Honestly, multiple personality disorder pretty much describes all the backlash I've been getting for not liking Rise of the TMNT. Even though I explained my reasons for disliking it multiple times, despite being a TMNT fan. Seriously, I wish people would stop forcing me to watch something I'm not interested in.

#7 isn't a fuck up. The bookcase also stands in the middle of the room. If the argument of the audience was true, the bookcase should only be half visible, because that wall separating the two rooms is in the way! Don't worry, Critic, I agree with you here XD

Another thing to make it impossible is that the argument that viewers gave him about the wall being far enough away from the bookcase would mean that you would only see half the bookcase, and in the video game, you get a full size room and a full view of the bookcase.

I remember when he did the TMNT review and thought "Oh boy, that cigarette joke about Mako's voice is going to bite him in the ass". I did realize that he probably didn't know that the actor had quite recently died of cancer, so the joke was likely not of ill intent, but yeah, that's probably the biggest mess up Doug has ever done.

15:00 that was the theme exactly. The purpose of the movie was to give thematic reason to make room for new characters in the roster. There was serious backlash from fans when Optimus died because Hasbro didn't realize just how popular he was at the time

The Mako thing was hilarious! The "smoking a million Marlboro's" was exactly what I was thinking when I first heard him talk! I just find it sad that he had to apologize to all of those nerds even though making fun of these movies is his job! Did they really not know what the Nostalgia critic does!?

I meant the design. I'd always heard the original 1954 Gojira was based on the country's fears of the long-term effects of radiation. Marine iguanas are common as hell in the oceans to the south of Japan, so I assumed one was effected enough by the radiation to mutate.

Sir the 98 Godzilla is not Godzilla and was mutated from a iguana but you commented below about the original, that is not an iguana, it’s inspiration was the body of a T. rex the spines of a stegosaurus and the arms of an iguanodon. Yes it sits up on its tail this was back before they reconstructed dinosaurs, and in Godzilla vs king ghidorah they say he was mutated from the fictional godzillasaurus

The Banshee was very scary if your were a kid and watched the whole movie. I remember watching it a second time and even knowing what was at the door and playing the side wards looking game that some kids do, STILL got scared because of the atmosphere and tension! I'm right there with you N.C.!

Banshee is #1 in my book I've watched a lot of horror movies with lots of supposedly scary things in them but none of those scared me quite like the banshee in Darby O Gill when I was little. I still love that movie though, so great.

Probably not relevant to mention this on a 5 year old video, but I just wanted to point something out. At 12:36, during the scene where you made a smoking joke, that's not Mako. He died during production of that movie, and though he was uncredited in the film, Mako's role was filled by his understudy Greg Baldwin, who also took up his roles as Iroh in Avatar and Aku in Samurai Jack.

Well Douchy found mistakes. But man, the Existence of People like him is a Mistake on a whole other level.

I think a big mistake you made was ignoring and skipping Mewtwo's quote: "I see now that the circumstances of one's birth are irrelevant, it is what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are". It was a famous quote that showed the true message of Pokemon the first movie, just because nothing in life matters, your pointless, and people can be cruel, doesn't mean you can't enjoy life while you can. It was a quote that has been passed down and beloved by not just Pokemon fans, but people who are passionate about stories, and I've even seen it engraved at a high school, name and everything. We probably would have loved to hear your thoughts on the quote, and know if you really agreed with it, disagreed, or if you didn't think it was well executed and didn't do a good job conveying the message. I'm not mad at you for having freedom of opinion, I'm letting you know what you don't understand.

Is this version of the video an edit? Waaaay back in 2009 when this originally aired, when talking about Mako's work Critic didn't describe Avatar as a "hit show," back then he had said he "never heard of it."

you know thinking back on it, when i was little.. very little.. and watched power rangers, i recall that the black guy was in the black suit and the asian girl in the yellow... however i never made the connection that the colors of the suits matched their race. in fact i thought the asian girl was in a yellow suit because yellow was almost as girly as the pink and no guy would want the yellow suit.. so i made it into more of a gender thing.. but then again i was 6 and wasn't even aware that people connected the color yellow to asian..

Luffy Well, I don't know how true this is, but somewhere I read that Amy Jo Johnson was less comfortable being the Yellow ranger because she already had body image issues at the time, and the Yellow ranger suit was worn by a male during fight scenes, so Thuy Trang offered to take it. Again, there's a good chance that isn't true, lol

So did I. Unlike the Japanese version, Power Rangers had 2 females on the team. Out of all the colors Yellow was the closest to a "feminine" color so it makes sense why Trini (whose original actress, btw, was Mexican before she left and Thuy Trang got the role) the yellow ranger. Walter Jones had a choice between Blue and Black and he chose Black. Also, wearing a color isn't even a 'stereotype'. Theres no stereotype of Asians wearing Yellow or Black peoples wearing black. That's not at all what stereotype even means.

You know, the term 'lizard' includes over 6000 different species - so yeah, I guess it's logical that they eat almost everything, if you view them as a whole. Also, while some might argue that it was a pretty low blow with Mako and the cigarette joke, seeing how NC didn't know that at the time really only makes it a blunder and nothing else. Of course nothing keeps him from reading the wiki article about someone before writing a joke, so yeah xD And in defense of the arguments "why didn't you include x in your top11/ put x at number x", people seem to have a hard time grasping the concept that these lists reflect the NCs personal opinion, not the majority. That's just bullshit, but I love that he wants to make up for it nonetheless :D

This is by far my favorite episode!
