Great tips! Would like to add, yes, you can spin the head around on the Minn Kota Trolling motor to use it as a bow mount trolling motor.

Even with the small jon boats I've had in the past, I preferred the trolling motor in the rear, but we'll see how it goes. Appreciate you watching! 👊

Same I used to run up front but I have changed to the back. I do have my Battery upfront though.

Good motor, i have mine in front. Turning the head is no problem. We have a lot of cypress knuckles in our ponds so up front works good to keep from hitting them. Plus my wife gets to keep fishing 😆

I have same boat. Trolling motor up front 2.6 Coleman motor in back. And get a real depth finder lol. I have a hummingbird helix 5. Wanted a Dakota lithium but they messed me around for two weeks.got the tracker lithium from bass pro. Great boat

I had trolling motor in back and switched it after one day. Didn’t like turning around to steer

Anchor ⚓️ and a paddle in case the trolling motor goes out. Hope you guys have a great time with the boat.

Like the trolling motor up front, you will need to remember to bring in the arm so you don't snap it off when getting up to the bank. i do like the fish finder though, pretty neat.

Good Video. I would recommend some type of floor. The floor as is will hurt your feet after about 20 minutes. I like that fish finder. Might have to try that. Good luck with the PBR. Fish on!

Great info on the batteries particularly the Dakota Powerbox 10. Couldn't the battery be hooked up to the internal wiring to operate the fish finder up front?

Turning the head around is no big deal. I've been doing it to several of my transom mount motors for years. There is a saying about trolling motors, it's easier to pull a chain than to push it. Theory on trolling motors. I'll send you some pics of how I build a portable depth finder. Gives you the ability to up grade your portable depth finder. I'll send pics soon.

Yes rotating Minn kota is fine just always turn in one direction to make it go on front and turn opposite to put on back. If not the wires will twist in the shaft and could get damaged
