I am SHOCKED that you didn’t include Tex Antoine. Tex Antoine was a weatherman in the NYC market and in 1976 came on the air right after a story about a rape. He quipped: “ with rape, so predominant in the news lately, it is well to remember the words of Confucius: if rape is inevitable, lie back and enjoy it” The victim in the rape story was an EIGHT YEAR OLD GIRL.

The person at the console (I forget what they're called), who pushes the button to change the camera back to her, should have given a countdown, 3, 2, 1. That used to be the way it was done in my short stint as a master control operator for a local TV station back in the mid 90's, before computers took over. Surely they have something similar in this "advanced" age of electronics. It sounds to me like the boss screwed up and the anchor lady got fired for it.

Honestly out of all these ppl on this list, I feel the most bad for Natasha Exelby. She made an honest mistake by zoning out. When we watched that part on live tv for the first time, we would’ve just assumed that it was part of the broadcast to add some humor. Instead of just firing her on the spot, they should’ve either rolled with it or pulled her aside afterwards and simply told her not to zone out like that in the future. Maybe that person didn't like her so they just switched the camera back to her without a countdown.

She went live on a news update where she slurred, stumbled, and generally gave the impression of being under the effects of illegal substances. Add to that her hot mike rants about the production staff and it was clear she was going down. Arguably the single most dramatic fall in TV news history. I would have even lowered Paula Abdul's weird behaviors (rumored to be on heroin) to at least the #19 or #20 or even dishonorable mentioned list. PS Cosell was still part of ABC's MLB Baseball Coverage until the end of the 1985 season. Then when he came out with a book criticizing everyone at ABC including his long time Boss Roone Arledge, then he was fired. The Cosell departure at ABC and end of his life considering at 1 point he was among the most famous Sports Commentators on the planet should have at least been TOP 10 IMO.

Agree Bob. WatchMojo does a good jobs with these surveys and lists. However they do make mistakes such as Mr. Williams no longer with NBC/MSNBC. Or not at least as a "dishonorable mention" having say Howard Cosell career and soon after his life ending after a controversial use of the "Monkey" term on a NFL player during the 1983 season.

I'm not at all a Lara Logan fan, however, I feel it remiss not to mention she went through a horrifyingly traumatic experience reporting on the Arab Spring, and I think her inability to work through that trauma in therapy (sometimes therapy just fails--some baggage carries heavier than others) ruined her unbiased perspective, and led her into the far-right. I hope, some day, she heals.

@@bradmcdowell9168 At best he just said what we were all thinking. "This guy is tough, that guy was a coward, the official made a bad call". When he does that cranky old man thing about non-Canadians, only sissies wear face shields, French Canadians suck it's the least of his problems. Hating gays, loving Rob Ford, telling immigrants who fought for Canada what a poppy is was too much. His wife dies and 4 months later he's dating, then marries a woman 25 years younger. He creates Rose's House in 1997 in honor of Rose but it doesn't open for another 7 years, then he loses interest in it 3 years later. He's an old man who never won anything, he's worth 14 million and donates to one animal charity and can't commit to anything important.

He wasn't lying. During Chattel Enslavement, they would purposely sxually assault and impregnate Blck Americans to get better physical traits. It's nothing new either and has been done historically, especially in various other types of Enslavement to get certain looks/features. It is why Blck Americans are genetically predisposed to be bigger, stronger, etc. Now, his and others' jealous racism over it definitely stems from the freedom of those formerly enslaved and the end of Reconstruction, thus entering the Blck Codes and Jim Crow. It is why Blck people are hypersexualized and fetishized. You'll not find anybody more obsessed over BBC than a yt male followed pretty evenly with yt women.
