Yeah, I'm pretty sure there are people who ONLY come on DCUO to start arguments. Thankfully as my characters are high enough level to be doing stuff elsewhere, I don't spend much time in Gotham or Metropolis open worlds anymore, but occasionally (like for seasonal events), i do go back and I always see people just abusing each other in chat. I always see the same names doing it too. Ironically, I never see those same names pop up in any On Duty missions either, so they're not playing anything, just hanging around Metropolis all day shouting abuse. I don't get it lol.

I have this game, I do not pay anything and I can only say that my options are limited. The game abuses microtransactions more than can not. Yes, the game is free and Daybreak has to make a profit, but even free 2 play games like Star Trek Online have microtransactions, but do not abuse them. Even the game's payment currency can be obtained without spending a penny.

@@firstnamelastname3998 WAS amazing. And the game is barely pay to win heavy and microtransactions heavy, cept the past year and so after they introduced the time capsules. You can get TONS of ingame cash for free and being a member gives you a lot of other important perks. I hope you don't count the monthly membership as a microtransaction. :))

In my opinion, the biggest and ugliest sin is capping New/non playing character's text chat to only a few a day. Say a few things, and you can;t chat or emote anymore. No asking for help or explanations.

@Khimera Division Imagine some random dude explain to me a game which I've played for 5 years straight. The time capsules are what makes the game p2w. Still not a heavy p2w but still. Not to mention that you have to give money without any guarantee that you will get anything useful at all. I am down to pay for new content - that's a logic thing to do, but to pay to get feats when you might even not get those feats is redundant. The EA kind of dumb.

what exactly do you win? there is no "win" in the game. there's being a useful member of a group. that's it. there is nothing essential to your progression in the game that you can't get through a bit of effort & some patience. the game is not pay to win. it is pay for shiny stuff. if all you're concerned about is being more super beasty than the guy next to you, or having a badder glowy thing, then you're playing the game wrong. I'm not saying the game is without faults, of course it isn't, but it is absolutely not a pay to win game. for a game to be pay to win you have to pay money to win something. the only "win" in DCUO is finishing relevant content with a group of other players, & you can do that easily enough without paying a single penny.

the only thing you need money for ingame is to repair your gear, & that's easy enough to work around if you're ftp. other than that, there's the broker. & there's nothing that's bought on the broker that will make you a better or stronger player. nothing. having access to money ingame gives you nothing except the ability to buy nice shiny cosmetics, get some farming / crafting done a bit quicker, & hassle free repairs. also, what more is it, exactly, that you think you should be given? as ftp, you already get everything right up to tier 4 or 5 free. you get the seasonal content for free. you get the event versions of the current endgame content for free. every now & then, you get all episodes opened up for free, all episodes, everything, the lot, for free.

You pay for replay badges, which in turn you use to run Content to gain marks. Marks are used to obtain gear. Also using irl money aloows you to buy Lockbox keys which obtain Skill Points. Any more questions?

After level 30 there is Tier 1, 2 and 3. You can play those for free. But once you reach Tier 4, you will have to buy membership OR the episode to continue.

Mods are no longer in the game, you should do a updated video like this for 2020 bro ;)

With how cash grabby this game is and how premiums are treated I haven't made a video in over a year for DC, havent asked ppl to download it to play with me, because I wouldn't download it and start fresh in 2020 ain't no way in hell. Villain sides dead for lower content and now it's that way for new DLC', have to wait upwards of 10-25 minutes for damage control to pop on USPS around 4pm-8pm that imo is a bad sign.

When I played this I just used the character creation tool to create cool looking characters

I quit when controllers got nerfed. I never liked being a battery, but enjoyed the crowd controlling of enemies. The de buffing abilities should have been given to healers. If I wanted to focus all my abilities at a single target I could have just gone dps on any other class.

I understand your pain. But the sound can vary from speakers to speakers. You are the only one who complained about this after a very long time. My videos are optimized on professional studio monitors now. So I'm pretty the problem is at your end. Try using different earphones or speakers and you might notice the difference. Right now whatever you are using is boosting the music and bass because of which you can't hear vocals properly. I do apologize that you had trouble.

No, Premium is not same as All-Access. All-Access means you will have access to all the DLCs, unlimited cash, extra inventory, bank and broker slots etc etc. While with premium, you don't have any of that.

No, premium is for everyone. So, when you buy something from marketplace using real cash, even if it is just $5 worth, you account will change from Free to Play to Premium.

Electricity, water, celestial, nature and sorcery. If you want the highest dps go with earth, rage, or electricity. They are the top dps powers out there

I´m missing two answers: #1 - RENOWN: When do I get Renown-Points by Olympus, Earth3, Atlantis etc.??? Do I just get them by doing elite raids? ... I tried but I got KO instantly even at CR 252 and the raid needs

Hi Michael! I stopped playing DCUO around 1.5 years ago but I will try to answer whatever I can remember correctly. 1) Renown: You get renown by playing Elite raids. Every time you finish the raid, you will get renown. Then repeat to get more renown and to buy Elite gear from the vendors. Please know that Elite raids are "Extra Hard" difficulty, you will probably need 2 healers, 2 trolls, 3 dps and 1 tank or in some cases 2 tanks 2 dps to finish the raid. 2) Loot Locked: Every time you play an instance, as soon as you kill the boss, you get the loot. That means you will be loot locked now since you already got the loot from that certain boss. So, lets say a raid has 3 bosses, you kill the first one and then u log out. Next time you will play it, you will be loot locked from first boss but you will still get loot from other two bosses. Also, as I mentioned in the video, Solos, Duos and alerts are reset daily. Means if you get loot locked, next day they will be unlocked again. While raids are reset weekly. I believe on Thursdays. Although, you can buy replay badges to unlock the loot locked content and play them again and again to get loot as many times you want (depending on how rich you are ;) haha ) Hope it helps. Don't waste too much money on this game though. Enjoy while it lasts. Happy Gaming. - Eddy

its mabye bc your not on level 30 and also there are tiers 1.2.3 so uhm also you might not have enough source marks if you just got on level 30 you can get the Flash Amour and uh the Steel superman amour i think

Lol well first of all welcome to dcuo. Second, check this video instead, as this one has more info and latest kzread.info/dash/bejne/gaxpudivitqXlKw.html third, each alert, raid, boss fight has different mechanics. You will learn them by playing the game and doing those again and again. So, ignore what they say but be open to learning if someone teaches you anything. Above all, have fun 😁

Basically.. to really play the game. You must be a paying member. Which means that you can do ALL the stuff that was mentioned here. Which sucks if you're not a paying member. Your limited to only certain things. Which sucks.

If you haven't already placed your free armory in your base, go to your base, click on control panel, enter decorations and place your armory. exit control panel. Go to your armory, click on Imprint to save your current build. Then go to basement of your base, there you will find Generator. Click on it and set up your armory shortcuts. You can change the shortcut keys by going to In-game Settings and Keybindings.

I played a bit when DCUO first came out, and only just returned recently. One thing to note with the armory and builds you have imprinted - you cannot sell items associated with a build, so I suggest removing all items and imprinting a "naked" build to your armory, until such time as you have gear you don't want to accidentally sell.

I took advantage of Open Episodes 2016 in November, didn't pay a penny. Got my character up to CR 200. Decided to buy a membership not until 2017 Summer, but honestly you will be tempted to pay more out of pocket just to make cash or get gear from capsules. It's all a marketing scheme for the devs to make us want to spend more money in the game SMH.
