The ultra competitive Austrian Hillclimb Championship and the German Berg-Cup series coincide once a year at the mythic St. Agatha venue, making always for one of the most impressive events of the year with tremendous entrylists. So much so that we could have extended this one for a Top 20 or more, but in the end, between Judd V8 machinery, VW Berg-Cup screamers, 5 Cylinder Audi goodness and more, these were the fastest of the weekend:

Just from the little snippets here, you can see the lines were just better. Props to the Lotus driver tho, that must be a very difficult car to drive

The V8 kadett never quite performs as well as I'd imagine it could but boy does it sound amazing

I just can't get over the fact that Holger's Opel is powered by the old DOHC LT5 designed by Lotus for GM to put in the early 90s Corvette ZR1 LMAO. Getting one of those up to 9500 RPM & makin 805 hp is pretty much unheard of LOL. I'm usually a turbo guy but that thing is straight up awesome.

@@joe125ful If all your worried about is sound your never going to win anything lol. Plus their are plenty of turbo cars that sound great. Turbos take the waste product of your engine and uses it to make more horsepower. And with tech like twin-scroll turbos, rolling anti-lag systems and advanced tuning software turbo lag is a thing of the past.

@@jdmmike7225 Then why most of race cars there have N/A engine?:) Plus its way more lighter,smaller,rev a lot faster,much more better response,better weight position..etc. Example:Just look on 2 end cars there is reason why N/A SLK weight 760Kg and Turbo Audi S-2 1090Kg. Where is that big weight difference then?

@@joe125ful 330kg turbos and intercoler? That's a lot of boost!!! Joke aside. I agree about the sound, I also would want v10 rather than v6 turbo f1's, but turbos are a nobrainer. How many race car classes where you're allowed forced induction with no rule about smaller displacement are choosing NA? I bet it's 0%, or close to it. I hate turbos, they're so efficient that they will always be a smart choice, but they're effectively a silencer on the car.
