Myrtle Beach is a beautiful beach, but it has a lot of snakes around. I mean, REAL snakes. Maybe it's changed in the last few decades, but the big snakes (non-poisonous I think) that used to bask around in the grasses and the tropical areas of South Carolina was really scary to a kid from California where there are no snakes by the beach at all!

I'm curious to know what part of Myrtle Beach you were at because I've never seen weeds much less a snake. Plenty jellyfish though

This reminds me of the human race. All that we achieved and stared in awe with, are just sand castles that would be swept away like nothing was there. In the end, what we achieved and built are nothing but sand.

Here’s an idea: if you’re going to be discussing places where they speak a language other than English, do a teeny-tiny bit of homework and find out how they pronounce their towns, provinces, islands, etc. This might be of assistance: forvo.com EDIT: In this particular instance, it was the pronunciation of Mallorca that had me cringing, but there have been innumerable mispronunciations on videos before this.

What I want to know is if you put a positive and negative charge in the sand would it harden and turn into stone...? Could we test a so called egyptian method of using concentrated light through a lense to make the sand hard...
