What made me crazy is that he got the prize just two years after he first heard IPhO games at the second year of junior high school. I believe that he will be the top physicist among the world in the future. Also I respect USSR, for its top-level Physics education. It's pretty simple: this competition isn't popular in the US. Personally, I didn't know this thing existed until now.

From 1967 to 1994 , 179 medals were awarded, and from 1995 to 2019, 926 gold medals were awarded.

Its amazing that in stem field Romania and Hungary can go toe to toe with countries at least 15 times their size🤔

One sentence have some of Chinese word character call “漢字＂.both this two country under the ancient China great culture influence.untill now.Japan still use it.but Korea after WW2 one by one replace the Chinese word character.

I'm not surprised with the USSR/ Russia performance as they have a very strong educational system with emphasis on the sciences. To this day, they're still fond of Olympiads, no wonder they're the highest ranking European country on the list.

IIT JEE is more important for Indians then olympiads. No college will give admission if our JEE is not good even if we clear olympiads.

@@akhripasta2670 exactly, even the talented researchers we do have don't even want to stay in the country. And why should they? The government gives such little funding, only a few top universities(like IISc) have genuinely world class facilities, and in general research is neglected.

Why are Indians so bitter? It is a country with so much potentials but its education system is so messed up that it produces people like you. If only most of Indian KZreadrs would just spend their time bettering themselves rather than bashing other countries, India would be in a much better position. If you need to direct your angry at any one, it should be the uk since it looted your country of more than 45 trillion in resources.
