TOP 30 EXERCISES WITH EZ CURL BAR | ADD THESE TO YOUR HOME WORKOUTS

Some exercises will require lighter plates than others on the curl bar so it's best to have a couple sets of plates to perform all of these exercises.

    How many muscles groups should you work out per day ? For me I do two muscles groups each day as in chest and triceps and move on next day next two with rep and sets is that fine or should be more or just 1.? Appreciate the vid though.! Gotta curl bar and I’m glad I have it now.!

  • @ChrisEdi

    Congrats on the curl bar!💪 Great investment! For your question, It would depend on a few different things like your schedule, ability to recover, diet, how intense you hit each muscle on your training days etc... Generally it's best to hit all muscle groups 2x per week. I find that works out best for me also, 3x week full body workouts also work great and you have room to add in abs and hiit session for cardio. I created a 7 day routine you can follow along to with the curl bar, Here's the link 👉www.chrispecsi.com/ezbar-fullbody-7dayroutine The split goes like this: Monday - Full Body Tuesday - Abs Wednesday - Full Body Thursday - Hiit Friday - Full Body Saturday - Strength & Conditioning (Optional - depends how you feel) Sunday - Rest A split that I had tons of success with is the Modified Push Pull Legs split. I'll link workouts below for that split if you want to try it. I haven't had time to build it into my website yet. Monday - (PUSH) Chest, Shoulders, Triceps - kzread.info/dash/bejne/YqOE0rygnbS9Zto.html Tuesday - (PULL) Back, Biceps, Rear Delts - kzread.info/dash/bejne/gZWXzMRtZK7Zodo.html Wednesday - (LEGS) kzread.info/dash/bejne/g5qcpcOuZdixnM4.html Thursday - REST Friday - (FULL UPPER) - kzread.info/dash/bejne/i2R2t6Wuoc7LhZs.html Saturday - (LEGS) kzread.info/dash/bejne/g5qcpcOuZdixnM4.html Sunday - REST Here's a playlist full of EZ Bar workouts you might enjoy - kzread.info/head/PLSSeiOUGC2NPGkMjnPRkoXca6-dcZ1efh Whichever split you choose, nutrition will be key for muscle growth and overall health, Here's a free nutrition guide 👉 www.chrispecsi.com/nutrition-guidance Thanks for joining in🤝 , if you have any questions hit me up anytime! Hi. I stumbled across your channel whilst looking into Ez Curl bars and i was hoping i could get your opinion on something. I know you probably can't give out medical advice but i was wondering if i could just get your personal take on something. So when i was a teenager, i broke my elbow quite badly. I had to have a pin put in the joint. Anyway I've noticed that if i try and lift something that is very heavy, it feels like it is pulling on the joint, so i have to be wary of that. I'm new to lifting/working out and i was trying to gauge whether it would be best if i got an EZ curl bar or stuck to a set of adjustable dumbbells i have. I read that Ez curl bars take a bit of strain off of the wrists, elbows, etc. Anyway i was wondering if an Ez curl bar would be a better option than the dumbells because with the bar, atleast the good arm so to speak can help a little with taking the weight. Whereas with dumbbells obviously it's an isolated exercise and my arm with the pre existing injury would be taking the full brunt of the weight is an isolated movement. Also a second question if possible (sorry lol) but how much weight do you think you need in your experience to build a decent amount of muscle mass and get relatively lean, provided you have enough reps/sets? Thanks a lot! 🙂

  • @ChrisEdi

    @ChrisEdi

    11 ай бұрын

    Hi Matt, Glad to hear you're getting into working out! It's a lifestyle that will benefit you in so many areas of your life not only your health. Question 1 - I also broke my left arm badly when younger. To this day my left arm is slightly weaker than my right (didn't have pins though) I still do both ez bar and dumbbells. From my personal experience if you stick to only one thing with this type of injury your good side will take over some of the workload, which may help you with pain, but you will gradually create a muscle imbalance that you would need to correct anyways in the future. You said the issue starts if you lift very heavy. I wouldn't lift too heavy, just lift medium heavy or less. You don't need to lift extremely heavy weight to build muscle. There are other ways, do a quick Google search on the 3 mechanisms of hypertrophy and it will give you a better understanding of muscle building. If you do feel pain I would stop with that exercise immediately, you don't want to injure yourself further. Doing some light-medium weight unilateral work with dumbbells may help you out with getting that side stronger while you work with the ez bar. I really can't give you advice on it though because I have no idea how you feel and how you're injury/surgery was. Best thing to do would be to go into a sports physiotherapist so they check you out and see what exercises would be best suited for you. Question 2 - If the weight isn't challenging you with 8-12 reps, raise the weight. For muscle building check that Google search I wrote earlier. This i intensity you train with is going to be very important. 🏆 Use a decent weight, train with high intensity, bringing it close to failure. Not all the way to failure, that will have a negative impact on recovery. Eat enough protein/calories to build the muscle. Sleep well. Recover. Drink enough water throughout the day. Progressively overload the weight overtime as you gain more muscle/get stronger. You will learn a lot over time. Fitness is an ongoing lifelong journey. Enjoy it and have fun crushing it💪🔥 Hope this helps! Wish you all the best with your workouts. 💪

    Yes definitely 👍Unless you're doing a full body workout. I really enjoy the push pull legs split or chest/back on the same day, shoulders/bi/tri same day then legs. Whichever split works best for you. It's generally good to hit each muscle group twice a week but make sure you add in some rest days to recover and grow. How many reps and sets for each exercise pls help.

