Great list, only three remarks: - "Tommy the cat is a nice song" but you have to put in the two ultimate Primus songs (puppies and J. the fisherman) because it's due to Les Claypool's bass that they are THAT awesome... - No Kyuss, if you would have known their catalogue (especially "And the Circus Leaves Town" and "Welcome to Sky Valley") you would have reshapen your top 20 maybe even top 10 - NO STU HAMN, common man you have to give him a place in this list

Golden Earring's Radar Love, Van Morrison's Moon Dance, Brand X's Percy Jones (all songs) Bass part build up on Freebird. Chris Dunn from City Boy (all songs). Miss You from the Stones,.And where's Carol Kaye? These are off the top of my head, there are a ton of others, many better than some here in your vid. Nonetheless, you did a good job. It was entertaining (and educational even)
@tedpertzborn14806 жыл бұрын
I literally leaned in towards my monitor, and, in a scornful, judging voice, said "did you just put Blink one-fucking-eighty-two over JACO?" And then the actual number one popped up, and I was able to exhale. Well played. I don't agree with all your picks, but hey, variety is the spice of life, no?? I'll be looking into a few new bands/bassists because of this video. Thanks!

I personally really appreciate Iron Maiden's Blood On The World's hands. always thought that tune is heavily overlooked for many reasons, including the bass intro.

Hey, can you put a tracklist out of the songs you put in to this video? Badass riffs these got, and i want to listen through all the tracks. :D Thanks, and thumbs up!
Blink is my favorite band, and i saw that and say wtf! and just laugh really hard, that will never be better than jaco, claypool, flea, etc, and then i saw you were just kidding and i laugh louder xD just pretty fucking good i like that
This list is like 80% metal, grunge and alternative bass lines, 10% obvious basslines, and like 10% basslines from legends that should have way more than 2 mentions
needs more primus
Good list dude
theres a lot of primus (les claypool) epic basslines

Nearly every one of them
This is a super good list.
well researched, you'll never get total consensus about anything amongst passionate musicians.
Ryan Martinie
Come Together, Another One Bites The Dust, Money & Dazed and Confused should be higher.
no complaints here. Good list, with a nice mix of genres. Rock, metal, prog, jazz, etc
a nice variety of styles.
Geddy Lee mentioned once.......are you for real?

Les Claypool is without a doubt one of the top 3 if not the best bass player of all time. Just because you can't handle their uniqueness doesn't make them bad.
Give Cliff whichever place on the list, i still think he's the best!
oh my godddd when Blink 182 came up I just about punched a wall ahaha
Wow. IM SURPRISED TAHT RANCID EVEN MADE THE LIST. great choice!!! I love maxwell murder
Was really fooled by the last one!! Great..
Great lines
cual es el tema de victor wooten??? hay un video de ese tema?
no james jamerson? jack casady? larry grahm? phil lesh? scott lafaro? bastante cuestionable.

Phil Lesh???? Cough.
Well played. I said "number fucking one?!" When Blink 182 came on.
It was entertaining (and educational even)
I literally leaned in towards my monitor, and, in a scornful, judging voice, said "did you just put Blink one-fucking-eighty-two over JACO?" And then the actual number one popped up, and I was able to exhale. Well played. I don't agree with all your picks, but hey, variety is the spice of life, no?? I'll be looking into a few new bands/bassists because of this video. Thanks!
is #3 just reserved for all of Victor Wooten's bass solos?
I honestly can't believe that 46 & 2 by Tool and Jerry Was a Racecar Driver by Primus didn't end up on this list, cause those are some pretty great Basslines
nice list i laughed at the end;) i would include blast by marcus miller and replace higher ground with c'mon girl (way harder) but besides that i think its solid
When I saw the fake nr 1 I was just thinking: F**k this s**t, I'm out! But when I saw the real nr 1, I was just: Just as I expected. Fantastic.
Steve Harris!!! Always #1 for me, nice list though. But I was surprised to not see Wrathchild or Number of the Beast on here.
Fantastic list.....totally agree with YYZ
The end spooked me😂😂
interesting list agree with some.
Great video! I just miss Larry Graham and Mark King. They would have made my top 100.
Glad Bob Hardy and Chris Wolstenholme are getting love. Big inspirations for the way I write lines.
Song at the beginning?
Where's the bass solo from "Kinemortophobia" by Infamia Di Creti?
man i was gonna flip at the end
orion solo?

I think Flea is ok, but he can't beat Chris Squire, Jaco and Geddy. Muse is only about catchy bass lines, they don't focus on bass performance.
What's the intro song?
Ryan Martinie should have been at least top 10. But this is your list and I respect that
Only one of Primus ?
Great video- note about 75% of these riffs were played on a or Jazz bass.
….making my new playlist
WOW it was great to see Molotov and Chancho en Piedra here, Felipe Illabaca is one of the greatest chilean bass players ever
one of those songs were in the movie goodfelas
Grande Flea!
Very good job trying to cover a world of music in 100 places.. In reality there will be hundreds more that someone will say 'should have been there!'. I personally really appreciate Iron Maiden's Blood On The World's hands. always thought that tune is heavily overlooked for many reasons, including the bass intro.
Dammit that Blink 182 got me
