Yeah so I'm wondering if the poor bastard who took the beating is the one who got charged? Usually I'd say a player is almost justified to go kick that person's ass but because he went after the wrong guy which in turn had his other teammates beat up people who tried to stop it I'd definitely say Ron Artest (Meta World Peace) wasn't close to being justified

@@HyphyJuice916 Not to say Artest was in the right, but considering the he was already in agitated state I can’t entirely blame him for mistaking the wrong person (who turned out to be the man in blue). All he saw is red and how the cup was thrown from where he was at it looked like it came from his general area. But still he should’ve been the bigger man and not rush out and beat up someone and he did get suspended for the entire season and the actual person probably got banned for life. It’s fair to assume he made it up to the wrong guy, or at least was settled out of court.

The fact that the NBA is 83% African American and basketball is considered a "Black sport" it's the reason the malice in the palace is considered the more, "infamous" sport brawl in history, yet the fight they showed in the NHL, where they fought the fans in the stands, isn't! NHL, a sport that consists of 99.99999 European males, where they're LITERALLY ALLOWED TO FIGHT! Yet the NBA gives out HUGE PENALTIES IF A FIGHT TAKES PLACE! Hell, when a NBA player gets a technical foul, they're fined money! Now lets see all the white racist, "whiteplain" the blatant racist double standard between both sports and how they view each sport and their players differently, when it comes to violence within both sports!

Despite antidotal evidence that is so blatancy and has been happening for 100's of years to African Americans, white racists like you, SAYS RACISM DOESN'T EXIST AND NEVER HAPPENS TO BLACK PEOPLE IN AMERICA! How much you want to bet, you're thinking of making the comment, "I didn't say racism doesn't exist....BUT". it's plain white racism, when white people make the rebuttal, that anti-black racism from white people does exist, yet NEVER ACTUALLY SAY IT OUT RIGHT AND ALWAYS MAKE EXCUSES ON HOW ANY AND EVERY PARTICLUAR INSIDENT, WASN'T WHITE PEOPLE BEING RACIST AGAINST BLACK PEOPLE!

A good list, but one that should have been a top 20 rather than a top 10. Notably absent (and should have been #3) was Lee Elia's profanity-laden locker room tirade. Bryan Price's equally f-bomb rich post-game interview is also missing. However, you did manage to include most of the sports world's shortest fuses - Earl Weaver's on-field tantrums were the stuff of legend, and Lou Pinella was constantly on the verge of blowing a gasket. Johnny Mac could be a hall of fame level freakout artist, though you missed Ilie Nastase, another tennis legend with legendary tantrums. Regardless of all else, there is no surpassing the Malice at The Palace, though you might have included the riot that erupted during an old Richard-era Montreal Canadiens game, where players and fans combined to create a scenario that wrecked a small portion of Montreal.

Interesting fact: The 1979 Daytona 500 was the time the most prestigious NASCAR auto race was televised live (CBS). I remembered most of these incidents, including "The Pine Tar Game". Only additional info Mojo forgot to mention: (1) While the Kansas City Royals did win the protest and the game resumed, ultimately in a Royals victory a few weeks after the game, George Brett did not return to the game, as that infamous resulted in his ejection. (2) A different umpiring crew traveled to the Bronx (my hometown, FYI) to finish the resumption of the game. More about the incident/game can be found in Wikipedia (go to your favorite search engine and type " pine tar game").

*#0: Everybody Shoots. Goofy in Hockey Homicide.* "In the dramatic match between the Loose Leafs and the Ant Eaters, one major factor resulted in the entire stadium going nuts. While two hockey players trying to kill each other multiple times in a row might seem like much, that's nothing compared to the mess that unfolds after the referee accidentally drops all the pucks. Both teams go ballistic as they keep scoring over and over again with no way to stop it. The resulting chaos got so bad, the audience participated in an all out brawl that soon filled the entire ice rink. There were tons of injured victims in the riot, but the hockey players were found on the stands watching the brawl unfold. The ending pretty much sums it up: That's why Ice Hockey is called a spectator sport."

@@texleeger8973 Yea, Lambert was and is still an ass, everyone knows he did what he did on purpose and sadly it worked. IT pissed off Bird and Parish enough to get them into trouble. Started a Brawl during play offs. He's a guy that in today's NBA would of been kicked out of the League.

I don't know, but I think Phillip Wellman might be the best one of all time and doesn't even belong on a list of the worst. It's obvious it was done for comedic effect.