  • @ChrisEdi

    @ChrisEdi

    2 ай бұрын

    It would depend on many things but generally 2-4 sets is good, usually the last one I like to take close to failure. The first one is with a lighter weight to warm up the muscle. Really depends though. See what works for you. I don't really count the reps anymore I go by feeling the muscle, but somewhere in the range of 8-12 with high intensity works for most people. This video is just showing you what you can do with your ez bar at home, it is not a workout, so please don't think you have to do all the exercises for a workout, first thing would be to figure out what training split you would like to do, Push pull legs, upper/lower, full body...Then you can program the exercises accordingly. I do have some full follow along workouts you can do with your ez bar, these are with timers, you can find them in the ez bar playlist. Thanks for joining in! 💪😊

    Always worth it to add equipment to your arsenal👍 Both ez curl bar and tricep bar are great pieces of equipment to have at home. You can target muscle groups with different angles/grips with each, both are good. It's also fun to change up equipment once in awhile and try new exercises.

    Do these exercises affect muscle building or I have to do for one muscle per day?

  • @ChrisEdi

    @ChrisEdi

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hi Aryan, Yes these exercises will help with muscle building when put into an effective program. Generally its good to hit each muscle group 2x week. Nutrition will be key if you want to build muscle. Make sure you hit your daily protein/calorie targets and also make sure to have some rest days, those are crucial for your muscles to repair. I'm working on putting a 7 day routine you can follow along to. In the meantime check out some of my ez bar workouts on my channel, I think you would enjoy them 👍 Thanks for joining in 🤝 If you ever have questions just let me know.

    Thanks for sharing. Should I be concerned about torque on the wrists when the bar is held at a 90 degree angle for a row? At that position the bar will tend to rotate so the middle convex part faces downward

  • @ChrisEdi

    Glad you liked the video! The only time I've ever had wrist issues is when doing reverse skull crushers with a slightly heavier weight that I should be using, other than that I haven't had issues with the row. Make sure your hand placement is good before lifting the weight to avoid movement of the wrists. Try out different hand placements for the row to see which is ideal for you. Thanks for joining in!

    Good question. Depends on what your goals are. You can build muscle with a wide variety of both. Generally I like between the 6-15 rep range, 2-4 sets, but it really depends what you're training for. If your goal is to build muscle (hypertrophy) Learning about the 3 Mechanisms of hypertrophy will help you greatly. 1. Mechanical Tension 2. Muscle Damage 3. Metabolic Stress In this video I'm just giving you exercise ideas you can add in to your own workouts. I wouldn't do all these exercises in a single workout. Lots of different splits you could follow. There's a full body split and a push/pull/legs split I put together on my website, www.chrispecsi.com/ you can follow along. Upper/Lower split is also great. You could do upper/lower/rest then just repeat that. What really matters is what works best for you and what you would be able to stay consistent with. You could also start doing one type of split then after awhile switch to another one, that usually works well too. Also check out the ez bar playlist on the channel, I'll always add new workouts to that one from time to time. Thanks for joining in! 🤝

    Why not just use dumbbells. Like arent dumbbells far superior? Im not sure what the point if the bar is. Maybe only hip thrusts i think can be good if your loading like 100lb+ but under 100lb using ajustible dumbbells is probably better no?

    Hi, thanks for the feedback. You absolutely have a point. However, some people don’t have dumbbells at home, so this video is made for those who workout at home with an EZ bar. You can, of course, do all these exercises with dumbbells. Some people prefer training with an EZ bar, so this video is helping them choose exercises based on that. Some enjoy do both together. 👍👍🔥

    @@ChrisEdi ah I see. I'm here because I have ajustible dumbbells at home that can be fitted to an ez curl bar. I'm not sure of the ez bar advantage. 🤔 like what em I'm missing , to me it doesn't seem like a tool my dumbbells couldn't already do , if not better. If all you have is an ez bar then yes I see your point as it much more affordable. The ajustible dumbbells were $700 😬 , to me worth it, buy once cry once. Still I'm curious if there's a workout the ez curl bar can do better than a dumbbell, to justify getting one, ez curl bar looks pretty fun to use 😊
