Top 3 Microphones I Use For Voice-Overs

Ғылым және технология

Glad to be sharing with you all the mics I use on a daily basis. They've helped me tremendously over the past 4-5 years of doing this professionally. This is why I'd like to do a giveaway of my Rode NT1 to help someone who may be on their own journey to becoming a Voice-Over Actor.
The Giveaway question: What project was I voicing for on my Aspen colorado vlog? Comment below!

I know I'm late to the party but thank you so much for this video! Your work and talent are some of what is inspiring my interest in me to try voice acting (and singing!) for the first time. I'm still taking classes and learning the very basic fundamentals, but the equipment to use is always a good thing to be educated and mindful of. Your work as KAY/O in VALORANT was my introduction to you and I've been enjoying your streams since then. You're a very kind person with great vibes, and again, I can't thank you enough for how helpful this video is for someone completely brand new to acting + voice work overall. Hope you're having a great day, man. I'm looking to get my hands on a Rode NT1 sometime to start myself out after seeing your thoughts on it.

Great stuff Gabe!! To answer your question- I love the Rode NT5.. Just a great versatile mic if you haven't stepped up to the Sennheiser yet. I have that one as well as the Neaumann TLM .. And yes feels like you're getting a warm hug of vocals on the NM TLM.

I'm using the Synco D2 Shotgun mic cause it had pretty good reviews. I wanted a shotgun cause my space isn't perfect but I'm just starting out and so the 416 is out of the question. I used the 103 at a local music shop and it was glorious. All in due time though :-D You were working on Wanda Vision on your Aspen Vlog.

I'm watching your video right now because I just got offered to narrate my first audiobook! I'm so excited, but nervous! I want to sound super professional. Right now I own a Rode NT1 I use for singing and a Synco D1 shotgun mic I got on a blowout sale for $99. I use the Synco a lot for video. I had some rewards points and also got 10% off on a Stellar X2 which loves my voice and seems to reject background noise quite well in a semi-treated room. For now I'm done with buying mics. When I get settled into a more permanent location I plan to set up a vocal booth at which point the Sennheiser MKH 416 and the Neumann TLM 103 are both in my wish lists on a couple of sites. I'm not doing voice over yet but my voice is similar to yours. Thanks for the video. Glad I discovered your channel.

If I record the same verse on both dynamic mic and condenser mic. After mixing and mastering, what would be the difference between the poetry recorded from both the mics? Will both be of the same quality? Will both have different quality? If the quality of condenser mic will be crisp. So can I make the poetry recorded with dynamic mic sound crisp? like condenser microphone? I am very confused. I have added money in 4 years with a lot of hard work.
