiful 😍
Ok ladies I have had silk pillow cases in and out online carts. Im.pulling the plug. I definitely used to be once and month or once in a while type of deep conditioning type of person, but since watching yoir.videos over the last year I do it twice a.montj and have noticed a huge difference in my daughter and I hair. So thank you for the advice and product recommendations!! Missed yall content. Keep it comming!!!
Definitely here for this, I’m late but here!!! Love the tips. I used to do the ponytails a lot when younger too!!! Now not so much! My hair is more free. And yes yes yes to deep conditioning. I started weekly when I transitioned and now I’m fully natural and celebrating my 3 years at the end of this month! My hair is always moisturized for the most part, unlike at the beginning (transitioning phase and big chop phase), I didn’t understand why my hair was so dry. Natural hair doesn’t have to always be dry, great tips!!! I always sleep in mine! I put my shower cap and put a t shirt over it😅I put my bonnet on as soon as I get home, lol. Bra off, bonnet on! Period! Lol. I use a silk bonnet and a silk pillow case. Just in case! You can get silk pillow cases for $1 at the dollar tree, in black. At SOME dollar trees!!! My mom found them! I purchased my scrunches at Tjmaxx or Marshall’s like 10 for $5.99, all black, satin scrunchies...anywho I do all dis...so I’m on the road to long hair!!! You ladies are hair goals!!!🥰😍😘
Thank you so much for this video... I have violated every last one of these 🥴🥴🥴 but I am going to take steps to be a lot more consistent! Thanks ladies!
#GlamGang!!🙋🏾♀️💜 Thank you for this Beautiful Ladies I appreciate it. 📝✔👍🏾🥰😘
Thank you ladies!!!
Great tips Ladies because I see a lot of edges gone
Their " yeah " rhymes... it's so cute 💖
Adding a little heat to the deep conditioner... game changer! I experience excessive breakage from a versatile sew in & literally after deep conditioning with a little oil added and after two months, my hair had completely filled back in
I am not consistent with my sleep routine. I be tired. Alot on my plate, but def will work on it! I’m obsessed with conditioners and my hair doesn’t like protective styles. Rocking a twa for now. Its easy
