"You're not here" instantly takes me back to 2003. I was a senior in high school about to graduate and I was hanging out at my best friend's house along with my brother and other friends. He basically had a one room apartment over the garage all to himself that we would all hang out at. We had everything there including microwave and refrigerator. We were huge fans of the silent hill series so when the 3rd one came out, we all got together and ordered a bunch of pizzas and played all night. There was no alcohol or drugs, two things that I would end up getting into quite a bit about a decade later. In and out of jail in Japan and the US, so much shit I had to dig myself out of but those were the happiest years of my life back then. I'm currently in the Netherlands getting ready to go back to Japan and I guess I felt like taking a look back for a moment.

yeah, I miss my highschool days as well, even with high pressure from college entrance, enough exams to make one feel sick, sleep deprivation, bordem, it's better than college that has nothing but hollowness

I honestly forgot how good this song was till I heard it again. It has been far too long and it still sounds hauntingly beautiful.

I love these compilations because it shows how frequent the "unique Silent Hill riff" was used in different ways like in 2:57, 27:07, and 36:27

Great choices of songs, I love the Silent Hill Soundtracks. I was listening to Silent Hill 3's Soundtrack a few weeks ago, and I stopped at a traffic light. I had the windows down, and the guy next to me said "Fuck Yeah Man!!!" He knew what I was listening to, it's always good to see another Silent Hill fan out there.

I honestly hope to gods that we get some more stunning performances from this woman and Akira in the upcoming SH games and movie I would cry tears of happiness i swear.

Akira Yamaoka and Mary Elizabeth McGlynn are a match made in my restless dreams.

Letter from lost days is one of my favorites. I was a teen at the time and didn't know much about the first game so It wasn't as impacting as it was when I watched GirlGameGab play the first game and then played Silent Hill 3 and it was so sad. I can still remember what the conversation was during the song. And it was really good acting and still I cry a little when I listen to this song.

I'm dying in love with this songs, I love her and I'will never get tired of listening her voice

Acceptance hurts me so much. Makes me want to spend more time with my dad.

Tavell Clinton Mary Elizabeth McGlynn actually has an insanely large voice acting career (in MANY anime and video games- she's the voice of SH2 Maria) and has appeared as an actress on shows on top of being an amazing singer.

@@titangirl161 No, she wasn't Marias/Marys voice in the SH2 original, only in the HD Collection where she made an awful job. Sorry, she may bei a good singer, but her performance as Maria/Mary was just terrible compared to the original.
