    With the exception of the first one (the electric bottle jack) I liked all of them. I didn't design them but I do see where slight modifications could be made to make the unit more user friendly. The biggest idea I had would be to attach some trays to the sides of the creeper to place tools in. Great job in designing and fabricating your items!!!

    Kinda cool if your rocker panels and pinch welds aren't rusty as hell inside where you can't see it till it's too late. Taking a block of wood and cutting a groove in it for the pinch welds will spread the weight out and help prevent folding up your rocker panel.

  • @rolandzoske448
    @rolandzoske4482 жыл бұрын

    I saw a lot of good ideas here. What I like best is the body support for jobs where you have to work long hours in the engine compartment, which is very hard on your back and knees. I would also like to have the rollable stack of tyres. But then it gets critical: The simply welded lever jack, with which you can lift your car as fast as in Formula 1, seemed very unstable to me without a triangular crossbar. This would also need a retractable telescopic lever so that it does not stick out when not in use. The first block for trolley jacks requires a lot of ground clearance for cars, but it wouldn't come under that for sports cars. And the buck that straightens itself up when you drive on it, and the ramp too, look very wobbly and are very unsafe.

    'DIY versions of pre-existing products for when you can't afford them' is more accurate, and as that they're pretty good. There are still safety issues with them though, and there are specific jacking points for a reason. Maybe it's not the same for your Kangoo, but that centre portion is thinner, simply a join between the side and floor panels, whereas the end sections, the jacking points, are reinforced specifically for jacking.

    The ideas are great but the problem i see is that none of the bolts or welding used it's tested to see how much weight they can hold... but very creative after all. 👍👍

    really ? How would you know ? So also to be clear "I hear you or get it" but, the road you turned onto is standard procedure and can say even a legal consideration right ??! Part of End \Final product design plans whatever. But I guess if some 10yr old female tac'd some steel together for a TiC-ToK video you may have saves her life right ha ha ha ha ahhhhhh......had to try to get a laugh in ! .......try he he There are some neat ideas, I pictured fingers caught in the scissors jack lol.... I betting you worked welding or fab OR you were just in heavy & dangerous enough to [mentally] go there thinking SAFETY 1st !! I did on every project they shared lol ! I have been in\around powered high wide & heavy a way long time. Welding fab etc. also right. ! I'm old as dirt.........../;^) Peace Out ~ Always Forward

    A lot easier to watch with the sound muted ! On the end of your jack handle the tube is bent so you can work the release valve , you don't need pliers .

    Thanks for vid ..you obviously have a mechanical and creative mind....and love working with tubular steel and welding .. I always love 'home-brewed ' stuff but .some ideas scare me though and I wonder how much scratches to painted bodywork were sustained ...you need another garage to store all these DIY tools !!!! at 27.27 made me laugh and at 21.50 too long and complicated to assemble ; grab a step ladder and done ...

    Good advice by the way. Noticed that a few welds looked iffy. The Man does grind some of them down, so he seems to be aware that some welds are suspect.... But yeah, *safety first*...

    A car should not be lifted in the centre of the sill one whole side at a time. Regardless of the adaptions fitted to the jacks, the lip of the door sill is not strong enough to support half the weight of a vehicle (hence why reinforced jacking positions are placed at each end of the sills by manufacturers.

    that battery powered jack must be the earthest slowest jack. You should probably replace it and the time you get back from a jack that actually works would far outweigh the time you took to make the battery powered jerker....

    4:00 NO FFFF'in way!!!!!!! Go a bit too far and punch a nasty hole in the floor pan or gas tank. 10:30 That is NOT a jacking point on that vehicle. I was waiting to see the car fold in half, and yes, you can easily find KZread videos where that happens. Also while lifting the side of the car like that, if that bar gets away from you, you're going to have a pretty nasty dent in the side of the car, and if you're really lucky, a broken window. 18:30 AGAIN.....those are NOT jacking points......see above.

    Your hand slips off the handle and you're pressing down hard with your body OVER it for weight/leverage, your FACE or RIBS are going to have a nasty dent it them. The wight of a car transferred into that handle with the speed it would travel could kill you.
