The show isn't about them acting they literally have to stand still and be silent or lip sync for the idols to guess whether or not they can sing which is kinda sad because it can hurt the singers pride and confidence since they're literally judging a book by its cover

@secret don’t worry, the people that go on this show know what they’re signing up for. And the lip-sync part is really important bc the idols try to guess which voiceover suits the participants the best. In this case, the girl with the short hair probably was trying to trick seventeen into thinking that she was tone-deaf by acting. The show also gives two options for each person’s occupations, so the idols also guess whether people can sing or not based on the options for their occupations. For example, one time a woman came on and if she was a good singer, then she’s a principal, and if she’s tone-deaf, then she’s a teacher. Many people voted that she was tone-deaf because they said she looks like a teacher. So don’t worry, they’re not guessing whether they’re a good singer or not just based on looks. I hope that made sense 😊

The lyrics of the song itself are relatable to people who have gone through a hard time trying to debut. Like a downpour, their hardships will be passed soon. The song starts with them in a storm where they can't distinguish between the rain and their tears. When the girl gets choked up, her lyrics were, "Now goodbye" as to say that to the storm that has now passed and no longer present by the bridge of the song. It's like a spark of hope and it made me tear up a little too. If you know the lyrics and their situation, it's a very emotional performance.

I watch this anytime I see it and it still makes me tear up every time 😪😭

I'm not denying that they will gain more attention if they debut under big company, but it is also depending on their looks and talents to make people stay and create a 'loyal' fanbase. Idols that debut under big company will also face more burdens since they are carrying the company's name, and they will probably have haters once they are revealed to the industry world (trust me, idols from big company have more haters than the small ones). I will not talk about hardworks here since all the idols work hard to be in their place right now. 🙂

shamma m I think they were crying bcoz their debut keeps getting pushed and they’ve spent their whole life training only for them to be told that they’re not debuting yet. And the guests were sorry because they guessed them as tone deaf when they actually aren’t and the main aim of the show is to have the people who aren’t tone deaf to make it till the end so they can collaborate with the artists/guests that appeared on the show to make themselves more known to the public

Markhyuck&Renomin it does not only apply to Seventeen. NUEST and AfterSchool received the same treatment. More so, the most unfairly treated group was Nuest which were forced to only promote in Japan. Which made them decide to join produce 101, where there talent and hardwork shined brightly.

This is so bitter sweet reason being, people can finally recognise jihoon’s talents as a composer and songwriter. The amount of talent he has to create a song like downpour which irks so much emotion and pain, I’m glad that he’ll get more recognition from this (he’s trending #2 on melon currently!) However I just really wish these girls got the chance to win, they sang the song beautifully and it really makes me sad that their talent is going unrecognised. I hope that carats can support them because their voices are too beautiful for them to go unheard 😢 please support them!

Even though Woozi composed Downpour, he himself wouldnt know why this song felt so sad as they sang it but really I always want to asked Woozi what had he thought off when he was making this song cause when he produced a hype song its Hype and when he made a soothing song or a heartfelt song like what he did for Baekho and IOI, it is really pierced down to hearts and emotions out
