Last House on the Left: Reason to not trust strangers and always be on guard around suspicious people, (Or just run away from them completely) Midsommar: Reason to NEVER break any sacred rules that you know about. Don't Breathe: Reason to not break into someone's house and expect that you can get the best of the owner if you get caught. X: Reason to be perfectly honest about your intentions with someone's private property (Even if said owners don't take it well) Pearl: Reason to not lose your crap completely because you failed your first attempt to attain your dreams and ambitions, much less use them to escape your rotten family life. Late Night with the Devil: Reason to not go too far in your an attempts to attain worldwide fame and attention Friday the 13th: Reason to not neglect any children in your care (Which is how Jason Voorhees originally drowned) Chopping Mall: Reason to not mess around at your workspace after hours. The Intruder: Reason to be careful when buying a new house and being wary of said house's former owner. The Stepfather: Reason to not get murderous and psychotic when your family situation is less than perfect.

Something like Saw did happen...a pizza delivery guy was kidnapped and had a bomb strapped to his neck and told to do stuff to get it disarmed but the kidnapper activated the bomb killing the guy.

He (pizza guy) was instructed to rob a bank, and had a pipe bomb collar on his neck. He was then supposed to do some kinda scavenger hunt to get the key to the collar. Instead the cops cuffed him while awaiting a bomb squad and the collar either was detonated or the timer ran out. Fatal either way. I never really put that together with Saw, but now that I'm reading it here, it is similar enough😮
@ellis7622

@@youtubegamer1780 yeah I know I just don’t really see how the plot of Saw is similar to the bomb collar plot besides involving some kind of kill device that the killer built but that’s such a tenuous link. Is there something else I’m missing?

_The Last House on the Left_ is a great cautionary tale of avoiding contact with those you don’t know. They look nice, but knowing the warning signs can save your life.
No, just no. As a former lift operator/ski instructor that could never happen because we have safeguards to prevent it. First off we won't be moved by someone's just one more run begging, secondly we run the chairs all the way through nearly half a dozen times to make sure no one is on them before shutdown, and lastly once it's turned off the operator at the top skies or boards down the line so they can just make sure it's empty. They pay very close attention so if they hear or see anything out of the ordinary they can alert us. It really isn't just as easy as pressing a button.
@dicksonfranssen

Thank you for that. Yes it's just a movie but we've both worked around big heavy things that can kill you. An avalanche is more likely than handing over the controls to a nit-wit. All bets are off though when the carnival rolls in to a small town, duct tape & sloppy welding don't inspire me much.
How did "Hostel" not make the list or even "The Hitcher???"

Wow, what a great idea for a list! "Funny Games" is such a disturbing film as are most in your video. YIKES!
There is a prologue floating around out there about how Annie Wilkes came to be that very few people have heard of. I recommend checking out the show Castle Rock playing on Hulu. The second season is all about her. It was such a great show but flew way under the radar.
With the title of this video. Maybe I shouldn't joke that I live in the murder victim's house. I live in the last house on the left.

Funny Games is easily the most disturbing movie I have ever watched. I enjoyed both versions and highly recommend it to anyone that wants to be spooked.
In today's hollow society, these movies ring out as cautionary tales that everyone must take more seriously, especially since the local police are hardly anywhere to be found when too many crimes are being committed by opportunistic hoodlums and sociopaths.
I have only been on a ski lift in August. I only visit the ski resort in August. 😊☺️
The Strangers for sure freaked me tf out
I think Creep should be an honorable mention.

The beauty of the first Saw movie is that the whole movie takes place in that one bathroom and the whole concept is so simple yet it's terrifying, and the twist at the end was just incredible! Definitely the best movie in the franchise!

I don't blame anyone for taking matter into their own hands and taking things to the extreme. Bad guys shouldn't get away with all the shit they get away with.
In a similar vein to the "home invasion" movies or Misery, what about Cape Fear? Someone you've wronged in the past (or believes you've wronged them) decides to make your life a living hell, and no matter what you do, they keep coming after you? Happens all the time.

*AUDITION* still can't watch it beginning to end. I've done some pig-like things in my early dating years but never anything that made a woman want to sew me to the carpet & slice me up. *My ideal first date* was a rented VHS, sweat pants & treat her like your best friend. It worked for me and 30 years later it's still working. She's upstairs having a snooze with the cats.

Deliverance. See it. Scary AF and very plausible.
Jaws could've stayed out of this list.. No matter the truth behind it. Jaws was the reason why so many sharks got killed without a reason. Even Spielberg hated what the aftermath of his movie was and wished he never made it.
Jaws did happen. It was adapted from the book, which was inspired by actual shark attacks in New England in the 1910s.
Hostile can actually happen. 😱
The rewind scene should've disqualified Funny Games from this.
How was The Wicker Man not on this List?
The scariest horror thriller movies are the ones with just sick and deranged humans…actually monsters
Audition my favorite
I can't believe Cujo didn't make the list
Eden Lake should definitely deserve to be here
The problem I have with this list is a few of them are the same premises, home invasion. Although 1 of them the homeowner was the one attacking the invaders for self defense. There are other movies that could've been on this list instead.

Most people couldn't stomach that or have even heard of it. Once was enough for me.
Buried starring Ryan Reynolds was a horror movie...at least to me. Literally my worst nightmare and would least like to find myself in.
I think Final Destination could be on this list. While most deaths are outlandish and the premise of having premonitions of death is not realistic, a lot of the deaths could happen.
Red State is so underrated ❤
When Frozen popped up, I was a bit confused why Frozen was a horror movie but it made sense after. Thank gosh Elsa is not a devil in disguise and that Olaf is not a witch.
what about the japanese movie door?
It may not be classified as horror, but I was expecting to see the purge in this list.
No way a real blind man could do the things he does in Don't Breathe.

#15: Interesting list, but I would like to point out that Cupertino is pronounced "coo-per-TEE-no". Rock on! 🤘
The Silence Of The Lambs and Fatal Attraction are thrillers, not horrors.
There have been so many cases where someone has an affair and violent crimes end up happening because of it, so Fatal Attraction hits the nail on the head of why you should never do that. Audition is scary because of how many people there have been who seem sweet and harmless, but are actually sadistic killers many of whom have dismembered their victims. I have a shark book and there is a photo from I think early to mid 1900s of a massive great white where inside the stomach were the bodies of two child and old adult if I remember right, so a great white getting this big and eating humans is possible. And Misery is a perfect example of how dangerous delusional obsessed fans are, Kpop idols really know how scary they can be.
Komodo, Anaconda, Prophecy, piranha and The Ghost and the Darkness can all come true. In fact The Ghost And the Darkness is based on a true story.
