Fun fact about shin Godzilla: although his is 390 feet tall, his powers is to counter everything on its path. Meaning if he's defeat by a bigger Kaiju he could counter it by changing his size and forelimbs.

@@Valandar2 bassically like doomsday in dc, he will adapt to perfectly conter his enemy if not killed. they both can still be permanetly killed if done sufficient damage like with using entrophy on doomsday.

I haven’t seen the classic Godzilla movies (early classics), but the Monsterverse version is inspired by the original. The 2014 - present Godzilla is crazy good

The kaiju Methuselah mentioned in the video, is is shown as Scylla and Methuselah, is instead described as Behemoth.

Biolantte really needs to be in a new Godzilla film. She would be epic in the monsterverse.

Awesome. I'm happy WatchMojo put Ultra Series and Gamera in the mix. We more videos of these, the internet needs them.

I love Kaiju so much, they are part of my interests. My favorites are Axehead, Rhedosaurus and of course the mighty Godzilla or GOJIRA.

I had always hoped there would be a Pacific Rim and Godzilla (Monsterverse) cross over. That basically the aliens access another reality, the Monsterverse and it's their monsters vs ours.

Rathalos shouldn't have been on this list because his size is too small to even be considered Kaiju in my opinion. Plus they left out Mother Legion from Gamera 2: Attack of Legion who's size measures up to 140 meters which is close to 460 feet, now that's big. Oh and Monsterverse Mechagodzilla who is 400 feet tall (even if he is a machine).

Void Ghidorah is technically infinite long the void portals only allow so much out of the portals

Godzilla Earth line have some realy impressive reimaginings of the Godzilla franchise. Like its Gaigan in the book is not an invader but rather a defender against Godzilla before the humans left earth.

There will always be a special place in my heart for Godzilla 2000. Not as big but still my favorite version of her. Also respect to the Rathalos mention

For me, Heisei Godzilla & Legendary Godzilla. Because They're my favorite King of the Monsters who are 100 and 120 meters in height.

Actually, Kaiju refers to strange monster. For a giant strange monster you need the full term of daikaiju.

@@Valandar2 Thank you. There's a lot of this about. I know fish. Japanese ornamental carp are called 'Koi'. This means 'coloured carp'. Except it doesn't, because that should be 'Nishikigoi'. But it doesn't matter, because 'Koi' will do and even the Japanese agree on this. 'Kaiju' will do just fine. If only nitpickers would use their powers for good, and educate or inform, rather than for evil, with their nitpicking, correcting and pulling up.

The bigger they are, the harder they fall.

hi watchmojo, i enjoy your videos, including this one. but a bit correction, perhaps, i don't think "Titan"s should go into "Kaijuu" bracket, simply because, well, the original japanese title said it all. It's Shingeki no "KYOJIN". The "Juu" part of Kaijuu word means beast, so it must be an animal. The "Jin" part of Kyojin means human. So it's not a Kaijuu, it's a Kyojin. and if i remember correctly, in the first episode of ultraman tiga, they called ultramans as Kyojin as well, so i guess that's one example. the closest example would be that I don't suppose europeans would classify the giant in the folklore Jack and the beanstalk as "giant monster" but well, to be safe, ask a real japanese =))

How come Gorgo wasn"t mentioned? He was always one of my favorites. :Pacific Rim was stupid because the Rim Robots caused as much damage as the monsters. I thought Godzilla my favorite monster was 500 ft. tall.

Well, WatchMojo does it again. Godzilla was over 400ft in GvK, but that aside, he was the same height (and massively heavier) than the Colossal Titan who edged him out despite the fact that Godzilla also has a tail that's an additional 300' long (at least) so his LENGTH would be about 700' AND he's much heavier. So zombie anime dude shouldn't have been #7.
