That's exactly what happens between DC and Marvel: Marvel has ripped off A LOT of characters from DC and makes references to DC constantly, whereas DC takes a jab at Marvel only once in a blue moon and has not copied Marvel nearly as much.

I love the crossover episode, it was fun seeing all of the characters interact, especially Lisa and Meg.

I still laugh hysterically at Ralph when Peter and Homer are fighting on the bus in The Simpsons Guy Homer: hey cut it out, there's a kid back there Ralph: hahahaa I'm in danger 🤣🤣🤣

Even if these shows declined in quality over the years, they still hold a special place in my heart

Simpsons for me especially. Family Guy had promise to begin with. I'm not giving up on Futurama, American Dad or even South Park. Those are three adult animated shows I still enjoy. Btw, Futurama is coming back with a new series.

@Joshua Mohlman Exactly, Joshua. I prefer to like shows that the media hardly ever gas on about. Futurama is did something right to be brought back and American Dad is still going!!! South Park is the only one that is actually overrated unlike the other two shows I mentioned I still watch.

The Simpsons was my childhood and always brought something refreshing to the table regarding certain jokes as well as their neverending roster of characters. I hadn't watched The Simpsons in almost ten years. As far as Family Guy is concerned, I still enjoy that show as well. But hey, that crossover might give me a laugh uf and when I watch the whole thing. Oh, yeah, that cutaway with Stewie's Butterfinger gig still cracks me up. 😂😂😂

I love the earlier seasons of The Simpsons because some of those episodes are referenced in The Simpsons Hit & Run. (one of the greatest video games of all time) I love every season of Family Guy.

I grew out of The Simpsons years ago but i will always think of the good times i had with that once funny show. Family Guy is more complicated and insufferable. Only two animated shows by their creators i can still stand to watch are Futurama and American Dad. They're both very underrated.

I like how they made fun of sideshow Bob and barts rivalry when Peter finally defeated the giant chicken.

The audience is always moving from one comedy show to another, you go from The Simpsons to South Park to Family Guy to Rick and Marty, etc. they are rivals but eventually all become crossovers due to the same audience, it’s similar to Mario and Sonic. Eventually we get a Super Smash Bros. with all the characters in it.

Harry didn't voice his characters there neither and I believe his reasoning was he was "busy" which I'm not buying because if people really want to do something they'll make time for it. he just didn't want anything to do with Family Guy. if someone were to ask me which show i would prefer, i’d say the simpsons. yeah i watched family guy more, but i watched the simpsons and enjoyed it a bit more. my favorite episode thus far would have to be “lisa vs. malibu stacy” for its commentary on societal expectations of women in toy dolls and the option to stand over big business and the like. so yeah, family guy, i have seen more, but the simpsons is a show i enjoy more. plus, the simpsons isn’t a machine gun when it comes to jabs against family guy. rather than feeding the troll, the simpsons chose to let the troll starve. and it worked out well, i feel.

Whats funny to me about the "ripoff" accusations, is by the time Family Guy aired, even before the revival, the original launch - The Simpsons were already past their peak. The time period where family guy was finding its feet is the same time period everyone stopped watching the simpsons. 24 odd years later, family guy is still relatively strong (maybe not as good as it used to be, but definitely not unwatchable) and the simpsons has been bad for 20 years. In hindsight, family guy has had much stronger legs than the simpsons
