@@bonifacelukosi9580 How on earth is Checo reliable? He’s a safe driver, but he is just sometimes way off the pace and has been slower than both Mercedes on multiple occasions.

To the Hamilton and Verstappen debate: Max now has 7 season on his back so i looked up the stats of both after 7 seasons. It is common knowledge that both have one championship, which was decided on the last lap. Lewis has 22 Wins and Max has 20. Lewis has 31 poles Max has "only" 13 So max has a much higher Win/Pole rate, but Lewis is better in qualy. Lewis has 54 Podium while Max has 60 of them. Lewis got beaten by a teammate twice (2011 JB and 2016 by the one that beat Hamilton in equal machinery) while max got beaten twice (2016 and 2017. He of course switched teams mid season of 16) The stats are very similar and i think this shows what everyone should see, that these two are in a league of their own, that they absolutely smash the competition on a regular base! i think that we should be more grateful for how amazing drivers we can see driving!

I think max having a higher win to pole rate is bcoz the rb wins he got until 2019 were not from pole which is a long time

For me it would have to be Fernando + Leclerc together at Ferrari. Fernando has been around long enough and has enough sense to call Ferrari out on their blunders and either prevent them from happening or straighten the team out. And honestly I think if given a top car he could still win races and dare I say be in the championship fight.

@@TommoOnKZread Verstappen and Alonso would be an amazing pairing and I don’t think it would be nearly as ‘fiery’ as all that….they appreciate and like each other’s driving style (they are both Old School) and the biggest thing to worry about with them on track is how they would get past each other without team orders…. ….in short, they wouldn’t. Even WITH team orders, now that I think about it.

@@TommoOnKZread only issue I see with a Verstappen and Alonso pairing at say RB is that RB would definitely see Alonso as their 2nd driver and if push came to shove would prioritise Max. I want Alonso in a team where if he's outperforming or matching his team mate he'll be given equal opportunity. Also I think his experience and no nonsense attitude is exactly what Ferrari need to straighten themselves out atm.

If they have had 2 championship contenders they would both get equal treatment. Just hasn’t happened yet. RB, and any team for that matter, just care about one thing and that is winning.

Completely agreed, and I love Perez, don't get me wrong, but I'm absolutely 100% convinced that if the lineup would be Verstappen and Alonso, Leclerc would only be third in the championship and not second... There is no "the car doesn't suit my style" with Alonso, he can drive any car fast. Red Bull should have snatched him for next year, sorry Sergio :(

Ever since I heard that Fernando signed for Aston Martin I can't help but feel like if Red Bull snatched him up, we would have seen an AMAZING display of talent from Fernando alongside Max, because the man can sit in any car and drive it fast. I had hoped the same thing…Checo is amazing and I love Checo…but Max and Alonso would also have had that wisdom/fierceness pairing that RedBull was going for. Who knows? It may still happen if Checo’s contract isn’t renewed but I doubt it…Checo is driving at a very high level alongside Max and being paired with a generational talent, as RedBull has discovered, is a psychological hit for younger/less successful drivers. Fernando wouldn’t suffer from that hit for sure.

Spoiler alert. As of Nov 2022 3 of these pairings will happen: - Ocon/Gasly - Norris/Piastri - Magnessen/Hulkenberg

Charles, Seb, Max, Lewis, Fernando, Lando. Any combination of those would be insane, to be honest. A personal combo I wanted to see when I first heard Danny was leaving is Fernando and Lando on McLaren, but that won't happen, sadly. But yeah, Charles and Lewis (Ferrari) vs Max and Seb (Red Bull) would be awesome to watch and I really wanted to see that work. Even more awesome if we had something like Kimi and Lando (McLaren) and maybe Fernando and George (Mercedes)... of course, all with cars with similar performances. That will be my headcannon.

Think people also fail to realise that if Max joined Mercedes he would be starting off with a disadvantage because the Mercedes team is built around Lewis and the car is set up to suit him. Mercedes aren't going to alter their whole car concept to suit Max so Max would have to adapt his driving style to get the most from the Mercedes. Maybe he'd be able to do this but it would probably take time. This would also be true if Lewis joined Max at Redbull. People always say X driver could beat Y driver if they had the same car but they fail to take into account that the lead drivers have their cars built around them and it is not so easy to go to a new team with a completely different car and compete against another driver who's been there for years. This is shown by Danny Rics move to Mclaren.

Gasly + Ocon comments aged finer then Fernando

Either super friendly teams, or two guys trying to kill each other. And then Peréz and Bottas just chillin and vibing, you'd love to see it.

Verstappen + Vettel anyone? Imagine, Seb coming back in 2026 once the (supposed) Porsche + RBR alliance happens, 4 years after his retirement just like Schumacher did in 2010. Not to mention, it would be a driver lineup that would truly embody the past, present and future of the team

I love it. But Horner has said that Max and Seb are COMPLETELY different as drivers in terms of approach and how they drive…Seb is very much a ‘Michael’ guy who pours over the data, studies it and studies it far into the night whereas Max is a ‘hungry, visceral driver’ (his words) who just ‘feels’ the car and the road and doesn’t give a fig for the numbers…very much a ‘Senna’…but who knows? Maybe the pairing itself would work great. I was kind of sad to see RedBull didn’t pick Seb up when he went free agent after Ferrari, but Christian was probably thinking it would be best to keep the two champions in their spheres.

Verstappen & Hamilton being the number 1 voted choice really made my day. Because it's the one i'd really like to see the most but i never thought so many people thought the same way. And i actually think this would be a really wholesome pairing ESPECIALLY after last year. It's like in some stories where biggest rivals become best friends. I can kinda see that happening here. They'd be like, damn we're so good and we can barely beat each other, together we'll be untouchable. I just sense some kind of newly formed respect between those two after 2021. Max is definitely appreciating how good Lewis actually was now that he's running away with the title easily against Leclerc. Charles would still put up a solid fight if it wasn't for Ferrari but ultimately he's no Lewis Hamilton at this point in his career.

@@TommoOnKZread They’re relationship is probably much more mature than people think; Verstappen loves that little girl and as a father in a similar situation, the dynamic is no longer ‘macho young men fight over prize girlfriend’, there’s a child involved and I bet he’s happy that when he cannot be there, his daughter is loved. It’s not as if Max was the one who broke them up, he had been broken up with Kelly for months.

I would of put Max and Lando in a team together as they are both amazing drivers but they are also really good friends so they’d be less likely to have the fights that others have since they really don’t seem all that jealous of each other when the other does well and they don’t

After Brazil this year I have to disagree sorry.

Watching this today start of the 23' season and so far 2 of them have come true. K Mag and Hulk and Ocon and Gas

6:40 in their prime both, It's hard to say. Right now I'd definitely bet on Alonso, Vettel doesn't seem to care much anymore, while Fernando is still as lively as ever.

Red bull with Max and mick Mercedes with George and Alex Ferrari with Carlos and Charles McLaren with lando and Oscar That’s what I want to see Edit: Charles and mick could be either way for me

All great drivers should have a stint in Ferrari, so let Lewis have a crack. And I always thought RB promoted Alex too soon. So let's see what he can do in a top car now he's matured. MERCEDES: George & Lando. The only pairing and team combo I could see happening in the future. ALPINE: Gasly and Ocon. Its purely a French thing. MCLAREN: Charles & Carlos. They would hire Verstappen in an instant even if that would mean sacking Hamilton. Toto wanted to sign him ever since 2014 and has tried to sign him even after that. Not gonna happen tho after last season. Max seems to really dislike Merc which I completely understand.
