Almost nobody mentions the girl from dreamcatcher, Siyeon. That girl is a beast. She and her group are underrated as f*ck. I guess it's just hard for people to stan a group from a small company.

Wendy’s falsetto in psycho is proof that she’s the best main vocalist. I’ve seen a lot of comments comparing Wendy to yuju. But Wendy has much more versatility imo, her whistle/falsetto’s are everything. I still support both artists tho.

Asterthie in the pre-chorus Wendy uses a technique called the falsetto, and to "achieve" that technique you have to use your head voice ,so we're both technically correct. But thanks for the correction!

@@johnminlal3745 Yuju is not another level lol. She uses mixed range when she belts those high notes and it’s very nasally. She sounds just like any other idol singer. The only singer that belts with full chest voice is Solar, which is why I prefer her over others.

I’m surprised and rather disappointed that no one’s talking about Siyeon... She truly is an amazing vocalist. She’s very diverse, not the widest range, but her technique is very good. I really hope she gets the recognition she deserves. In my opinion, I believe she should be at the top.

The problem is that siyeon doesn't really support any of her note( she has shown some shallow supported G#4 that's all) so seeing her in 4th is a real problem 🤣 ( she is my bias and it's heart broken that someone with a very good vibrato and a wide range doesn't really support her note 😭) so she should be 15 or under unfortunately!!

Siyeon has one of the most unique voices in kpop, she can hit high notes, hit low notes, and her voice when talking is naturally husky.... idk how she does it

I really hope she doesn't damage her chords permanently because she has a beautiful voice. Honestly, I think HFE should give out the high notes more fairly, for benefit of Siyeon and the other members, as Siyeon sings almost every high note in their songs.

Ah yeah.. Yuju is one of the best main vocalist in this gen. but we can't still deny the fact that she's still underrated. People nowadays just really loves to sleep. 😪😪😪

Taste! I also stan DC and Mamamoo and I really like (G)I-DLE and RV although I wouldn't say I stan either. I'm admittedly biased, but I'd put both Wheein and Solar above Wendy. Wendy has a great voice but in the lives I've seen she likes to reach for little flourishes that she's hit or miss on. Maybe if she played it safer I'd never notice and I wouldn't be writing this comment now, but I can't trust that Wendy's going to consistently nail parts like I can with Solar and Wheein. I'm actually here because I read a comment on another video that was basically the same thing as yours and I couldn't believe it lol. Sounds like lots of people agree with you though!

For me, Wendy is the best singer in 3rd generation.. she can sing in every genre and she mastering various vocal techniques.. she also have power and her registers tho.. she deserves to be the queen of vocals in 3rd generations

I know it says "main singer" which Joy isn't, but to me, Joy is the most interesting singer in Red Velvet. Her phrasing, the way she interprets and delivers a melody, is so idiosyncratic, creative, and pleasing. IMO she's the most remarkable and memorable singer in Red Velvet and one of the very best in Kpop.

I may sound biased but there is really something when Wendy is singing. Just like earlier when I'm watching her on King of Mask Singer, I literally cried the whole time because I can feel her emotion when singing and at the same time I'm so proud because red velvet brought me to kpop.

@Jaasmi Remington both yuju and solar get a little shouty after the fourth octave. And also their head voices are a little weaker. Wendy has a more healthier technique and is also more versatile then both of them.

Wheein is actually a better vocalist than Solar but people think solar is the main vocal is becuz she gets the most high notes out of the members and they don’t have official positions cuz they’re all that good, I watched on Samuel Bradley’s channel (he’s a vocal coach btw) and he ranked wheein as number 1 vocalist in mamamoo

4 octaves and one note (one of the only two KPOP vocalists to have this range) not only skilled on high notes but also stable with her low notes, great technique, has 8 different voices inside of her, well developed head voice... Nah. Wendy is first.

@@ahhchuu4286 are you sure you're reveluv? wendy has better low register till F#3 with full sounds and better projection/not airy (some occasions, she has F3/Eb3 with good tonality but low larynx), consistently supports D5 (some Eb5) in her mixed register, upper register consistent up to A5, *good agility* (good controlled vibrato, good note separation on riffs n runs, crescendo, legato, u name it), *dynamics* , breathe control, etc... the only thing that yuju win is her mixed register but that was in her prime.

sure yuju can hit high notes but, what she said is true, being a vocalist is not just can hit high notes, count the techniques, all of them has emotion in every song yet wendy is very flexible, she can support hitting high notes, belting with vibrato, versatile as its finest, if you are reveluv then you must know that, you can hear that her voice is changing in every note of the song. calling yourself a reveluv lmao.

My Top 5 and my reasoning: 1. Yuju- her beautiful vocals are out of this world. 2. Wendy- amazing range, projection and emotion. 3. Seunghee- Her voice is beautiful, crystal clear...but also surprisingly airy. She has the voice of a literal angel. 4. Haeyoon- A beautiful and emotional voice. Her voice pulls at my heart strings when she sings ballads. 5. Yuri- her voice is unique and airy and husky. She has a deeper voice than most main vocalists. Also, she improved drastically in a short time. (Most main vocalists have a lot of professional practice singing before debut but Yuri was not really able to because of financial issues. Idol school was her first time getting any sort of training and then she only trained for 9 months before pd 48.)

my top five is wendy yuju solar sejeong yeonjung, but rosé had a special place in my heart.

I am not an Insomnia, I am a fan, because if I were an Insomnia I would like the seven members, but Handong is literraly filler in the group she doesn´t apport to anything, she´s worst vocalist, worst rapper and IN dancing is four but she´s not still three, above the half. And another argument to say she´s filler is that, if you did not know, someone is filler in a group when there´s another member that is better than him/her in the three categories (rap, vocal, dance) and SuA, JiU, and maybe Dami are better than her in the three categories while the rest is better than her in two, and my last argument to support my opinion is that everyone is main or lead in something except her. So everyone could be lead vocalist in DC except her. Kenichi Ono but Technique wise Wendy is way more superior and her technique is desirable. Try to listen to Yuju now her voice is overworked and tired due to pushing for them high notes and the company did nothing. Wendy keeps on getting high notes and still hasn’t damaged anything due to having a good upper register that isn’t being overuses

Why is no one talking about Siyeon? She IS one of the best main vocal in 3rd generation!! You guys need to see Minx - 'Why Did You Come To My Home' Obs: Minx was Dreamcatcher, before they debuted in 2014 with five members: JiU, SuA, Siyeon, Yoohyeon and Dami. And after they changed the concept (cute to rock and dark), the name of the group (Minx to Dreamcatcher) and included more 2 members (Handong and Gahyeon)

Yeah... I'm glad DC's getting recognition and Siyeon being put so high in this list gives justice to her talent. I'm not too surprised that she isn't being talked about much because even if DC is gaining recognition, we still have a small fanbase. But we can see how talented she is. I can never get over her high note in WDYCTMH... She's really an amazing main vocal. She has a wide range, like she can go high she can also go low like in their performance in Immortal Songs (DJ Ege I think?)

Wendy is the only 3rd Gen GG that has 4 octaves and 8 voices technique. The quality the emotion, wendy can reach high notes but she don't need that to be the best singer.
