Wow! These are scarily convincing makeup especially the Pale man which I never saw the movie but that's frightening. You know who should have been on the list? Bill Nighy as Davy Jones. I was saying to my mom while watching one of the sequels how when he turned human as a result of Calypso he was hardly recognizable before as that tentacle monster

My older sister is a lifelong Rocky Horror fan and when I showed her a picture of Tim Curry in 'Legend' she had no idea who it was. Also I could likely pass Doug Bradley on the street and never know he was Pinhead.

I’m a Spfx artist myself. It’s so fun to transform people into something completely different. My colleague and I changed a guy for his family reunion and not even his own mom could recognize him. To us, that is the ultimate compliment.

I'd have to say you missed a few good ones. Ron Pearlman as Hellboy? Tim Curry as Darkness (from Legend)? There are a ton more that are better than what was on this list.

Agree totally with both, and if you liked Ron Pearlman as Hellboy you should check out the old TV series he did "Beauty and the Beast" he was even voted sexiest man as the Beast the makeup was done so well but thats TV, not movies, but both him and Tim Curry unbelievable performances.

margareth michelina 100% agree! First of all I liked what they did to RR voice in the movie and second who in the hell couldn’t tell them apart?

My only suggestion would to be have shown what the actors like like normally, like was done with Heath Ledger and Charlize Theron.

Gary Oldman's chameleon roles are so good and frequent that when I started to see him in less made up roles, I didn't even know who he was. Kudos for his transformation parts: Mason Verger, Dracula, Drexel, and Winston Churchill (there's probably others but can't think of them offhand). I don't count Sid Vicious since it was really only his hair that was changed, but wow he didn't look like himself.

Doug Jones is the most underrated actor ever, I love him so much. He is so talented at bringing to life such fantastical characters. I'm so glad this video gives him some recognition!

Aileen Wuornos role was absolutely amazing- down to every detail.

Tim Curry as Darkness in Legend should've been top 3. He was in prosthetics from head to toe. If it wasnt for his iconic voice he would be completely unrecognizable!

The Elephant Man was an excellent movie. And that was a time when there weren't as many special effects options, too.

A little trivia. A certain Michael Wesrmore worked on the film Mask. He then worked on Star Trek The Next Generation, Star Trek Deep Space Nine and Star Trek Voyager.

Gary Oldman as Churchill in "Darkest Hour" was one of my favorite movies of the past few years. His performance was amazing, proving once again that he was a truly talented man who brought all his talent to bear whenever he was working. I will miss him. Great video, thanks!

Without Tim Curry as Darkness I call this list bs, half of these you could recognize but I didn't know that was Curry until I was like 10 and I grew up on Tim Curry movies and had seen legend about a dozen times by then. Now that is what you call a real transformation. Can't believe Nanny McPhee, Les Grossman, and even Voldemort are on here but not him.

Being a special effects make up artist I often watch films for the make up. I don't know why Nick Dudman's work on the Harry Potter series wasn't more recognised at awards cos they even had the same actor, Warwick Davis, play two roles but with different prosthetics.

I was waiting for Doug to be on this list. One of my favorite actors by far!

Sarah Venable Me either, back when I first saw it. I knew he was in the movie before hand, but the whole time I was watching it, I couldn’t figure out who he was playing, until I watched the credits. Great transformation, unrecognizable.

You forgot a very important makeup transformation - actually TWO. Linda Blair as Regan MacNeil in The Exorcist and the late, great Lon Chaney in The Phantom of the Opera.
