Truly amazing craftsmen and women. I really appreciate the skill and dedication to keeping tradition alive. These people are part artist as well. It is sad that our youth, for the most part, are not following the path of the elders and have not the desire to pass on the old ways. Just viewing this video is a great documentation and way to preserve the old ways. You can really sense the pride and even a part of the makers soul is instilled in their individual craft. Thank you for sharing these masters.

Мне кажется изготовление свечей таким трудоемким способом и устаревшее и бессмысленное. Наносить воск , сушить воск а потом счищать воск и так бесконечно. Это не просто свечи для освещения дома когда отключат свет? Они какие-то особенные?

If you see how they produce like in the year 1850, then you dont have to wonder why everything is that expensive from them. And quality is just slightly better than mass pruduced but 10-times as expensive ... worth it? I guess NO!

Оооочень спорное утверждение - "произведения искусства")). Свечи, у которых такой фитиль и огромное пламя коптят как паровоз! И уж точно такую свечку не зажжешь в квартире. Молоток с латунным набалдашником - произведение искусства???... Он что, с рисунком дамасской стали или резной ручкой из ценных пород? В чем вы увидели "произведение искусства"!? Да у нас в любом цеху на каждом заводе есть медные молотки для соответствующих работ! А подобные шлепанцы из травы у нас из покон веков плели и называются лапти. Так наши еще и покрепче будут. Всё, что можно с натяжкой назвать произведением искусства, так это доска для го. Так и то, главная часть работы механизирована, а ручной труд - нанесение рисунка. В Японии очень много потрясающих ремесел, этим она и славится, но эти примеры далеко не Топ! Или ваше видео примитивный кликбейт (что скорее всего) или у вас плохой вкус. Кликбейт👎
