Steven Seagal's glory years were his 1st 10-years starting with the filming of his 1st film 'Above The Law' in 1987. It cost 7 & a half million but made 18 & a half million in return. His second film 'Hard To Kill' did even better with a budget of 11 mil, yet raked in 59 million dollars at the box-office. His 3rd movie does the same...'Marked For Death' cost: 12 million and yields 58 million financially. His contract at Warner Bros. ran out after 1997's 'Fire Down Below'. I don't know whether he was dropped after the film failed to turn profit or a signed decade-long contract had just been fulfilled. Regardless, it is sad, becuase that particular movie is actually a good one. Besides Steve, it also stars Marg Helgenberger, Stephen Lang, Harry Dean Stanton, and Kris Kristofferson. Everybody I know who has seen it likes it alot. My point is Steven made Warner Bros 310 million dollars in profits out the gate. There's no way all those ticket buyer's over the years are gonna agree and say 'yeah it's all BECAUSE of Underseige.'

@@AgentunderfireGee...that accounts for Above The Law, Marked For Death, Hard To Kill, Out For Justice, & Underseige. Might as well get 'Under Siege 2: Dark Territory' too. But what about 'Exit Wounds'? Anthony Anderson and Tom Arnold were hilarious in that one. 'Glimmer Man' was a buddy-cop movie with Steven and Keenan-Ivory Wayans in the same vein. I think his funniest scene in 2008's 'Pistol Whipped' is when he asks a target before he shoots him, 'You wanna be buried or cremated?...' He kills him, throws his body in the back of a hertz, shoots gas-tank, vehicle explodes, then Steven says 'You're cremated now motherf**ker.'😅✨ Also what about that scene in 'Machete' at the end where Steven has a samurai-sword sticking through his chest coming out his bleeding back and calmly asks '...You see this? You think this hurts??...This ain't shit.' The only beef I had with Seagal movies were if they had some type of sci-fi or super-natural element in them. For instance, in 'Out For A Kill' Seagal's opponent mysteriously jumped to the ceiling above him like Spider-Man with no rational explanation. In 'Submerged' they had sailors who were mind-controlled. 'Against The Dark' Steven was battling vampires!! Save yourself the headache from these unless u love Tylenol. I just prefer Steven as a bad ass, a bodyguard, bouncer, military/ CIA, karate instructor, police officer, etc. type roles. Basically, you have to ask yourself, 'Am I gonna watch 'Citizen Kane' the so-called greatest movie of all-time by film critics everywhere, or would i rather watch Steven do some Akido violence upon some deserving heads?

the greatest Australian film ever is MAD MAX 2, followed very close by Crocodile Dundee, then Mad Max, then Crocodile Dundee 2. technically, The Matrix is in top, as that was filmed in Sidney, may have an American cast, directed by Americans, but, shot in Australia, so, it's an Aussie film at heart.
