Play the Slav against d4 since it works against almost all variations. It is just as solid and boring as the Caro Kann (which is a good thing). I think Alex plays the Slav so maybe one day he will do a course on it.

Thank you for the whole Caro Kann rating climb series. Yesterday I got my first Pawn Cube. I thought I was going to flag, but once I got the pawn cube I decided that there was no way I was going to lose. I started playing fast, got agressive with the queen battery which he handled incorrectly, took all the pieces and managed a mate in the middle of the board. The game was not even close to flawless... but getting to load a queen battery, successfully use a rook sac, and rally to win because of the inspirational pawn cube will make this one of my most memorable games. This series has been the single most instructive bit of chess content for me since i took it up seriously this fall. Keep it up. PS I would love to see a longer vienna rating climb playlist.

Around 9:35 or so, you used a tempo to chase WHT's Knight to a BETTER position, Just take the pawn. WHT will have no compensation and no center pawns. If you chase his N back to f3 after taking the pawn, then you can exchange knights.

2:44 re 2 e5 .... I know this isn't solid but it is my main line in bullet against the Caro (and almost anything else). There is one critical line if you look at it with the computer where white is struggling.... but it's extremely rare I get an opponent who plays it... and if they do I've probably looked at it more than they have. Most of the time I end up getting some sort enpassant takes and a nice d4 c4 center. I definitely wouldn't play it in longer games though.... which means I need to learn some 'real' openings. : (
