WWF European Rampage Tour, absolutely abysmal wrestling game. Also WCW Nitro is far far worse than WCW Thunder (Nitro's sequel), Thunder is the game that they tried to fix a lot of the issues Nitro had.

I worked on WCW Backstage Assault doing QA testing back in 2000/2001. It was a horrible broken mess no matter what we did to it pre-launch. Some of the bugs were hilarious like wrestlers with sinks and chairs for heads and teleporting moves and other funny stuff. Biggups to the whole Attitude Era of rasslin and all the showboating shenanigans that defined that time.

Crazy how they’re only charging $23.99 for 2K20 but 2k19 is still full price 😂😂😂

Can someone explain to me what version people are running because I bought WWE 2K20 rather early and only get about the same amount of glitches, and bugs as most previous installments. I get the occasional odd visual glitch, usually with hair discoloration, and it crashes once or twice during my sessions but otherwise it's perfectly fine. I play on PS4 if that has something to do with my odd luck.

And about WWF Betrayal yeah it's not wrestling but it's playable and it's not that bad in gaming in general... It's more like Final Fight of WWF

Backyard Wrestling: Don't Try This At Home was my utmost favorite wrestling game to ever play growing up! I have no earthly idea how it's even on this list, and the rest of the comment section seems to agree. I remember the days of always looking forward to visiting my Aunt's apt so I can play it thanks to older cousin. Then taking that game to the youth center impressing all the people there brings a tear to my eye.

Everything is better when your a kid because you don't know any better. I'm not trying to be an asshole either, it's just facts. As a kid, I used to play NHL 94 (I think it was that one), all the time, against my older cousins. I used to think it was the greatest game alive, even up to the point, I played it again (as I got older). Realizing, wow, this game is actually boring and just bad... All I'm trying to say is that, when we get older and look back at the games we played as kids, we remember how GOOD they were.. but in reality, is was because we were kids and the game was actually bad. FYI - I played backyard wrestling as well, I loved it.. but I know if I played it now, I'd be thinking how shit this game is. I understand, time changes, but we can't go back in time when the game got released, so all we can do is look at the games now and think "would I enjoy playing this game". The answer to all of these games, are no.

Okay, seriously. Can you please cut the volume of the intro by about 50%? It should be at about the same sounding volume as the rest of the video. I have to mute the video until the intro is done because it's too loud.

Never even heard of WWF Betrayal or that Hulk Hogan Kinect one before.

I loved the little promos in the character selection screen on WCW Nitro and Thunder. To each their own.

Maybe I didn’t know better as a kid, but Backstage Assault was a blast for me. I remember playing the career mode to unlock everyone and how interactive the stages were.

8:23 W2K18, the cheapest switch game I ever brought and I can see why. The online mode was cut off earlier than the average game on the market over the years (Splatoon's online is still going and that game is older than W2K18). I most likely wouldn't have bothered buying it but I am a real sucker for Character Creation games which is probably as good as that game gets, but the game is so slow doing anything, I can't even be bothered to customize my move sets as it took at least half an hour just to create the appearence of one created wrestler, even "The Day of Reckoning 2" or "My Sims Party" (Not a wrestling game I know) loaded faster than W2K18 and they were slow. W2K18 had potential and if it loaded faster, performed and looked better. It's online service would still be working today and I could have really customized my ocs with their unique textures not in the game natively.

WCW Backstage Assault had a great Set Up. The only thing they lacked in was Roster , Arenas & Graphics. It should’ve been just like it is but just like Wrestlemania 2000 & No Mercy with better roster , The graphics & Championship matches & Customization. I’m still mad to this day it wasn’t like that lol

Acclaim was going under anyways, Showdown could have sold 20 million copies and Acclaim would still have had to file for bankruptcy

WWE Superstars was fun tho, so was Smackdown vs. Raw 2007..... and I loved Def Jam Icon. WWE Immortals should be remade & put on the major consoles like Mortal Kombat.

Don’t forget Wrestlemania X8 (GameCube) and Smackdown vs Raw 2008.

I must admit, the only bug I have ever faced in WWE 2K20 is both wrestlers floating on top of the HIAC after breaking the panel under them. I secretly wish I could see more glitches

The older games are much better than todays games. WWF royal rumble on sega megadrive, WWF attitude, warzone, smackdown 1, here comes the pain and just bring it. Also smackdown vs Raw 2k8 weren't bad

I loved In Your House being 8 and In Your House was the hippest WWF pay per view at the time loved the house stage.. I liked Wrestlemania the arcade game, was a huge 90's Mortal Kombat fan so I enjoyed In Your House. Was usually Bret Hart.. What's everyone's opinion of War Zone for PS1 and N64 these days??

WWE 2k 18 was bad on PS4 as well. If you do the 8 man battle royal match, it is pretty much unplayable. The story mode was very repetitive and boring. It was also very glitchy since I was told to go after the wrong wrestlers, they did fix that eventually but it kept me from wasting money on future WWE games.

I'm probably the only person in the world who loved WCW: Backstage Assault. I loved the large amount of backstage areas, weapons, and unlockables! I was quite happy with it. It was definitely FAR from perfect, but I felt it was much better then WCW Mayhem because it was so unique. Mayhem was just a much shittier version of WCW/NWO Revenge. However, I recently played Backstage Assualt again and found that the flaws it had back then have only become even more apparent with time. I think it really could have been an amazing gem of a game if only they hadn't half-assed it the way they did. The graphics and controls are so fucking horrible that it's just unbelievable that it was actually released like that.

I've actually played 2k20 on my PS4 It crashed one time and the bugs only happened in replay mode

I'm a huge Fire Pro fan that skipped the X360 game. One look at the trailer made my decision to not get it. PS2s Fire Pro Wrestling was the best of that era.

How is it that this list is missing: -WWF Wrestlemania (Aklaim) (NES) -WWF Steel cage Challenge (NES) -WWF Super Wrestlemania (SNES) -WWF Warzone (Playstation) -WCW Nitro (Playstation) I honestly found Backstage Assault way better than these five. And Backstage Assault may be far from great but does it a lot of undeserved hate. Destroying some areas like the restroom was fun, commentary was great (one sound clip has Tony & Heenan argue), and in some areas, you can actually light an opponent on fire. Has way more replay value than others.

Hm... 2K19 still has the slowmotion wrestling problem. 2K18 also crashes when you use an injured superstar in a bout or promotion in Universe mode. The thing that wrecked 2K20 was the same thing that killed the NHL2K series. The actual developer, after years of fine tuning the series, left 2K in the middle of development and left zero notes in the code. So the new devs had to learn everything from scratch and basically just tweak the existing code as much as they could. It was a disaster and now there's no more NHL2K at all.
